Fun times in Ta Van village
Su was an amazing tour guide and she was very friendly with us. When we needed help she would help us along the way and she was very patient with us. When people came to us wanting us to buy things, she will kindly tell the people that we are not interested in buying and she was very respectful to everyone. Su is also very knowledgeable and teaches us local customs.

      Trekking among the village.
Sú was our tour guide, she was extremely helpful throughout the trek and knowledgeable about the village and their daily life, as she is a inhibitant of the village. Beware of the people who follow who are not from your group as they will try to sell you items. Also, wear appropriate clothing and covered trekking shoes as it can get muddy. Overall, it was a very positive experience with beautiful scenary.

Su is the best Guide for this Tour
While our Guide 'Su' was excellent - Easy to understand, very informative and knowledgeable, giving us so much information about each Village we visited and the history of SAPA, our hotel room at the View Hotel was very average..on entry to our Room it had a very musty smell, the toilet wouldnt flush and the wash basin leaked through the basin waste on to the floor when we turned the tap on..Perhaps a little spruce repair to freshen up would be ideal..but putting this aside the Staff were very friendly and welcoming. One big concern was our trip home in heavy rain. The driver was careless, overtaking buses and trucks with very little visibility and putting all passengers lives on our bus at risk making our 5 1/2 hr trip a nightmare...not cool..

Two days and one night tour to the edge of Vietnam
A fantastic experience, well worth the 6 hour one way drive time. The guides and driver were on time, professional, knowledgeable and fun. The best part was, that the locations are still a bit off the beaten track. You are leaving the comforts of your hotel and city. The drive is long and windy but definitely worth it. Go and take a look before the rest of the world wants to see these places. The two days and one night option suited us perfectly.

Amazing view of the rice fields
Very nice two days, our guide Vu took us on two walks. One from sapa to the village we stayed in, crossing two other villages and with an amazing view on the rice fields. The second one was going to a bamboo forest and we went to see a waterfall.

      Exploring further in Vietnam.
It was a pleasure to visit areas with less people and commercialisation. The natural sites are just beautiful, and very special. Our Guide Duc, and driver Cuan (?), did a fantastic job. Duc was enthusiastic and helpful, and a pleasure to interact with. These special locations will remain a treasured memory of this part of our visit to beautiful Vietnam.

We had a great time. Dustin was a wonderful tour guide and we had such a lovely time going up north. We loved the cave and waterfall and the Angels Eye Mountain was one of the coolest things we've seen

This tour was pretty good. The hotel and the home stay were very nice. The family at the home stay was really the highlight of the trip. We played games and sang karaoke with them and they were just very fun. The food was very good and everything went pretty smooth. We really enjoyed the views on this tour and we met some really amazing people in the group.
We were a little bit underwhelmed with the knowledge of the tour guide. Although she was very nice she didn’t really explain much about Sa Pa and the villages. She just kind of showed us the way without many explanations. Also we just felt like the tour itself wasn’t worth the amount we paid for it. The second day (which was supposed to be the longest day of walking and exploring) our tour guide dropped us off for lunch at 1:00 and just told us to hangout for the rest of the day as she went home. This was pretty disappointing as we felt like we paid for a whole day of exploring.
I probably wouldn’t recommend this tour not because we didn’t have fun but because I felt like we could’ve just walked around Sa Pa on our own and paid a much cheaper price.
Overall, we had a good time but the tour wasn’t really anything special and I probably wouldn’t recommend.

If you have the time, it's better to organize a trip yourself. I paid for a tour because I wanted to save myself some headache but it's not worth it. We were given basically the same meal over and over again at each place and constantly harassed to buy things.
Paid extra for the luxury van which was really nice. The wifi did stop working half way through the trip and the driver was extremely grumpy/unfriendly. We were picked up on time and dropped off per itinerary but we never had the option to check into our hotel. We ate lunch, went on the most busiest, touristy trek to Cat Cat. This is not really a trek or hike but more like walking about the SaPa town to Cat Cat town on roads. The views were great but tarnished by all the chaos. Most of the hiking was downhill and the road was closed due to construction so it was more chaos to get to Cat Cat, fighting other tourists, scooters, off road bikes to cross a narrow 2ft strip right next to giant machines (that were operating). I'm open to being flexible but this was not ideal.
Because the road was closed we were booked two taxis (before and after the construction) to take us to our hotel. The hotel room smelled of mold and right next to the construction site which started up again at 6.30am. We then did our 11km trek which was nice but would've preferred to do this at my own pace as the hike was easy to find. There was a couple in our group with a 3 month old and 3 yr old so I didn't mind waiting for them but I did mind the three ladies that tagged along with our guide with the sole purposes of guilt tripping you into buying something at the end of the trek. We had to wait a long time for lunch where we were constantly harassed to buy trinkets and then lunch was the same food we were served for lunch and dinner the previous day.
A homestay is more like a cheap hostel and not at all a way to get to know the locals and how they live. The cooking class was rolling spring rolls, not even making the inside or cooking it. just rolling it. This isn't really something to learn. We had to ask for a different meal bc the same thing was going to be served for dinner. Overall, this is not the beautiful serene hiking trip I had hoped for.

