- tinabG3829LT00Great way to visit Ninh BinhGood tour. Sonny was knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. The temple and caves were both amazing.
- jmrisd4300GUIDE LOI - THE BESTWe are a couple from the 🇵🇭, a day before this trip we were in Ha Long Bay, (the tour wasn’t with this tour agency) and that made us a little bit of uncomfortable since the Tour Guide wasn’t helpful at all - he kept on shouting and his ways were visible that be is irritated for every-time a tourist asks him. Ninh Binh Tour was way way different - Loi was really helpful, he was relaxed, he was chilling and he let us feel the vibe of being in a tour. No extra comments, no extra words - just he reminding us of what to expect, and enjoying the whole day. We didn’t expected it to be this way actually, we thought that Ninh Binh is just the same with our Ha Long Bay - but luckily - there was a BIG difference. Starting from the driver, the tour guide - his persona, and ways were AMAZING. He made us feel comfortable, and asks in a polite manner. His photography skills were just an add on tho, hehe thanks Sir Loi for guiding us throughout the tour.
- amandasK4277CU00Loi is the bestWe went one the day tour of Ninh Binh with MUA cave , Trang a boat , cycle and pagoda. Our tour guide Loi was AMAZING! Was so informative and happy to help with any queries. Would highly recommend
- karthik m00Fansipan Hike.We are a group 5 from Singapore, Philippines and Sabah. We booked 2D1N Fansipan Hike thru Klook and Wati Travel handle most of the land coordinating as local operators. Hats off to Kathy Vu for extreme professionalism in ensuring we get what is required. The mountain guides are amazing, lead by Sing and 2 other boys are very helpful and yet they speak English( at least can communicate 😉). Will definitely recommend them.
- raktagram00Great but….Great experience, Tour guide Loi has a fantastic personality. Enjoyed my tour. Just my boatman was asking for extra tip which was unexpected.
- nicpouliot00Left disappointed from A to Z.Did the Halong Bay day tour, worst idea I've had while I was in Vietnam. My least enjoyable day since I've been here. Sure Halong Bay is beautiful, but this tour is horrible. The seats in the bus were horrible, I was squeezed onto someone the whole ride there and back. There were way too many boats going at the same time. They should've a quota or something it'd make the experience much more enjoyable. Every single tour has the same stops, which doesn't really help the situation. Most of the time was spent in the cave, which was cool but not what I mainly wanted to see. The island where we could swim was absolutely packed barely any place on the beach, all the swimming area was full. The food on the boat was cold, most of the seafood was tasteless and rubbery. My guide, I couldn't understand a word he said most of the time. To end it, on the way back we weren't on time, 3/4 was sleeping and they decide to take a 30 minutee break at a truck stop when we only had 1 more hour to go. This is so idiotic and just wastes the remaining of the night for me, I had plans for dinner. I was told I'd be back at 8:30 pm at the latest. The way this is going I'll be at my hotel by 10 pm. I don't recommend this tour to anyone and wish I hadn't done it, what a waste of a day in my opinion.
- kubii202200Not worth the moneyTo summarize my experience it went from bad to okay. I did a 3 day 2 night tour with this company for 165$ through my hotel. Once we reached Sapa the first day was full of problems. The tour guide was lazy and at dinner I was served a portion for maybe two people when there was 4 of us at one table. When we asked for more we were told “there is no more food”. When I voiced my concerns a tour official (guy who makes sure everything is organized) came to my room and during our conversation told me $165 for a tour is not expensive like I had described it but he gets it because I’m a student 😮. All around rude and dismissive. I decided to finish the tour. The next two days and 1 night were better. We were given a better guide. However, water is not provided on the trip, which given how much we spend that is disappointing. Also the food is so simple and obviously cheap I really fail to understand why the tour cost how much it does. Overall I would shop around for better options.
- acV973RV00Very good tour bad driverVery helpful staff and amazing tours available. Unfortunately we had two issues, one was the driver was driving very recklessly and the second one was the hotel that was chosen by the tour did not have hot water.
- Culture5108261922400Over rated...market is huge. although there's a guide, she was chatting with driver all the time. Waste time! Not worth the jour6hrs from Sapa...tiring journey and not worth the effort... don't need to go. Guide was chatting with driver, nit explaining what things are. Food at restaurant was OK only... sad to see them sell dogs there..

When booking this tour I was under the impression that the Bai Dinh Pagoda had some cultural significance. However to my disgust I discovered it has been built and opened in 2015 by a wealthy Vietnamese individual purely for the commercial dollar, it has never been a functioning religious complex. There are electric cars which again are paid separately are owned by this same entrepreneur [he owns the self built palace you seen on the way to this sham] This same individual also controls the boats at Trang An. This are is certainly a spectacular area but be aware you are in a very small boat for two hours. You are asked to complete a questionnaire regarding the tour 3/4's of the way through which includes a question about the rowers asking for a tip [up to that point they haven't], however just before you dock they hit you up for a tip. This tip was going to be forthcoming however it all felt like a well oiled commercial machine. The lunch was quite generous as you dine with your group and a hundred others, what I would call a 'cafeteria'.

