      Magical moments on cruise
Our trip on the cruise was absolutely amazing! The breathtaking scenery and the brand-new, beautifully designed boat made it a perfect getaway. The chef prepare delicious vegetarian dishes just for us, and the restaurant manager was a true gem - so warm, and fun to chat with. It truly felt like a slice of paradise.

      A perfect private tour
We had a fantastic private tour with a whole boat just for our group of seven! The timing was excellent, allowing us to avoid the big crowds. The food was incredibly tasty, and our guide was both friendly and highly knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

      Exploring authentic village life
One off the best parts off the Pu Luong trip was experiencing the local culture. We visited small villages where the locals welcomed us warmly, and I got a glimpse into their daily life. The stilt houses, the water wheels, and the traditional meals added a special touch to the whole journey.

      Relaxing cruise
Cruising through the bay, surrounded by towering limestone islands and emerald waters, felt surreal. The boat was comfortable, and the views from the deck were stunning. Watching the sunset over the bay was a highlight, and I loved just unwinding and taking in the natural beauty all around.

      A refreshing getaway
From the moment we arrived, the scenery blew me away - terraced rice fields, lush forests, and rivers flowing through quiet villages. Hiking through the reserve, I felt completely connected to nature, surrounded by green mountains and fresh air. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

From the moment we left the city, the excitement built up as we drove through the beautiful side. The homestay experience was amazing.
One of the best parts of the Pu Luong adventure was staying at a homestay. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and the cozy home made me feel like I was part of the local community. The traditional food they served was delicious, too! I really like this place.

Our guide for the Old Quarter walking tour was Lyn. She was very punctual and had contacted us one day before the tour.
She was very informative and was kind to answer all our questions (which we asked quite a lot). She was very friendly and took us for a cup of coffee as well. Overall totally recommend her.

This tour is an amazing way to explore the streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter. Our tour guide Linh did an amazing job of showing us around. We were lucky enough to visit some main highlights as well as a hidden Cafe for Egg coffee as well as a hotspot ice cream shop. Linh is passionate guide.

This tour welcomed me to Hanoi as my first view of the city, and for that, I had a local student to escort me. The tour was far from my expectations, since she didn't know much about history and didn't have a tour guide approach. She was very helpful to buy some clothes since the temperature dropped drastically that day and pick up some tickets from a travel agency, but apart from that, it was a poor experience. The most important spot was a kind of museum that she said was not so important, and we could go ahead. It was a place with lots of pictures that explained how the Old Quarter grew and the architectural evolution of the houses in that area. Far the most important place to visit, with at least 1.5 hours. Before sending someone, ask people their age and expectations in order to choose the best knowledge guides for some historical-oriented travelers. Then everything will be more efficient.

Dear my friend, We believe you have confused our organization with another party and left an incorrect review. We are Hanoi Free Walking Tours, in our Old French Quarter tour itinerary, there are no museum attractions, and we always ensure that the tour guide has full knowledge of culture and history when leading the tour. We would be grateful if you would please update or remove your feedback on our TripAdvisor Page. My guide was Lyna, and she was very friendly. She showed me around the Old Quarter and French Quarter. We went into a few buildings (cultural centers, temple, etc…). During the tour, she also helped me to find a tailor as well as introduced me to a popular coffee brand to buy coffee as a souvenir for friends. Lyna kindly answered questions I had about Vietnam. Overall, I would highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants an introduction to Hanoi’s popular neighborhoods.

Highly recommend experience for anyone with a curiosity about Vietnamese culture and history. Our guide Vania was extremely knowledgeable, drawing connections between Vietnamese symbolism and language to that of related Asian cultures. Great experience, would recommend and it doesn't take too much time

Helen was a wonderful guide, full of enthusiasm and very knowledgeable about the history and traditions of Vietnam. She knew many interesting facts about the places we visited, including the Xuan Dong market, Heritage house, Ngoc Son temple, the St. Joseph's Cathedral and showed me some “hidden gems” in the Old Quarter.
She also shared many insights about current day Vietnam and the life of the local people and was very happy to answer all my questions. After the tour ( upon my request) she send me amazing food and coffee recommendation.

Overall, I am very happy with this great experience and would definitely recommend this tour and Helen as a guide to everyone visiting Hanoi!

Our tour guide, Truong Van Quoc aka Freddy, and his friend Phuoc was really knowledgeable and passionate about showing me and family around the Old Quarters and French Quarters. Both of them were really friendly and approachable. They even taught us how to cross the road the “Vietnamese way”. :)
We also tried the egg coffee at Cafe Dinh and the green rice ice cream at Kem Trang Tien. They were absolutely marvelous!
Freddy also gave us very useful tips on how to immerse in the local Hanoi culture and to take nice photos around Hanoi.
Overall, we really enjoyed our walking tour! I highly recommend this tour to all!

We did the Free Walking Old Quater Tour with Ashley, which we remember as a great experience. We were picked up at our accommodation on time and had an informative and great tour in the city of Hanoi. Afterwards we had time for a great talk in a typical local café, where all of our questions were answered and we got a few recommendations for restaurants and other points of interests. So we really can recommend the tour, also for supporting local students!
