    An amazing independent tour
What an amazing trip! From start to finish Mr Mahn coordinated our 20 day tour around Vietnam and Cambodia. He responded immediately to any queries we had. We arrived into Hanoi airport and our driver was ready to collect us for the first of our 7 hotel stays. Every pick up was on time with drivers who could speak enough English for us to converse. We were booked onto many tours but also had free days built in for rest and relaxation. Often we were collected by private car with a driver and guide. All our guides were very knowledgeable and showed us around the main sites, giving us an insight into Vietnamese and Cambodian culture and everyday life. For some tours we were picked up by mini bus but in small groups of 6-12. Full day tours also provided lunch and we ate in some really unique places and got to try many local dishes in authentic settings. We stayed mostly in 3 star hotels but all had a local flavour, were clean, comfortable and had the most amazing staff. 5 out our 7 hotels even had a pool which was very welcome after a day's sightseeing in 43° heatwave. An unforgettable experience from start to finish and never herded around in big groups on big buses. Just what we wanted. Thank you!

Stress free and seamless, won't disappoint
Our first experience of Vietnam, travelling from the South to North over Two weeks booked through the Adventure people, proved to be the most amazing stress free holiday we have ever been on. We can't praise the organisation enough of Vietnam tours and Manh especially who went above and beyond to assist us. Manh kept us informed and kept in touch before in the UK and whilst in Vietnam, ensuring everything was organised. The taxi transfers and tours happened like clockwork. We had one issue with one of our hotels and we were moved without hassle including our luggage, we were amazed at how professional and understanding they were. You definitely get a Platinum service from this company. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. Vietnam and there people are both beautiful and charming and won't fail to disappoint. Thank you so much !

Cover Vietnam at a reasonable pace and price
If you are considering travelling in Vietnam, I cannot recommend Vietnam Real Tour strongly enough to do it justice: it is simply the best option you will find if you don't have a limitless amount of money but want to discover as much as possible as conveniently as possible and at a reasonable price. Mr Mahn can tailor a tour exactly to your specifications. A friend and I selected a 15 day tour that took us to the most beautiful and significant historical, religious and cultural places jn Vietnam from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay, to Tam Coc to Hoi An and to Ho Chi Minh city. We only had 21 days, so we took a couple of days on arrival to fight jetlag and then 4 days after for a separate tour in Phú Quóc. Had we had more time, we could have asked Mr Mahn to add additional days in the Highlands and Sapa and Dalat but that will have to wait for the next journey there. The reality is that his selection of hotels, guides, restaurants, transportation companies and points of interest was superb. It made for an efficient transfer from one place to another and allowed for a lot of discovery. The tour includes free days when you can choose what you want to visit at your own pace. That free time is helpful not to feel rushed from one place to another day after day nonstop, which would make it less enjoyable and memorable. All personnel at hotels, guide and transport companies (taxi, boat or van) were polite, sensitive to your needs and interests and helpful. Finally, there was value for money. I fully recommend Mr Mahn's Vietnam Real Tour agency in Hanoi.

Very organised, all the experiences with zero stress!
We booked the 18 day tour of Vietnam and Cambodia for our family of 4 (36, 36, 9 & 5). It was jammed packed with boat trips, local culture and food, temples, pagodas, with rest days spread throughout. The highlight for our family was Ninh Binh, and our tour in Phnom Penh to the killing fields and the prison, our whole whānau where effected by the information and stories shared. Beat things about Vietnam Real Tour? Our guide coordinator Manh. He was on to it every step of the way and helped us with any issues the arose. All transport and airport transfers are organised!! With a young family this takes so much stress out of things If we were to do it again we would select the 4 or 5 star option as we didn’t have a pool in Saigon. We would also look carefully at the itinerary as the 4 night in Cambodia had 2 very long bus travel days and we would’ve preferred to pay extra to fly with kids. However, we would definitely use Vietnam real tour again as everything was organised and paid for and help was available 24/7. Thank you Manh for your work in making our family adventure so special and STRESS FREE!!! There are too many pictures to share but wow what an amazing 18 days! Kara 😊

Mr Manh ensured that our holiday was very special
Mr Manh made our holiday one to remember. From the time that I first contacted him to design us a 16 day itinerary going north to South, catering for our family of five including teens aged 13, 14, 16 I felt that I was in safe hands. Mr Manh couldn't have been more thoughtful, responsive, communicative and caring. We had some wonderful experiences and it was relaxing knowing that he had organised everything that we wanted and was so quick to respond to any queries - whether our changes in itinerary or helping us to communicate. He honestly was a fabulous find and I can't sing his praises enough!

