Anh was most helpful, not merely taking us from one food outlet to another in the old city, but commenting upon the history of Hanoi, the remnants of French architecture and the working lives of the population - he was also a good example of how to cross the city streets when motorcycles seem to come from every direction!

This was an excellent tour in every respect. I was doing a S-E Asia cruise by myself. When I saw that the ship would be docked for two nights in Halong Bay, I wanted to see Hanoi, but the ship did not offer a one- day excursion in/ out of Hanoi that appealed to me. I had some ideas of what I wanted to see but no idea of where in Hanoi those sites were, how to get to them, or the amount of time it would all take. My travel agent found Anh ( Cao Thien) , an independent Tour Guide / Operator in Hanoi, to provide me with what I was looking for and I could not have been more satisfied. Anh connected directly with me by email to ascertain what I wanted to see and planned our route and schedule accordingly, to customize and maximize my experience in the time available. He picked me up right at the ship and ensured that I returned to it well in time for sailing, without any stress. He took me to see everything that I wanted to see and more! In addition, he managed to work in two wonderful Vietnamese meals at local establishments that I would never have found on my own, all in an efficient but relaxed and friendly ambiance that made me feel totally comfortable. Excellent Custom tour! Ahn was a fantastic guide, after I contacted him via email, we discussed a couple of different options for a full two days and finalised the itinerary. On the days themselves we then adapted the order depending on the weather and other extenuating factors. He did this effortlessly and with our best interests at heart. Ahn is a polite and professional guide that has excellent English language skills. He answers questions thoroughly and correctly and now we have toured Cambodia and Vietnam more thoroughly, we truly appreciate these skills!( Hanoi was our first stop) We would thoroughly recommend Ahn to any party looking to explore Hanoi and its surrounding areas. Great explanations and interesting tour to see how incense were made. Beautiful picture to be taken at the yard and no rush at all. Great way to end the tour before heading to the airport as this is less than 3 hrs in total.

Mr. Hoang was our guide for the half-day tour. He was a super lovely guy who was very knowledgeable about all things in Hanoi. Brought us around in a car to various temples and to the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, where we managed to just arrive in time before the queue was closed. Great tour if you’re in town for a short time. Super friendly too, so no hesitation in recommending.

We had Ahn as our tour guide for a city tour (and later for a food tour) of Hanoi. He was fantastic. He’s friendly, very knowledgeable about the history of the city (and Vietnam as a whole), and was very patient as we asked questions. We'd highly recommend him for any visit!

We took a full-day Hanoi city tour with Anh and had the most wonderful day! Anh is a very nice person and is so knowledgeable about the city and the history of Vietnam. He took us to some key historical sites and also showed us some local neighborhoods so we could learn about the local culture. We learned so much! In addition, before we even arrived in Hanoi he provided us with guidance about obtaining visas and hiring shuttles. We cannot say enough nice things about Anh, and we highly recommend his services to anyone traveling to Hanoi. He is the best!

Did a private one day tour with Anh on 5 Dec 2022. We visited the temples at Hao Lu, climbed the Lying Dragon Mountain and went to Tam Coc town for a Vietnamese lunch. Anh (who has 2 Degrees!) was knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about Vietnamese history and culture. The trip was well- planned by Anh, communication was prompt and excellent. Transportation was safe and clean. We truly enjoyed the trip very much. Can't recommend enough!

It was indeed a great experience visiting Hanoi and Anh and his team did a great job in arranging the tour including meals with good selection. Although I was little hesitant to take the risk to just book him by just reading reviews in the beginning but there was no regrets as he was helpful even to decide on the itinerary.

We had an amazing time with Anh he had great communication skills. He was prompt. He has a passion for Vietnam. He gave us several options to choose from. He hired an excellent (safe) driver to escort us. We had such a great day doing this tour. Not only do I recommend doing this day tour, I recommend Anh as the guide. He takes his job seriously. This is a great tour of Halong Bay. Four hours on the cruise is perfect to take in the sights. Our tour guide showed us many of the different islands and took us to a fascinating cave.

Very professional company. Mr. Anh, the owner, provided us an excellent guide. Mr. Nam was 25 yrs old, well educated, fluent in English with a great sense of humor. He was not only patient but very knowledgeable about the areas where we went. All the trips were very well organized. The driver was very careful and polite, and the private tour bus for 3 people was comfortable and spacious. Due to time constraint this time, we opted on a 3 day tour - 1st day Hanoi City, 2nd day Halong Bay and 3rd day was Perfume Pagoda. All was well planned out by TOUR GUIDE HANOI and all trips were smooth and without any hiccups. We will definitely hire this company again for private trip to Sapa, Hoi An, and Saigon (Ho Chi Minh city). We highly recommend this company.

Four men, ages 63-73, did the Hanoi full day tour, Mua Cave/Tam Coc, Perfume Pagoda day trip and the Halong day cruise (four full day trips). I looked at several guide options before settling on Anh Cao and we finished our tours thinking that somehow we found the Best Guide in Hanoi. Anh left no stone unturned in his preparations and I suspect this is from many years of practice! He speaks excellent English, the van and driver he selected were perfect, and while we covered a lot of ground in four days we never felt hurried or rushed. Anh has a great sense of humor which made him a fun person to be with.

Speaks English very well, very knowledgeable, on time on all occasions, is a great guide and I have been all over the world. I give him an AAAAAAA+ rating.

Fabulous tour. Anh met me at my hotel and transported me around Hanoi taking in all the slights possible in half a day. His knowledge was immense and his friendly manner made the tour interesting and fun. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Anh.
