We had a fabulous experience on Peony 3D2N cruise only 1 week after the terrible typhoon Was lucky they only just opened the bay day before was due to go Everything was well organised from start to finish We booked a second floor room Which was perfect was celebrating our 42nd anniversary too Our tour guide Mr Binh booked this for us with transfers from Hanoi On arrival lovely welcome with a drink & delicious buffet lunch John explained what was happening in next few days We was given our room key Our room was beautiful decorated by them 😊 We soon got moving un packed Went in to pool to chill weather was lovely so hot then it was happy 2hrs on cocktails & spirts Great meeting everyone with only 20 cabins was a perfect amount of people We then had 5 course evening meal WOW the food was amazing they did a special celebration for our anniversary too which was a lovely surprise thank you Later that evening was pancake roll making & another happy 2hrs again Next morning was up early for tai chi 6am with Elvis was great lovely sunrise then was breakfast excellent spread eggs to order Then was our 1st excursion bamboo boat into the faves or you can take canoes was so hot & sunny so please someone else was rowing Which was so beautiful & relaxing we then was back for lunch again the food so delicious I’m not big on fish they was happy to cook something else fantastic 💕 Again another 5 course meal outstanding presentation the staff all were amazing couldn’t do enough for you Again was pancake demonstration and also squid fishing. We took a day boat when visiting which was lovely the lunch was fantastic again Last day we had a trip a bus to then walk in caves cat ba island we couldn’t do the bike ride due to storm damage Back on board was a brunch then we paid bill ready to leave So pleased we did the 2 nights has 1 night was so rushed ❤️ it all thank you to all the staff Tom John & Elvis

This cruise was a fantastic experience despite a last-minute cabin change, which the team handled smoothly. The new boat had everything we needed, including a lovely pool that added to our enjoyment. With breathtaking views, delicious food, and friendly staff, the entire trip was a delight. Special thanks to Jimmy, whose attentive service made everything feel personal and memorable. This cruise became one of the highlights of our journey, leaving us with unforgettable memories.

The Peony cruise exceeded our expectations in every way. Our comfortable and well-appointed room offered stunning views of Halong Bay. The food was delicious, catering to our dietary needs with ease. We especially enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere on board. The staff, were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our entire group, including our young grandson, felt well cared for. The top deck, with its jacuzzi, bar, and sunbeds, provided the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets. We highly recommended this cruise to anyone seeking a memorable and relaxing getaway in Halong Bay.

Two Big Negatives about a great Luxury Boat and great crew, not to mention the breathtakingly beautiful and unique location. 1. The Ship is anchored more than an hour away from the port. Travel to it is in a swelteringly hot boat and took us 90 minutes. No AC and hard bench with no back rest. Other similar 4 and 5 deck boats are parked right at the port. Up and down a good 3 hours is wasted sitting in a tinder box. 2. The checkout time is 9 am and they are very firm about that, even though the small boat taking us to the port was departing only at 10.20 am. 3. I guess the Food is as good as most 3 star hotels, but the service is excellent. 4. Soft drinks and liquor are charged and expensive. No fridge in my superior room. But spectacular view from the bedroom and even the bathtub. If you want to avoid the torrid 3 wasted hours, book on a ship parked at the port.

Excellent! We had a good time during our stay with special thanks to Jasmine, Jason and Buu! The ship has a very cozy environment, staff were very attentive and their meals provided were delicious!

I did the 2 day 1 night cruise with Peony around Halong Bay as a solo Mum with my 5 month old baby. I was a little nervous just beforehand as I had seen several reviews indicating that there was no time to relax etc and the activities were mandatory. I don't know if they have changed due to feedback or I was just lucky with timing, but want to confirm here that all the activities were very much optional - I had hoped to take part but my son started napping just before one of them, so I stayed on board, as did several others and the announcements were calling "any guests who wish to join". Similarly for the morning walking tour of the caves, I hadn't had much sleep (thank you baby, haha!) so stayed in bed watching the stunning scenery from my window. I disembarked feeling incredibly relaxed, having spent most of the cruise in my wonderful cabin. I booked the deluxe double suite, which is at the back and has a fantastic jacuzzi bath with dual aspect windows and a dual aspect private balcony. Obviously, at 5 months my baby is not mobile, so the balcony was fab as it meant he could sleep on the bed inside and I could read a book and enjoy the scenery. I was also worried beforehand about the transfer to the ship by the taxi boat (I cannot comment on road transfer from Hanoi as I did this with a private driver to allow comfort stops to feed my baby). The sea transfer was actually fine - I have a travel pushchair (JoolzAer+) which is quite narrow so I left my son in it for the transfer and the staff were very good at helping me move it on and off safely. There was another baby onboard (7 months) and that couple folded the pushchair away and used a baby sling for the transfer, which also worked well. We enjoyed the jacuzzi pool on the upper deck - what a scenic place to relax!

We had a wonderful 2 nights on Peony 1. We were fortunate to be upgraded to the Premium Deluxe room on floor 2 and was complete luxury! Food, staff, tours, everything was first class. Amazing experience. Bobby was an absolute legend and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. Great sense of humour and great customer service. Would recommend and do again.

The staff were great Leo looked after us, and they were great with the kids. The food is delicious, the cabins are comfortable. Swimming and Kayaking, with Island adventures in between. Waking up on Halong bay, with the sun coming out from behind the rocky outcrops was great.

What a disappointing experience. The boat is not well maintained!~!!! 2 passengers cut themselves on pieces of jagged metal. My husband cut his leg and got a small amount of blood on the bed linen. We were asked to pay for the linen. (Couldnt launder dried blood out for some reason). We were asked to prove the injury happened on board and show them the spot it happened! Nobody asked how my husbands injury was!. We were ignored by management staff from then on as we refused to pay for new linen. I wouldn't travel with this company again!!!!! PS I contacted the company by email so I didn't have to leave this review - but no reply!

I and Hoi had a great short trip this time, it is so really nice service on the boat. I loved to spend my time on the sundeck. Would recommend this cruise to everyone