A fantastic holiday through vietnam and Cambodia
What can we say ?….we have had the most amazing trip! Our tour was coordinated by Manh ,who communicated brilliantly ,both before, and during our time on the tour ! We toured north to south, starting in Hanoi, where we were met at the airport. We had a fantastic time in Hanoi Ha, Long Bay ,ninh binh,Hue, Hoi An , Ho Chi Minh . everything worked like clockwork tour guides were organised and on time hotels were pleasant and well chosen and not exorbitantly expensive the itinerary was interesting and packed. We left Vietnam and flew to Phnom Penh for a day and a half learning more about the Khmer Rouge and Cambodian history before flying onto Siem reap and its fantastic culture and history. We cannot thank Manh enough for the fantastic trip which far exceeded expectations we would highly recommend this company!!

    Great Tour Operator
We booked a 17 day tour of Vietnam. The payment was made to a company called Tour Radar (Although the actual tour itself was booked and managed by Vietnam Real Tours) The service provided by Manh @ Vietnam Real Tour was excellent. All the itineraries would be reconfirmed on a daily basis and everything was carefully arranged. He would frequently check in with us to ensure everything was going ok and to make sure we did not need any help with anything. When we did have an issue on an overnight train (unable to proceed due to flooding in Hue). Manh sent a 4WD taxi to pull us off the train and take us to the hotel by road – amazing service. I would not hesitate to recommend them

Stellar!! Highly recommended! ,& Cheap Price:)
Not much I can say that I didn't like about this tour we started off the day with them picking us up right on time at our hotel very convenient. They actually came inside and had our names. Bus was top of the line comfortable, air conditioned not too cold tour guide was very informative. They gave us an opportunity to get souvenirs rest stops for restrooms drinks, snacks, and they were very forward on exactly what to expect at each portion of the excursion. The only takeaway would be clarity on where we're meeting after we are dispersed during the certain stages of the excursion. Boat ride was too extensive in time and the mountain climb was too little time. Between the two if they were to be balanced out this excursion would be completely, totally, and utterly amazing. Make sure you bring enough vnd dollars with you ATM rates are 4% and you must be where of the pushy salesman that take your pictures. Make sure to haggle their price. Mind you they are not a part of the tour they are just local sellers.

Real Vietnam tour 15 days- Great trip, extend your time if you can
This was a busy tour involving the main highlights of Vietnam in as much as that’s possible in 2 weeks. The communication before and during was faultless and our contact, Mr Manh was amazing and answered any queries in super speed time. The guides on the day trips were very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Hanoi and Halong bay were real highlights for us. In October you’re more likely to be scuppered by rain and floods, we were so lucky as a few days after we left Hoi An it flooded and a few days after Halong bay, cruises were cancelled and I would have been gutted to miss these. This isn’t anything to do with the organisation of our trip but if you’re a backpacker, you might want to take longer if at all possible. You do get free days but there is so much to see that you’re out and about on these days, so it’s not a restful holiday if done in 2 weeks. An obvious point to make but as a seasoned backpacker, I need a bit less city and more off the beaten track and I realise I really enjoy navigating around myself. That said, I’m still glad we did the trip and would book again with this company, everyone very friendly and hotels very good and don’t think you would see as much in 2 weeks if you did it yourself. Thanks to all

Halong Bay with Vietnam Real Tour
Halong Bay is another wonder of the world. This is a must tour if you’re in Hanoi. We booked a 15 days cruise from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi with a few stops in between through Vietnam Real Tour and Mr Manh took care of everything so brilliantly even our last minute upgrade to 4 star accommodation throughout the tour. This made our holiday so much more enjoyable as we feel everything is thoroughly arranged .

