I'm glad we booked with this tour because we were able to experience places that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. My favorite was the silk village. The craftsmanship in Vietnamese culture is fascinating and beautiful. Getting a first hand look at silk making, rattan weaving and knife making was very special. The train street and cave was also really cool. And of course the food and goodies we had were delicious! They showed me what I've never seen before. a beautiful cave more than 10km from the center of Hanoi. Some long-standing trade villages. I was also given a souvenir to take home. I had lunch at a luxurious restaurant and beautiful restaurant space. I appreciate this tour product. It is worth the attentionWritten November 18, 2019

I recently went on a Local Mates motorbike tour and was amazed at how much I learnt about Hanoi. We traveled to the countryside and experienced local cultures. My highlight was visiting the cave where Ho chi Minh held meetings during the war. All of the guides were extremely knowledgeable spoke great English and were very friendly. I would recommend this tour to anybody looking to explore more of Hanoi you will learn much more and see a very different side of the city. Thank you so much for a great trip Mr Boo!!!

These guys are fantastic ! The tour was not only interesting, but very educating! The guides were fantastic and they speak great English. I enjoyed this type of tours! It takes you to places that you can't find on your own, and that other agencies just wont take you to! I recommend you book this tour ASAP! Really happy with it, worth every penny!

If you are looking to go off the beaten track In Hanoi, this is the tour for you. I am not a fan of big tourist hubs so this was perfect. We started early at 8am and did a few main attractions including train st. and had lunch where former president Obama had a meal in the tv show no reservations, but that was about it for the tourist destinations. Start early and avoid the tourists. After lunch I was shown the real Hanoi with not a tourist in sight. Visiting people living on the red river was extremely interesting and humbling to say the least and riding a ferry with locals was definitely a highlight as they probably weren’t expecting some huge westerner jumping a ride across a small body of water. My guide was amazing and treated me with the utmost respect. However, I did have to tell him to stop apologising at one stage and that was the only issue I had. So no problems at all. I think I learnt more about the culture in 6 hours than a month of online research I did before I arrived. I thoroughly recommend this tour and I found it great value for money. This is the only way to experience Hanoi in my opinion.
