From start to finish the experience was much smoother than I had expected, it is a bit of organised chaos but everything works as stated, picked up from our hotel, driven to the port, transported to the cruise liner, ferried around the bay, trip to the cages and back to the hotel, well fed and entertained in the process. Lovely staff that will do anything for and cabin was very comfortable. The only negative I could say was that it would have been great to have breakfast or meals on the top deck while the weather was so good.

The cruise was really good and well-organized. Special thanks goes to our great guide Tam, who did his very best to explain everything to us and make our experience as best as possible. We were with a baby and Tam even offerred to take care of him, so that we could participate in some activities (like kayaking). Also, the food was tasty and there was a plenty of it. A pinch of criticism: I had an overnight cruise years ago and we visited more places than on this cruise; the difference between 1-day and multi-day cruises used to be significant in terms of the itinerary. Now, I see that a 1-day cruise is quite similar to a 2-day one (just more meals and you sleep on boat, maybe one activity more). Everything was clear from the beginning and I saw that many other companies follow the same route, so it's not a complaint, but rather an observation.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious (one of us is a vegetarian, we were given many options, we really appreciated that!), activities were fine too (caves, boat ride, cooking class, …). The rooms were very nice, spacieuse and clean. Thanks to the staff who was amazing and super kind.

Being upgraded to 5 star was an incredible treat - we absolutely relished the onboard experience! Up close to the natural surroundings, helped us feel part of these marvelous natural wonders. Staff onboard were fabulous, food was delicious and there were just enough activities - a good balance of rest and enjoying the islands and caves. All the steps were not that strenuous. A wonderful end to our Vietnam experience.

Look, Ha Long Bay is beautiful and there are some fun things to do - but this is about the ship and it is wonderful. You are treated so well, the meals are amazing - and the entertainment after dinner was a highlight of our entire time in Vietnam.

The team was very nice and helpful. Especially the waitress in the restaurants they were all very cheerful. The food was delicious and we had a happy time there. The excursions were very interesting, I like kayak very much. At night we could have a very relaxing moment on the deck. Making spring roll, Listening to life music, drinking wine and watching sunset. We had a wonderful time in the cruise. Highly recommend.

A lovely experience on this boat. Very elegant and nice. The staff were super friendly. The food was excellent, which was unexpected on a boat. The rooms were spacious and had a balcony. The evening entertainment was good. The only negative is that Halong Bay has so many boats it’s very crowded on the water. I thing we expected it to be quieter but that’s fine.

We enjoyed a 2 day / 1 night cruise on Paradise Elegance. The ship is very well maintained. Our bedding was plush and we enjoyed the private balcony. The excursions are thoughtfully planned and timed with plenty of activities to fill our time. The food could not have been better. And, without a doubt, the staff is friendly, efficient, competent, and helpful. Ms. Belle managed the voyage flawlessly and Emmen is a superstar. Would not hesitate to recommend this trip.

This is a must !! Unique tours organised it as part of my tour ...I loved this boat and the cruise...could have stayed an extra night it was so good !! The views, the atmosphere the cabins were all top class

We did the 3 day 2 night cruise of Lan Ha Bay. This cost the equivalent of £260 GBP each. The experience amazing and service truly was 5 star. The staff could not do enough for you. As we had visited the bay before we chose not to do the first excursion. This meant we had the whole yacht to ourselves. It was incredible, the hot tub, cocktails and this time of year is brilliant for the weather. We were here in June and this was far more comfortable. The food was some of the most impressive we have tasted anywhere and we love food! All food preferences are also catered for. Lunch and breakfast is buffet but the evening meal each night is a set 5 course meal with two choices of main course. We went on a trip on day 2 to Vien Hai and Cat Ba Island. We chose the cycling option. It was 6 miles in total but other than two short but steep hills very flat. The other option was a golf buggy. We all went at the same pace. We saw how the village thrived, went to the edge of the jungle, heard about where bombs landed during the war and where people hid during this devastating time. Then we experienced a fish pedicure. Lots of opportunities to stop and get refreshments. On the return to the yacht via catamaran we called at three peaches beach to swim and Kayak. Beautiful. Plentiful food then served on the catamaran on the way back. On this trip you are never hungry!!! You pay for drinks, which aren’t extortionate. The wine as everywhere else in Vietnam is expensive but cocktails very reasonable. The staff were lovely. Wendy made us most welcome as cruise manager and really looked after us. Non English speaking staff tried hard to communicate and were most accommodating. Anthony who led the tour had been working on the yacht for 12 days and was brilliant! We really appreciated the information he gave us. Big Boi was also a stand out member of the team. Our travel agent told them it was our honeymoon so we received the full honeymoon experience. It was incredible. Despite this being our second trip to Ha Long Bay Area we would certainly come back. As the sunrise is impressive early mornings and long days with early starts are tiring so we would recommend pacing yourselves to get the most out of this incredible experience. Our booking was done through Compass Travel in Hanoi who also couldn’t do enough to accommodate what we wanted.