    Exploring the best of Vietnam
Trekking in Sapa with Mama Zhu Zhu was probably the highlight of our 3 week holiday. She was a superb guide and the scenery was stunning. Manh from The Vietnam Real Tour was super helpful in arranging our trip and was constantly in touch via What’s App to ensure everything was going according to plan. He organised all our taxis and trains throughout our trip and everything went smoothly ensuring that we maximised our free time to explore Vietnam. Manh was super helpful on advising us about the level of tipping. I would thoroughly recommend him to book tours throughout Vietnam

Family 14 day Vietnam South to North
14 day South to North Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi via Hoi An, Hue, Halong bay. We arrived in Ho Chi Minh on day one and were met by the taxi driver, taken straight to our hotel. This set the tone for the trip, all pre arranged transports arrived as planned. This was titled as independent Vietnam and as such the pre-booked excursions were with different people each day, a sort of mix and match arrangement. It was a full on two weeks with enough trips included. We travelled with our grown up children and we all had a great time. The night train from Hue to Hanoi is an experience, a bit long and I can see the attraction of flying, but you really need to do it to get the full emersive experience! A couple of minor issues arose, only as expected but I mention this as a positive part. Anything that needed to be adjusted or dealt with was done efficiently and extremely attentively by Manh from Vietnam Real Tour. I can't praise him highly enough. From pre tour to the end he was always available to answer and deal with our needs and questions. In fact, when we arrived in Hanoi he was waiting at our hotel to meet us in person! Overall, a great full on holiday. Thank you Manh.

    A warm local experience
This is really a local and authentic experience. Mamazuzu's family is really warm and welcoming. They were really busy but still ensure that I am well taken care of. I was fetched by mamazuzu's daughter, Cat and she is really friendly and willing to share her knowledge abt her culture. Though it has been pouring heavily the two days that I have been there, which made the hike challenging but it was all fun. Would really recommend this tour to those who love culture and experiences.

We had an amazing two day trip here , we arrived at around 12:30 to Sapa , had lunch (50 K dong equivalent included in price) and then set off for a 3.5hr hike to our home stay so be mentally prepared for this ! Our home stay was lovely and we had a beautiful dinner . The following morning we had breakfast at around 8am and then set off hiking for another few hours before landing back in Sapa for lunch and our bus home . Would recommend for a break from busy travelling days and cities , for fresh air , exercise and peaceful two days 😊

Mama Zuzu’s home stay is the way to go when going to Sapa. It was an authentic, genuine and fun experience. Her and her family seem to really enjoy doing this and are so sweet. The home is simple but comfortable. There are separate rooms for each of the travelers (I had a tour group of 3 people). Mama Zuzu is a great cook and makes sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. This was one of my favorite travel experiences I’ve ever had! It was exactly as advertised and better than expected (even with high expectations)!

I booked this trip as a solo traveler and I was expecting that I would be in a small group, and although initially I was picked up by a big bus to Sapa with lots of other tourists later I was greeted by my homestay host / guide, Mama Zuzu, and it was a solo experience afterwards: just me and the hosting family. I really didn't mind because Mama Zuzu made me feel very welcome and comfortable. You get to see the beautiful landscapes and witness the simple lives of the families in the village where they have to work very hard for things we take for granted.

Some of the highlights were the amazing home-cooked dinner and the breakfast pancakes! Also, by the end Mama Zuzu's husband took me to the bus stop in Sapa on a motorcycle which was my first time riding a motorcycle and on top of that in such beautiful scenery!! Easily one of the best / fun experiences of my life!!

Also you can tell how the family has gone the extra mile by building some simple but nice and private accommodations and western style toilet/bathroom for the guests, which were very clean by the way! Very much appreciated!

Beware that some parts of the trek felt quite extreme/slippery, so I do recommend decent hiking shoes at least.

