- ljsunshine6300Amazing Hoa Lu Trang An Mua CaveOur tour guide Nguyen Van Hien was knowledgable attentive and considerate of our needs. They definitely took care of us and we enjoyed this relaxing day of sightseeing. Thank you Nguyen and Tam Coc Travel
- NieceL380_00Great Experience!Wonderful experience! The tour guide was helpful and professional. The view was spectacular. The hike was not for the faint of hearts, but great for the experience.
- KarolK43800One day trip to Ninh Binh!Everything was on time. Caves of Hua Lu in Ninh Binh as well as Mua Caves was amasing. During visiting caves we can also climb to so called Dragon mointain (Hill) - view was great. Interesting for children - thay like a trip.
- digitalroc00Hoa Lu / Tam Coc / Mua Cave Day TripI chose the Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave Day Trip with Tam Coc Travel booked through my hotel. The tour guide was easy going and quite funny at times. The bus was upgraded, had comfortable seats and it wasn’t full which is always nice. The tour guide followed the set itinerary, all attractions were good, with the 90-minute row boat in Tam Coc as the highlight, money well spent. The only thing I didn’t like was the first six drop-offs were directly in front of travelers hotels, while I was dropped off two blocks from mine. I should have given him the tip on the bus, instead of outside, maybe would have been dropped off closer.
- halfgreen00Tam Toc boat ride and Floating marketThe boat ride was gorgeous but the high pressure to buy snacks at the so called floating market was a bummer😚
- ourdreamsincolour00Wonderful quick visit squeezing in the highlights! If you are staying in Hanoi and aren't planning to do a longer stay in Ninh Binh, this is a great trip for seeing the main sights of the area. The staff were professional and gave us lots of great information about the places we were seeing. The boat ride through caves and limestone cliffs was amazing, once in a lifetime stuff. We were able to take our three young children easily with us. We didn't do the cycling and we were allowed to head up and start lunch early instead.
- TravelDanceHappiness00Ninh Binh: Nature & History Day TourNot only was the tour guide, Thang, very helpful in providing lectures about the history of the area we were visiting but he also had a great sense of humor so we were entertained throughout the trip. Our tour guide constantly kept all of us updated regarding the schedule to ensure that we were on time but did not make us feel rushed at all. He was very considerate in making sure he got everyone together before leaving. The only thing that we were disappointed was the tour vehicle option that was advertised. We paid extra for the luxury bus option but somehow we were assigned to a smaller size mini-van which did not look very luxurious at all. Overall, we were satisfied with his service and definitely enjoyed our experience in Ninh Binh. I would recommend this travel tour company for those who want to learn and have fun about Vietnamese culture.
- KathyW116000Awesome trip with kind guidethe tour guide Frankie Duy Sang is best ever. We are 3 of us from Singapore and French, deaf. He typed every details to me in English (his Eng is excellent as he took english major in university) before I translated in sign lang to french friends after he explained to the tourists first. They picked us up from our hotel and visited Hoa Lu, rode on boat with beautiful view, 20 min cycling and Mua Cave. At the end, they dropped us back at hotel.
- Clare S00Great Day OutHad a fantastic day on this trip. Amazing views and we'll worth a visit. Excellent guide and driver - very comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend.
- Michael T00Relaxing boat trip on riverThe USP of this trip is that the rower rows with their feet and not their hands. I think the trip lasts just over an hour. The views from the boat are pretty rather than spectacular; views on Trang An trip are better. However, Tam Coc seems less commercialised. Some reviewers have talked of pressure to buy souvenirs but I did not find this. However, rower does expect a tip. I would do Trang An rather than this one.
- ter_tng00Day Tour in Ning BinhStrongly recommend the day tour as it includes visit to 3 most popular attractions within a day. The itinerary was well planned. The close to 2 hours boat ride is a must do. Mua Cave climbing is liberating. Bus seats are comfortable with good Air Con. Tour guide - Mr Kevin is extremely sincere, caring and informative. His superior service attitude adds much joy and comfort to the tour.
- MsPurohith00Ninh Binh visit from HanoiThis tour covers the three beautiful places in Ninh Binh province. The schedule was on point and covered all the places before other tourist buses or crowd could arrive which gave us an edge to really enjoy the places of visit. The cycling tour through the rice fields was enjoyable. As the food prefernce was inquired at the start of the trip, I being a vegetarian found many options during the lunch and the food was good too. The tour guide ensured to explain the history and other details very well.
- Xd123400Excellent Ninh Binh ExperienceVery good one day Ninh Binh experience! We explored the old capital, followed by a boat tour and a hike at the end.
- Jackie S00Excellent tour with a great guide!I booked this tour through GetyourGuide, and wasn't entirely sure what to expect but had a great time. From the early start, our guide, John Snow was very personable and helpful, telling us lots of interesting information and keeping us entertained en route. We were lucky enough to be ahead of other tours on the same route for a lot of the time so we enjoyed some of the areas without many other tourists. We visited the old capital, had a short bike ride, a large buffet lunch, a boat tour (don't give in to the pushiness of the boat-people to give them bigger tips/buy random produce from them at the turn round point) and then a tough but enjoyable climb up the steps of Mua Cave. Definitely recommend if you have some spare time to do a day trip from Hanoi, but not enough time to do Ninh Binh yourself
- Abhigyan M00Great dayWould recommend everyone visiting Hanoi to visit Tam Coc. The boat trip is simply mesmerizing in my opinion. Tam Coc travels does a good job overall- their luxury buses are great, guides are fun and cheerful and will tell you about the history and culture of Ninh Binh area as well as Vietnam overall for first time visitors. They were also extremely accommodative in modifying our schedule at the last moment ( based on feedback we really wanted to do tam coc instead of trang An). Tam Coc is a basic 1.5 hr boat ride on the serpentine river with hills and fields surrounding you. The Muah cave is about a 20 min uphill walk with great views of Ninh Binh.