Overall tour was great value for money
Scenery especially around the caves and surrounding hills was nothing short of magnificent.
The guy rowing us around had no English but this didn’t matter as he was great fun anyway
Interacted with some Korean gents on the water and enjoyed the water leg of the tour enormously. Our tour guide ( Aaron) must have been having a bad day and was quite rude on several occasions. Walked off at one stage whilst I was talking to him shaking his head.
Surprising given how friendly the locals had been during the stay. As we got off the bus at the cathedral he refused to show me where we were on the map of Hanoi so very disappointing end to what should have been a great day
Still good value for money and would still recommend the tour. Other reviews rave about the guides so I’m guessing we just had a little bad luck.

Our Guide 'Tom Cruise' and the driver 'Michael Schumacher' were great.
Our hotel recommended this tour and am sure you will like it.
The rowers are great and wont harass you like I've heard they do elsewhere.
The highlight was definitely rowing through the Trang An caves. You almost felt like you were looking for King Kong! The only con is the odd hut things they have setup on 'King Kong Island'.

This was an amazing trip! It was really well planned and our guide Xiec was excellent. He was informative, knowledgeable, friendly and knew when to let the guests relax and get a few minutes of sleep!
The trip itself was excellent, and after pick-up from my hotel we drove for 2 hours and reached Vietnam's largest Pagoda at Bai Dinh. The site is huge and you have to walk up hundreds of steps (luckily, there are covered walkways) to reach the main statues of the Buddha. The whole site was really interesting and you don't feel the climb up the steps as it is done in many stages, with places to stop along the way. After the Pagoda we drove for just 5 mins to reach our lunch stop. The restaurant is huge and caters for many, many tour buses and the food was varied and actually quite good. After lunch you drive for another 5 mins to reach Trang An and the starting point of the boat tour along the inland waterways. You are seated with a max of 4 in each boat with a local woman rowing the boat for the whole trip. The route takes around 2 hours and the scenery is amazing and unique and you can understand why the recent Hollywood blockbuster "Kong: Skull Island" was entirely filmed in the area. There is also a small part of the original film set left behind for the tourists and it makes an interesting trip and photo opportunities. Be aware that you visit a number of caves, a couple of which have very, very low ceilings. These are so low that you cannot sit on the bench and have to sit on the bottom of the row boat. I was with a couple who were both on the "large" side and they really struggled to sit on the floor of the boat and in such a tight space. You realise just how expertly the local women row the boats through the really low and narrow passages of the caves and they never hit the walls or other boats! There are a few stops on this trip so wear comfortable shoes with good grip as you have to get on and off the boats a few times.
Overall, the trip was excellent value, with a variety of different activities and with an excellent guide.

Long from Wati Travel was our guide for our 21 May trip. He is very likable and looks after everyone in the group (including our driver) quietly and efficiently.
He shares insightful things about our trip, like the two sects of Buddhism, one influenced over land in 2nd century and the other over sea in 6th (or was it 4th? Oops, my bad listening skills) century. Temple in Vietnam is for Taoism, Confucianism, local diety, hero worship & the people. Pagoda is for Buddhism.
Ask for Long from Waki Travel to learn the many other nuggets of insights he shared with our group throughout the rest of our day! And leave a tip :-)
Separately, I paid a little less booking this trip through KKDay (although I had to pay extra for the electric car). I'm not sure if KKDay bookings all end up with Wati Travel, but this review is to recommend Long as a good guide, and to say this is an affordable and very enjoyable trip :-)
PS. Long got our group to be first for the buffet lunch so we got first picks of the spread, which was awesome

We booked this company through our hotel, our tour guide was the ever enthusiastic Kimi.
The tour company bus was comfortable and the stops were as you would expect. Lunch was a buffet which had a lot of choice (standard Asian affair). The information that Kimi provided was informative and entertaining. It was a tiring day but well worth the day out.

We were recommended wati travels by our hotel and they turned out to be really good. Kimi, our guide was super friendly and kept all members of the tour group entertained, informed and comfortable. The trip itself was excellent...everything from the timely pick up from our hotel to the food to the great experience at trang an and the pagoda.

This was one of the best trips we have done in Vietnam.
Trang An is effectively Halong Bay but inland. You will take a 2 hour row-boat trip through meandering canals and caves that make up the area. It is beautiful, peaceful, green and just lovely. You will regret it if you dont spend some time here. My only observation is that the boat seat is hard and the stop on Kong Island was very welcome.
Bai Dinh is an impressive complex and our guide did well to explain the history and features of this site - FYI it is 2000 dong for the toilets (and they are persistent).
Over all a really memorable trip and one I would recommend.

Whilst the whole day was great the boat ride around Trang An was truely fantastic. Our guide Sonny was very attentive. The lunch buffet meal had lots of choice but was ok and only reason didn’t get full 5 stars.

Fortunately, when we went to Bai Dinh and Trang An it was sunny and we enjoyed the tour. Should it rain, it may be for short time and what's good about the rain, it will mitigate the hot feeling.
