Unforgettable well organised trekking and kayaking adventure in far North Vietnam!

This was an exceptional tour from start to finish. We did a customised itinerary of this package, extending it a further 3 days to include more adventure (full day treks and kayaking). Jack as the liaison was extremely responsive and checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was OK.

Our guide Mr. Giang was very thoughtful, accommodating and patient with us. He was very experienced, and stayed with us throughout our long treks (even kayaking with us for around 13km). Best of all was his carefree adventurous spirit, joining us when we had little investigative detours, and describing all the fascinating plants, vegetables and herbs we encountered along the way. Nam our assigned driver was a very responsible and safe driver too. He constantly kept his van clean and well maintained and it unexpectedly came with free wifi on the road as well!

The accommodations are either new or well kept and decent, the food excellent. Views of the Dong Van valleys and highlands was breathtaking. Ban Gioc falls was gorgeous (especially without the China tourist crowd at the moment). The caves was beautiful, and kayaking on Ba Be was scenic and fun.

I highly recommend Conical Travel if you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure in far north Vietnam!

Great service, breathtaking scenery, beautiful people and culture

I had a awesome trip and would highly recommend Conical. Jack was very professional and flexible throughout the booking process. He also helped us in getting a great hotel in Hanoi and airport transportation. Our guide, Mr Le, was incredibly fun and caring. Mr Hung, our friendly driver drove safely on the winding roads. The itinerary was packed with amazing countryside scenery, activities and seeing/meeting the people. For those who like more hiking activity, you might want to extend a day or two in Ha Giang and Dong Van. Note that the tour brings you to a different town everyday, there is less chance to wash and dry your clothes. Besides, pack sun screen, insect repellent(Picaridin worked well). A light bedsheet and towel if you have luggage room. To conclude, I'm impressed with the quality of the trip. Northern Vietnam is immensely beautiful and no worries about COVid, it is very safe.

The Majestic North

Jack was excellent at sorting things out. The whole adventure was absolutely faultless. Ton our driver was steadfast in difficult conditions and Doan our guide was just incredible - keen, knowledgeable, very switched on and capable of amazing improvisation when the weather closed in and we needed to change plans. The homestays and food were exceptional. And the countryside - just go!
Really recommend out of season to, you have the whole place pretty much to yourselves...

Great north adventure

I have been living and working in Southern Vietnam for 10 years and I love this country very much. On our first time to visit the North, we decided to travel to Ha Giang, Ban Gioc Waterfall, and Ba Be Lake. We chose Conical Travel according to one of our friends who did the trip with them.

The six-day trip amazed and impressed us with the beauty of the natural landscape in the moutainous areas. Each of the destinations we visited has its own mesmerizing features and we had chance to interact with the local people. Our kids had great lessons about how the people in these regions survive without the modernization.

In short, the trip was very very very excellent. We love Vietnam so much, from the bottom of our hearts!

Excellent holiday in Northern Vietnam

Perfect time with Conical Travel on our holiday to Vietnam in Jan 2019. Windy from the office was so caring and recommended us the trip according to our request. And that was definitely all what we want.

We loved everything in this trip, from the landscape to local experiences and the services. Dong Van Geopark, Ban Gioc Waterfall and Ba Be Lake were the highlights of the trip and all were unexplored with very few tourists. Our guide Ivan was so wonderful as well who helped us a lot and explained us everything about the places we visited.

We can't wait to come back to Vietnam again after the Covid time!

What a fantastic 6 days adventure in Northern Vietnam with Conical Travel. It was very special to witness and experience such a diversity of ethnic minorities still living a traditional lifestyle and take in the stunning scenery along the way. We can’t speak highly enough of our driver Minh and guide Jack who got us through amazing challenges on our mountainous trip and gave us unforgettable experiences. They are good at telling joke that made us laugh all the way as well.

Well organised landtour to Northern Vietnam in Ha Giang.

It was well organised tour to explore the northern Vietnam in Ha Giang.
Our guide Mr.Le was a fun loving person and he was taking care of our small group of 3 paxs throughout the trip. We were enjoying the tour with plenty of spectacular nature scenery in the mountain area. The homestay in local tribe village was an unique experiences that not to be missed.
Highly recommended to get Conical tour book your hotel in Hanoi as they were offered us a good hotel rate.

Untouched and Amazing Experiences

We visited Sapa last trip to Vietnam and loved the Northwest of Vietnam. This time in Vietnam we were looking for ability to see off path sites, go deeper into mountains, and experience local ethnic cultures, away from tourist locations. These locations were untouched and beautiful. This trip was more than expected! We saw such beautiful sites and met local village people who were kind and welcoming. Minh and his team were wonderful at managing details, communicating, and driving through local terrain. You can count on professional guidance and having fun in authentically charming villages and stops!

Wonderful northern Vietnam tour off the beaten track 6 days

We had an unforgettable trip to unexplored Northern Vietnam with Conical Travel! Our guide Jack was one of the most knowledgeable and thoughtful guides we have ever had. He was so well-spoken in English and well-versed in history, local tradition and cultures, and even flora & fauna. We were taken on the less traveled paths, and saw very few other tourists for the most part. With a favor of weather, we had wonderful time hiking through the jungles, mountains and local villages of Hmong and Dao ethnic people.

Highly recommend the trip and the Conical Travel team to any nature and adventure fan!

Awe-inspring!!

I am an English teacher who have been living and teaching English in Vietnam for 4 years. I with some of my friends decided to take a trip to discover the mountainous areas in Northern Vietnam a few weeks ago. We came across Conical Travel and chosethe trip with a lot of perfect reviews.

The trip turned out to be our best time in this year and we really had chance to explored to best of the North with the help of our guide Jack. The local experience, the unspoilt landscape of Ha Giang, Ban Gioc Falls and Ba Be Lake took our breath away. Local food was also nice as well. We cant appreciate more for this wonderful tour.