It was a really nice trip to Ninh Binh! The day was very well planned - not boring at all - good for young and active people.
There were some sporty activities like cycling and walking up the 500 stairs but there were also some relaxing moments like enjoying the Trang An landscape while sitting in the boat or having tea or coffee in the afternoon.
I was very impressed by the tour bus. It was very comfortable and luxury - the best one I've ever been in Vietnam
The Tour guide: Huong was very friendly and explained the historic background and specialties of each spots. The tour company provided us some small gifts like water bottles and the Vietnamese hat - Non La.
For lunch we had a buffet - was good - many different kinds of food that we could choose.
All in all I would recommend this tour company :)

Tour Route : Trang An - Hoa Lu - Mua Cave
Tour Type : Private Type
Group : 6 pax
I really can't any negative thing about this tour, they have exceeded our expectations!
We enjoyed this route of our Ninh Binh tour.
The old city of Hoa Lu is relatively small but feels historic.
Trang An... oh we love Trang An! You can choose 2 boating tracks, the first is going through 8 caves, and the other one is going through 4 caves with 2 temples and Kong movie set. We choose the second one and we LOVE IT!
We climbed the 500 steps in Hang Mua (Mua Cave), there's a dragon statue on top of the mountain and the scenery is so beautiful.
About the tour provider:
1. They arrived 15 minutes early to our doorstep and patiently waiting. The car is clean and comfortable, aircon was cold.
2. The tour guide, Dat, we're very kind and attentive; he gave clear briefing, allowed us to rearrange our itinerary, and very knowledgeable on every place we visited.
3. The lunch had lots of options, fish, chicken, beef, and goat.. taste just were okay.
4. They gave us free vietnamese traditional hats!
5. We notice that the tour guide has license tag and the car also, we felt confident that they must be complied with the regulations (legal tour operator).
One to note was just the water provided, upon booking they mentioned to give 2 bottles of 0.5litre per pax, but we received 2 bottles of 0.35litre. Not a big deal though, we purchased some on our way.
All in all, I recommend you this tour operator!

Good place to stop by. Good place to hike and see surrounding area.
Very nice top view to the Tam Coc Paddy field river.
One thing to take note. there is a proper free parking space at the main entrance.
Do not stop at those parking before the main entrance.

Our guide was really good. The schedule was good and it didn't feel rushed. The boat trip on Tang An was definitely the highlight. The climb up Tam Coc is not easy, especially in the heat of the summer. The coach was comfortable. I think a bonus point is if they could provide cold water in the bus ( in those styrofoam ice boxes) during summer as the heat is really torturous for the time spent in the hot sun. Lunch was bland.

Bus is spacious and comfortable for a 2 hour trip. Our tour guide Tam gave sufficient explanation of the temple. Buffet lunch is very average, u get quantity over quality. The highlights of this tour is the mua cave and the river ride.

The bus is very comfortable. The guide took care of us to make sure there was no discomfort. Originally I was going to Trang An, but it was so crowded that I went to Tam Coc. The scenery of Tam Coc was good, but I was in a bad mood because of the heavy touting. Tam Coc was better than Trang An because it was shorter. It was enough time to enjoy the scenery.
Dui(our guide)! Thank you. it was very fun.
For reference, both boat trips and Hoa Lu are scheduled after lunch. In the morning, we stopped by the Temple. So I have to climb on a hot afternoon.

Action-packed day, seeing and experiencing so much.
Pick-up, 2 1/2 hours to get there (bus was very comfortable), went to a small temple, had some lunch buffet, went boating with a local rower to see the sites of Trang An (also, the sites of the movie Kong: Skull Island), short bike riding, and finally hiking up 500 steps to see the sunset view.
The small temple was just okay and the lunch wasn't great but the boat ride was the absolute highlight for me. A two hour jaunt around the natural scenery and caves made my day. I wished the bike ride was longer and the temple climb was tough but the view at the top was fantastic. It is quite the effort to climb all the stairs but well worth it up top.
Tour guide was friendly and met some fantastic people on my group as well.

This was a very lovely day trip from Hanoi. Our tour guide was very kind and entertaining. He was in training but did an excellent job.
The bus was comfortable and the driver was safe.
We enjoyed the boat ride the most however the 500 steps to the top of the viewpoint was another highlight.
The views and scenery are amazing - you won’t want to miss this.
For the cost, it was definitely worth it. The only negative was the lunch which was just okay.

Yes, it is possible.
Are you traveling from Hanoi to Ninh Binh?
How do they know where they will be picking you up? We did not book our hotel for the night before yet. Any suggestions?