When coming back the bus was 1.5 hours late but not a big deal for me, the trip was definitely worth all the little inconveniences and hiccups. :D

The trip began with a pick up and drop off like within 200m to transfer to the sleeper bus. Thou the disappointment came that it was not the same type of sleeper bus I have requested for. For whatever misunderstanding or assumption it's the same make of sleeper bus service I opting for, the authentic sleeper bus experience ( probably the lowest end of the local sleeper buses) was quite an experience thou.

But the highlight of the trip was actualy the home stay I had. I had the daughter of Mama Zuzu to fetch up at the Sa Pa bus station, and a local lunch in town before the journey of 3-hour walk/ trek along paved and ‘nature’ pathway along the mountain to admire the sceneries. However it was cloudy and we couldn't really much far ahead.
The trek as may seemed easy for the tribe, but as urban city dwellers, if you have mobility & heart/ back health issues, it may not be the challenge you want to go thru’. Fortunately they have option to take their village transport to almost reach their footstep 95% up or down the journey. Make sure u state your condition or they will also assess and advise prior the walk, which is very considerate in service.

The highlight of the stay was the local sumptuous dinner prepared by the host, assisted by her hubby, son & daughter. It was well spread with meat and vegetable and solved my worry that I thought I will be hungry later part of the night.

The host prepared fire for us to get warm at temperature of 9-11 deg. And one of the most happening beverage we had was ‘ Happy Water’. The group had fun and laughter from different part of Europe and plus me, 3 of us fr Singapore. The Happy water is certainly Mama Zuzu ‘s hubby secret weapon to make us merry during the dinner.

The next day trekking was scenic but again cloudy so didn't have opportunity to see the other side of the mountain.
The host provided rubber shoes but good for trekking but on concrete ground, its best is to have your shoes along.

I must said it is one of my best experience in home stay as Mama zuzu demonstrated her hard work, sincerity, care taking to us during the stay. This is the place to be in Sapa if you wish to explore the authenicness and real home stay experience in SaPa.

Thank you Mama Zuzu and your family!

Dear Mr Tan Thank you so much for your lovely review of Sapa trip with Mama Zuzu and her family. My team and I were very happy to see how was your trip ran fro the pick-up time in Hanoi to your times in Sapa. I really appreciated all the information you mentioned. It helps us very, very much to improve our services. Thanks to your photos and lovely words, we understood that you have met many nice people, tasting the real local foods at Mama Zuzu's house, also the nice landscape. I would send Mama Zuzu your warm and kind words about her and her family. I am sure that they, look like us now, will be very happy to hear it. It was little afraid of the weather on your travel date. Actually, the weather in Sapa changes quite often in the Winter from Oct to Mar, and it was cloudy, foggy sometime without our control in advance. However, we still see that you have enjoyed the trip so much. It makes us much more confident to advise our customers in the future, also improve our service better and better. We were so joyful to have you in our Sapa trip. We do hope to have more chance to welcome and serve you on our other day tour in Vietnam in the near future. We all wish you always healthy, lucky and happy. Best wishes! Manh & Vietnam Real Tour team!

Mama Zuzu and her family are very welcoming and treat you with great hospitality. The sights you see on the trekking tours are incredible and as a guide Mama Zuzu is very informative of local culture and the surroundings whilst you trek. The food is all home grown from the family farm and cooked very well and you get an authentic experience of sharing the meal with the family. If you are looking for an authentic experience and are interested in learning more about the local Mong people then I couldn’t recommend this more.

Our tour with Mama Zuzu was amazing! After going from Hanoi to Sapa by bus we were picked up by her daughter, had lunch together and then trekked through the fields to the village. It was so beautiful because we passed several villages and were able to see how the people live there. When we arrived to the village Mama Zuzu served us amazing dinner. The house is in a remote area but it has everything - even hot water is available. The next day she took us on a trekking tour through the rice fields and to another (more touristic) village. We had lunch there and then we went back. If you're thinking of going to Sapa I really recommend you to book this tour - it's much more "authentic" and less touristic. We had such a great time!

i went solo but another group of travellers also booked the tour at the same time, so i wasnt alone :-)

mama zuzu was suuuuper accommodating for someone as unfit as i am, when she realized we were gasping for too much air 10 minutes into the hike, she suggested an alternative, but still with the best experience.

her home cooked food and dinner with the family in her home at the village was super yummy.

