What to Expect
Hoa Lu had been the imperial capital of many dynasties in history. Due to the natural location surrounded by mighty mountains and deep water, the citadel was considered to be the “Great Wall” of Vietnam.

In the morning, arrive in Hoa Lu and start exploring the ancient kingdom with thousand-year-old buildings. Visit the famous temples worshipping the kings of Dinh & Le Dynasties before proceeding to Tam Coc. Upon arrival, enjoy your lunch before embarking on a boat trip to witness the exquisiteness of the karst formations and caves. We will travel back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
*Lunch is included with this tour.

14 Vietnam and Cambodia Discovery Tour
We have recently returned from the 14 day Vietnam and Cambodia Discovery Tour and it was wonderful. Everything was so well organised and all of our tour guides were so knowledgeable and very obviously passionate about sharing really useful and interesting information about the areas we were visiting. We booked many optional tours and they were all fantastic and again everything was well organised and we felt very well looked after. The hotels were all good - our favourites were definitely the Coco River Resort in Hoi An and the Lotus Blanc Hotel in Siem Reap, just gorgeous! And the upgrade for the Halong Bay cruise was just amazing! Only one little bit of feedback would be that when we in Siem Reap it would have been helpful to have known that it was a holiday period and that most restaurants, shops, markets etc. would be closed once we got to Phnom Penh for the three days. We were unaware of this until the tour guide in Phnom Penh told us. Not a huge deal, but for those who still had some shopping etc. to do it was a little disappointing. But the tour guide was great and even arranged for some of the group to visit a shopping centre so they could purchase what they needed. This was not on our itinerary and we felt he went over and above to ensure everyone got what they needed. Our experience from the first booking enquiry until the end of our holiday was fabulous! With this company. Our only issue was with Vietnam airlines who changed planes after we booked and paid for exit row seats .... took a lot of emails back and forwards to get them to understand what they had done.... but not really a huge deal

Poor Quality Vacation
Did the 9 days tour of Vietnam and left a bad taste in our mouths: 1. The Worst Tour Guide - One tour guide in Saigon, named Boi, was bossy, rude and couldn't speak proper English. I really had a hard time understanding him and I might as well switch off, which I did. He selflessly asked for tips from the group when the other guides didn't. He was dodgy and pocketed unused tickets and rudely forced another person pay for a meal that they specifically said at the start that they will not have it. He rushed our Cu Chi Tunnel tour ! 2. Cheap - so compromised on quality and that's what we got so read the fine lines and ask lots of questions. Cheap fares mean you have a layover of 4 hrs flying Air Asia. Additional $500 for a direct flight. 3. Admin booked me a flight which meant I had to miss out on a tour. 4. Dumb Tour Plan - Taking people on a tour in the morning in a sticking hot forest and directly dropping them off at the airport to fly home, was terrible plan, not if you like travelling for 12 hrs in sweaty, stinking clothes. 5. They booked hotels that are in the outskirts of the main town/city which meant a lot of walking required ! 6. Overpriced optional tours which are not included so we went with other tours. I wouldn't recommend this tour group.

Great Trip
Just got back from 14 day Vietnam/Cambodia tour booked from Webjet Exclusives, it was great. AVG were very helpful when passed onto them. Flew from Sydney direct to Hanoi, which made a difference, some weren't so lucky. Met at airport by lovely Bang, 25 people in our group was not a problem which I thought it might be. Accomodation was very good, especially in Hoi An and Siem Reap, 1st class. All buses were comfortable and clean and cold water available on board anytime. All guides were great, special mention to Jay Jay (hilarious). Would definitely book with Webjet/AVG again

Worst tour ever!
We paid close to $3000 For a 14 day trip around Vietnam and Cambodia, day 1 was arriving at close to midnight, day 2 was traveling on a bus for around 5 hours, day 3 was a 6 hour bus ride and 6:30am starts everyday from there on. We had no time, literally no time to even stop at souvenir shops and but even a magnet or anything. We had 1 free day in Saigon which was amazing! From there it was go, go, go again. Siem Reap was another place we didn't get to see and we were all too tired to even see all the temples and places they tried to take us to. From Siem reap we had to catch a public bus for 6 hours, with a mild fan blowing as air con and absolutely every seat taken up so we were squished up, sharing sweat and uncomfortable the entire day. Still have Pnomh Phen to go but day 14 is classed as when we land back home at 8am. Good things about the trip are the transfers were easy to find, tour guides were great and the group on the tour got on like family. Will NEVER use these guys again!

