I am so glad that I decided to do this tour day one of our trip to Hanoi. I highly recommend doing it the first day so that you understand about the things around you especially the traffic. The volunteer guides for the Ho Chi Minh museum were amazing, they were fun to speak to (one told me the fortune of my palms) and very informative about the museum! I would definitely recommend having any of the guides show you around the exhibits

My best friend, her mom and I were visiting Hanoi for only three days during a whirlwind tour of Vietnam. Several websites and video guides suggested the Hanoi Free Private Tours and we were happily surprised that we could set one up with just a few hours' notice. But the best was yet to come. Our guide, Gracie, met us at our hotel and offered to come up with a customized tour, skipping some of what we'd seen the day before, and showing us sites with historical and cultural significance that deserved the knowledge and context an experienced guide could give. And wow, she was amazing! Gracie helped us understand thousands of years of history, and as we toured the Ho Chi Minh museum, and its surrounding neighborhood, she really helped us understand how the Vietnamese people have successfully defended their culture and sovereignty against some of the most powerful governments in world history (the Chinese, then the French, and most recently the Americans). The three of us are American, so we appreciated that our peoples can share understanding and compassion for each other. We ended our tour at Chùa Một Cột, aka One Pillar Pagota, which is a rebuilt Buddhist temple that was breathtaking and was a fitting end to a tour rooted in genuine cultural exchange. The Hanoi Free Private Tours has been the highlight of our trip so far and I would give it—and Gracie—six stars if I could!

Khann made the tour so interesting and fun! We tried some delicious food. She will customize it to what you want to try or learn. She is so enthusiastic and will she answer any questions you have. Definitely do this tour.

Our guide Trần Thị Hoa (Anna) was amazing! She gave us such great details about the history of Hanoi and Vietnam while expertly moving us through the chaos. She was funny, kind and attentive. We loved all of it! If you are coming to Hanoi I would definitely recommend doing this.

It was a great experience, I tried foods like spring rolls and you have to do it yourself makes it interactive, the deserts theyre so cheap and the guide pick some nice spots and food places to go to, had a lot of walks, the conversations were great, like how chopsticks should be the same sizes great convo with the guide, learned a lot

We had a Tour with our guide Chubby and it was amazing. She didn't just gave us kontext to the historiy and reasons of the places we've visited but gave us a lot of more insights into the culture and living of the people as well as nice food recommedations. We had a blast of a time and are very greatfull towards our guide.