Dear Isabela Thank you so much for sharing your experience of yoru Sapa trip on here. It was great to see your enjoyment of Sapa tour with Mama Zuzu and her family. You will be a member of her family, and will never feel that we are alone. I hope that you have known how to cook some local dishes and try it at home. We would forward your lovely sentiment to Mama Zuzu. Her family and she was so happy to hearing that. I hope to have more chance to welcome your family, friend and you on our other tour and bring more and more brilliant memories in Vietnam. Wish you all the best! Best wishes! We enjoyed the opportunity to stay with a home stay that has more of a country living ambiance. From the moment we got off the bus in Sa Pa, Kat was a great guide as we walked 2 hours to the house (because of our 10-year old daughter, we took a taxi half the way because it was too hot & humid to hike the full 5km). The rest of the guests hiked the full way. Our luggage was bought up via motorbike.

The house is typical country and very clean. You have all you need there; new toilet, hot water for shower, plug ins with converters, WiFi and warm blankets.

We had a fabulous group dinner all made from scratch and then Mama Little entertained us with rounds of Happy Water!!

The hike out the next morning was lovely passing by the rice fields, it took 2-2.5 hours to hike down and we had lunch by the waterfall. Bring bug spray as some trails are nature trails and beware the trails can be muddy & slippery.

The owner was very attentive, professional and the whole family is kind. Families don’t normally sign up for this homestay as the accommodations are rural like and there is a lot of hiking but for the right type of family, it’s an adventure. Wonderful stay, great people.

Definately an experience unlike any other! Physically challenging, breathtaking at times, real local living and ALOT of fast hiking. At times too fast to take in the views!
Went in early October, very cold at night. Accomodation was very basic outdoor shed/hut with double bed with mosquito net, but comfortable. Shower facilities had hot water but a sheet for the door..think it was recently built and wasn't finished.
Had electricity in the rooms, even plug socket! Not for you though if you enjoy even a touch of luxurious living! Bus ride there was not enjoyable for 5 hours even though it was a sleeper bus..it was dirty and compared to other sleeper buses, definately was on the lower end of the scale. All in all, enjoyed the trip and glad we went but don't think I would recommend or go back. Small waterfall on the next mornings hike was a pleasant suprise though!

Dear Samantha Thank you so much for sharing your experience about Sapa trip on here. We were very happy to see that you have enjoyed Sapa trip with " Physically challenging, breathtaking at times, real local living". Beside, still have something that makes you not really enjoyable so much, such as: bus journey. I am completely agreed with you. As you see, Vietnam is a developing country, and the service was sometimes not really touched the need of every tourist. I do hope that we will improve from the transport, roads... and bring you the much better services soon in the near future. I were so glad when you could experience the real local life, family, dishes of local H'Mong people with Mama Zuzu. Perhaps tourist will not able to get the real experience if travel with tourist homestay. Once again, thank you very much for your comment here. I do hope that you will have more and more great memories in Vietnam. Have a nice day! Best wishes! Manh & Vietnam Real Tour team! WhatsApp: +84 976 242 887

We just left Vietnam after 7 days and without a doubt, this was THE number 1 highlight of our stay. Yes, Halong bay and Ninh Binh are nice, but the wilderness and authenticity of Sapa are on a whole other level. Specifically for this tour, which brings you OUTSIDE of the beaten path, on empty hiking trails for hours. The homestay is fantastic as well, very very rudimentary, just the way you want it for a truly genuine experience. Mama Zuzu and Mama Little are absolute gems, we were so sad to have to leave them. I cant recommend enough going on this tour. Just make sure you pack proper hiking gear, these hikes a serious stuff.