Holiday and accommodation wonderful, but booking and communication appalling.
My review is based solely on the handling of our holiday and NOT the holiday itself. The holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia 2018, was a wonderful experience with fabulous accommodation, BUT getting there and the room set ups were a series of nightmares and blunders, which, if the Asia Vacation ladies handling my booking had communicated with each other, OR with me, could have been handled a lot better. To begin with, they changed my flights very last minute, which upset me profusely as they put our family of 4 on a different carrier- one which I WOULD NOT FLY WITH IN A 100 YEARS! So after many hours of phoning...which of course you cannot speak to the appropriate person as they have "finished", "left" , "not work today"....and what felt like 100 emails to the appropriate person...who replies maybe 2 days later....I got my point across that we would NOT be flying on the alternate carrier and they can find someone else to take us! My concerns with the alternate carrier were valid in my mind, as this carrier has fallen out of the sky twice! My point I argued, was they had booked us on he advertised carrier ( which we were happy with), I had my departure and arrival dates and times etc, why the change? I was told, "No seats!" .....yet they had my money 6 months earlier, and I have NO SEATS! I am happy to say they booked us on yet another carrier...."Cathay Pacific " and they were absolutely fabulous! As a family of 4,( 2 adults and 2 kids).....All with the same surname, we asked to have rooms close to each other in all the accommodation......and one would assume, that same name means they are family and travelling together, right??? Well couldn't be further from the truth! I did not ask for adjoining rooms, just rooms in the same hallway, and on the same floor, easy enough one would think!! There was so much problem with this request, I could not believe it! In the end, we had people in our tour group, swapping rooms with us so we could be near our children! The hotels for whatever reason had NEVER RECEIVED THAT REQUEST! And so each time we moved accommodation my stress levels went up again, knowing I would have to go through the whole room swap thing again and put someone out, yet again! Luckily, we had wonderful and supportive people on our trip, who all were happy to swap when we got to the locations so we could be on the same floor as our children! Honestly these little things end up tainting what should be a wonderful time! And lastly......the visas for Vietnam and Cambodia! The travel group offered to get these visas for us...at an OUTRAGEOUS cost! Luckily my cousin had just been to Vietnam and Cambodia , and when I asked her how much she paid, it was a third of the charge by doing it online! The travel company charge 100's and 100's of dollars above the real costs for those visas. DO NOT get them through the travel people, do it online, it's not hard, just time consuming but you'll save a fortune! Honestly I probably wouldn't book through Asia Vacation again, because I don't like the extra stress, I want it to be a problem free experience, and listening to some of my group, they also had many headaches......but theirs is another story all together!!

Grand Tour Vietnam
Well organised and informative trip. Local guides were all welcoming and helpful. Vietnam is an eye-opener and a trip we are glad we undertook. Hotels were located outside of main areas, a deluxe version would have been a useful option providing better locations. The train trip to from Nha Trang was long and slow, is there an alternative way to travel (still not sure what the food was they served?). All in all great trip.

Golden bridge tour.
This was one of the many highlights throughout our tour, we were picked up from our hotel in the morning by bus which took us on a scenic trip for an hour up the mountain. Once we alighted from the bus our guide quickly had our group organised and lined up for the cable car to the top of the mountain with fantastic views as far as the eye can see. The bridge was amazing with the golden glimmer against the hands it was totally awesome.

All-in-One Air and Sea Experience
Our two-way seaplane tour to and from Halong Bay, topped off with a one-night stay on the Emperor Cruise, was one of our most memorable experiences. Everyone, from the co-pilots, to the experiences manager and the chef on board the cruise, saw it as their pleasure to offer us an unforgettable journey. We were treated to unparalleled views from the air, meals fit for royalty, and an exhilarating adventure on our kayaking trip on Halong Bay.

14 day tour of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
Had an amazing time touring around these beautiful places. From the start all the guides were fantastic, very informative and easy to communicate with. Accommodation was excellent with high level of service and great staff. Change over between each city was very easy and I would have no drama's in recommending it to anyone who is looking for a couple of weeks holidays with a stress free holiday.

Golden Bridge Experience
Hoi An - Ba Na Mountain. A fantastic ride in the cable car, 1414 Metres above sea level, up the mountain with stunning views over the forests . Walked around from the Marseille Station to the 9 different flower gardens, viewing the Linh Ung Pagoda and 27 metre high Shakyamuni Statue. Walked on the Golden bridge which was opened in June 2018. Had another short cable car ride to the French unique architectural site full of beautiful buildings, eateries and costumed people on stilts. .Lots of lovely photo opportunities.

Ingenuity of the tunnel system
Interesting to see but was horrified by the in-ground man traps. How anybody can conceive such inhuman treatment is beyond my understanding.
