The experience was generally positive. I was fortunate to visit before the typhoon arrived. The view was stunning, and the lunch menu was quite good. The cruise itself was enjoyable, although you might incur additional costs based on the activities you select. I opted for the speedy boat, which was fun but brief. Additionally, be prepared to tip, as guides often share sob stories about poverty in Vietnam to encourage it.

Many have stated that this tour is very „touristy“ and yes, of course it is, as is everything in the Halong Bay! If you want to escape typical tourism spots in this area, I guess you‘d have to book a private boat tour without any stops… So, yes, this cruise is packed with tourists and stops at „the typical spots“ where you will also meet many other tourists from all the other boats. BUT. This cruise was very well organised, everything was right on time, the food was good and the tour guides were friendly and helpful. For the stops you should be generally fit, since you have to walk 120 steps to the cave and then about 2km through it in very humid temperatures. At the second stop you can choose between kayaking on your own or being rowed by a local in a bamboo boat. This was our highlight (we chose the kayak), it was so beautiful! At the third stop you can either go swimming at a small beach or hike up about 400 steps to a viewpoint. We went for the hike, which was pretty exhausting but the views at the top were so worth it! You then go back to the harbour during sunset, which is beautiful! All in all, we really enjoyed the cruise and would recommend it! Be aware that this is a very touristic activity and the stops might feel a bit rushed due to the limited amount of time for a half day cruise. You‘ll get back to the harbour totally exhausted but very happy and full of new wonderful memories! :) Also, if you‘re scared of getting seasick, don‘t worry, the water is very calm and the boat ride was totally smooth, not at all rocky! You almost don‘t feel anything.

Amazing private boat , spectacular views of Halong Bay. Our family of 11, 6 adults and 5 children ,6,7,10,10,11, had such a great time. Our guide Tim Tam is so fun to be with, great with the kids too.

We went for the halong bay tour with Ken , and had a blast ! The cruise was lovely , Ken helped us figure out what to do at each stop and made sure we were comfortable . Kayaking was extremely fun, beautiful bay that we didn't want to leave . Titop island was very cute too , swimming there was probably the best part of the cruise .

the guide, ken was very helpful. we kayaked, went to the beach and went to caves. it was a well planned tour that works well for families as they plan everything for you.

The cruise was amazing ! The staff was lovely and we did so many things : kayaking, visiting a cave, swimming at the beach ! I definitely recommend ! Especially with Ken, he was very listening and kind !