This tour was OK - but we cant recommend to go 3 days 2 nights. 1 night is more than enough!! To sum it up: the trekking was nice, but short, our guide Zu was amazing, the home stay was super disappointing.

We arrived in the afternoon in Sapa and met our guide Zu, who was the most wonderful guide we could have asked for. After we dropped our bags at the hotel we went to CatCat village, this was definitely not a very exciting experience, it’s just a long downhill market, people trying to sell you stuff and there were way to many tourists! After a night at a fine hotel, we went on a nice hike to the home stay in Ta Van. The hike only took about 3 hours, which meant that we were already finished at 12:30. After this there was no planned programme and we were left on our own. The host of the home stay, Cham, told us to be around at 16:30 for a cooking class, but nothing ever happened and we just had to wait around for over an hour until one of the other family members asked us to fold some spring rolls. To top it off, we were put in a cabin up the hill, next to constructions workers and with no light, which was quite dangerous when we had to go to bed and it was dark out and the construction workers literally woke us op at 5:30. I wouldn’t go on a long trip with these organisers, but maybe 1 night 2 days is better, as the programme is a bit more compressed.

We were lucky with the weather, mostly sunny and dry paths.
The views were amazing with all the rice fields and hilly terrain.

The hotel in Sapa was great.

The Homestay was a little underwhelming, as we expected to stay over at a real village family, but it turned out to just be a hotel/hostel type lodging.

The organization from the guides was amazing, always on time and the trips took exactly as long as they planned.

The hike was a little disappointing, as I expected to get some resistance up the hills. But it was very easy and mostly straight forward, only difficulties was the narrow paths and some muddy areas that were slippery. As stated above we were lucky with the weather, but bring hiking boots, preferably high ones.

The trip to CatCat village was really nice though there were shops at every corner wanting to sell you some souvenir. If you are able to look past that you can see some of the culture of the people living there. The trip ended with a show and some traditional dancing that you can take part in.

There are alot of women trying to sell you stuff all the time, and it will become very annoying. They are very persistent.

    Pro tip!
Dont walk around outside the center of the villages at night alone, there are no street light at it gets dark very quickly. There are dogs at every house that will chase and bite you. Speak from experience.

Enjoyed the home stay. There is a time to explore surrounding by yourself. The Sapa and the Cat Cat village was also nice experience, but it wasn't my cup of coffe. My guide Thi Su was helpful and always explaied us the itinerary, so there was no stress. They also taking care of our luggage so you don't have to take lot of thinks to hikes. The trekking routes are mostly muddy so you should consider the shoes. They can borrow you a rubber boots, but the sizing ends at 44eu.

We booked this private tour as a small group of 3 people. We enjoyed it very much. All was well prepared. After a bus journey to Sa Pa we got picked up by the tour operator, had lunch and got introduced to our local tour guide Vu. She took us to all trips and hikes for the following days, explained to us the local culture and answered all our questions.
While our luggage was always taken care of and brought to the hotel and for the following day to the home stay bungalow.
Even though the weather was a bit cloudy, we had a good time and enjoyed the beautiful landscape and view. The hikes are definitely for people who are good on foot. Due to the weather the paths were sometimes slippery and muddy, we could go in our own pace and felt always safe, also thanks to Vu who took great care of us.
Other local women follow you and help you if needed, however be aware that at the end they are happily offering their bracelets, bags etc. to sell. Remember to bargain.
Overall we liked the tour very much and the peace and quiet - it’s a different vibe than Hanoi. ;)
Both night stays were nice accommodations.

Amazing tour, very well organized, easy pick ups and lovely locals. Our tour guide Kat was always cheerful and happy to answer any questions we had. The three days went from overcast to blue skies which was incredibly lucky and allowed us to see the beauty of the area. Thank you!

I had a very easy and wonderful experience with Vietnam travel top..organised only 24 hours ahead of time, Thomas was incredibly helpful and ensured a smooth trip with connections and guides for the whole trip. His communication was excellent - he was incredibly responsive and able to organise a last minute change. The Trek itself was fantastic - the homestay was very comfortable and clean with great food. Lovely guides and very nice hotel in sapa. Would definitely recommend this company.

Amazing tour! The views were breathtaking and the tour guides knowledgable and welcoming. We saw a variety of different things, including a show with dancing and flut playing.

We met some people who only did the 2 day/1 night tour and they all wished they stayed longer. I am really happy I stayed longer becaue we got to see more and were not rushed. So if you have the time, I would highly recommend spending more time here.
