Ha Thanh Travelmate in Vietnam doesn't have many good reviews - but I can only report that I was highly satisfied and highly recommend them! With Chung I had the best travel consultant at my side that I could have imagined. I had to organize a trip with VIP treatment for my boss in Vietnam and without him it would not have been possible. He was my communication bridge and always helped me immediately to organize transportation, speed boat, massage service, wine selection and everything worked out perfectly even though I organized it all with him from Europe. And at fair prices. I have read that there are a lot of scammers, especially in the “Cruiser in Ha Long Bay” product area. I also found several homepages (fake?) and was suddenly contacted by various “brokers” who wanted to unsettle me by claiming that no Chung was working for this company. But I had Chung provide me with all kinds of evidence, which he always delivered immediately, professionally and willingly, and he also responded to my questions and concerns so professionally that I finally decided to book with him instead of booking.com. and I haven't regretted it for a second. Great work! Many thanks to Chung and everyone involved.

Really enjoyed getting to know the old quarter of Hanoi through its variety of street food. And Lucky was such a great tour guid, taught us so much about Vietnamese food and culture! Would really recommend

We spent ages trying to decide what Halong Bay trip to do, and ended up booking through this company. Unfortunately about a week before, they advised our original cruise booked had to change. They did upgrade our transfer as a courtesy however on the route back they told us we would have to wait 50 minutes for our transfer. My partner and I decided to get a taxi instead as this is a long wait (it was cold and raining) and we also hadn’t had the best time on the boat anyways. They are now refusing to reimburse us for this transfer.

The overnight cruise was an amazing experience and best way to see Ha long bay. The entire crew on board were very helpful, friendly and lovely to talk to. Being vegetarians, we were paid special attention to and they catered delicious food just for us! Would highly recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to explore Ha long bay.

On our first night in Hanoi we took Lucky’s food tour. This was a brilliant introduction to the food and culture of northern Vietnam. In a small group of 6 we traversed the Old Quarter eating 8 delicious dishes! It was a great evening which I’d highly recommend, especially on arrival in this busy, vibrant city. Lucky had fantastic knowledge, top notch English and he showed us how to cope with the traffic too!

Such wonderful food ! Lucky was a fantastic guide and shared a lot about Vietnamese culture and Hanoi history. We had 8 courses, each at a different restaurant in Hanoi. It was amazing!

Great cruise, staff superb, cabin lovely, unfortunately weather was cold. As much as we really enjoyed the trip, and deliberated lots before selecting Erina, it looks like the majority are providing a similar experience. The only criticism would be it felt a little bit like a conveyor but of boats queuing and transfer from one lot of customers to the next. But overall we loved it.

We absolutely loved the Bai Tu Long Bay 2 day 1 night cruise and were blessed with wonderful weather, boat mates and amazing crew! Everything was so well organised including the communication from the UK to Vietnam via email when we booked, the clarification before we flew, the contact a few days before we were due on our cruise, contact via WhatsApp just prior to collection etc absolutely everything.

I am extremely satisfied with the customer service of Ha thanh travelmate. They are very very considerate of your last minute demands and are willing to go as far as one can imagine, even making exceptions to their own rules. I am from India and my last minute request of modification to an existing booking was made in no time. It must have caused them great inconvenience but they did it anyway. That’s great customer service for you guys. Extremely satisfied, looking forward to booking trip with them again.

We really enjoyed the food tour with Lucky. He was really friendly and took us to some great places and we tried many dishes we hadn’t heard of before. Would definitely recommend and a great way to see some of the city.

A great New Year’s day sampling a wide range of traditional Northern Viet cuisine. The tour consisted of 7 different locations spotted through the old town. It lasted 4 hours in the end and the pace was nice and the walks between venues nicely break up the food. We left on time, but maybe allow a little bit extra than 3 hrs as you are at the mercy of how busy each restaurant is at the time. I would go back to every place we tried, as we certainly went to some places that i wouldn’t have been bold enough to try on my own (and we all felt fine this morning!) Group was small, just us (a family of four) and an American couple. Lucky, our local guide, did a 5* job. His english was totally fluent, to the point we could have a real laugh and a joke with him (always important for us Aussies) So that makes a real difference…as you are after all sitting in restaurants for nearly 4 hours with your guide, so it pays to have a good one. It’s also a great opportunity to find out more about Vietnamese culture and get younger persons view on a whole range of topics from what it was like during COVID in vietnam to national military service. His candour was refreshing and made for a super interesting afternoon. He engaged everyone in the group including our children. So if you have a choice of guide…i’d ask for Lucky.

So Cal Vibes Meet Street Food Faves!So, me and the other half from Cali decided to let our taste buds loose in Hanoi with Lucky leading the charge. Let me tell ya, it was like catching up with a long-lost foodie friend.Lucky's street smarts (and street food smarts!) took us to places we'd never find on our own – from slurping pho to munching on some hidden gems. His laid-back style made the whole tour feel like we were kickin' it with a buddy rather than following a guide.And the stories! Lucky not only dished out the grub but served up tales about the local scene that made the whole experience richer than a Cali sunset. Big shoutout to Lucky – if you're in Hanoi and wanna eat like a local, do yourself a favor and hit up Lucky's tour. Good food, good vibes – what more could you ask for?

We really enjoyed our cruise in Ha Long Bay. It was a bit confusing that the travel agency sent us an email 2 days before our cruise with wording that suggested we didn't have a cruise booked at all so please contact the travel agency. This was clearly a translation problem, because when I messaged back, I was told the cruise was booked as I expected, but they needed our passports to complete our checkin process. Everything went very smoothly, especially the pickup and drop off from Hanoi. No complaints about this travel agent. I would use them again.
