For solo travelers experienced in independent traveling I do not recommend any of the Sapa trips as it is better arranged there at the spot, it takes some time to arrange transportation but other than that, it gives you much more freedom and flexibility to do your own things at your own pace. Food arrangements at the homestays were rather simple and not very traditional/local but rather instant food.
Local guides are always helpful and agency was happy to be flexible to change some of my itineraries for which I am super grateful! General lack of communication along the route between the guides and the travelers was a common thing thiugh. You never know where exactly you go and under which circumstances.
Homestay made effort to entertain in the evening however food and coffee /drinks were just very basic. Nearby homestays offered much better choice of food and coffee.

Dear Zarko,
Thank you so much for your feedback and please accept our sincere apology for your experience.
On behalf of Crossing Vietnam Tour, we would like to acknowledge your sharings to improve our services. It's great to know that you can see our efforts with our guide who was enthusiastic to take you to explore Sapa area. And appreciate our good gesture when offering free van to Fansipan when you want to change your itinerary on the travel date.
Regarding to your feedbacks, we would like to share with you that homestay in Sapa mountainous area is with local ethnic minority people. This tour is designed for people who want to experience the local lifestyle and it's the typical point of the tour. So the food would be local style, not as in modern hotel or city. Hope that you understand the situation and sympathize with the area feature.
Hope you will visit Vietnam again and give us another chance to experience with you.
Best regards,
Crossing Vietnam Tour

Amazing tour. Jenny was an amazing co-ordinator and helped me from start to finish, answering any and all questions that came up. If you're looking for a way to explore northern Vietnam and you've only got a week to work with, there's no better way to do it than this tour! The tours of Hanoi, Sapa, and Halong Bay were all unique experiences that I'll never forget!

We had a brilliant experience trekking around the scenic Sa Pa valley area diving into villages, staying at an isolated, but stunning home stay while being guided by the incredible Zua. She was our leader for all three days of the trek and she was knowledgeable, patient and just awesome. If you’re lucky enough to have her taking you around this very picturesque area, you will have a terrific experience.

It was a great pleasure traveling to Sapa! Our homestay in the local village was fantastic. We ate with the local people and our guide came directly from the community.
The train ride was also something else! The breakfast, dinner and supper was included for both days. Many thanks to Jenny for organizing the trip and Chai our fantastic guide.

We found this trip amazing. Lala the tour guide was amazing, the homestay was very clean with great food. The village we stayed in was super cute.
Jenny who works for the company was incredible helpful in helping us to extend our stay when we decided we weren’t ready to leave.
One thing to note this is a hard trek especially in the heat (we did it end of April) but you can end the tour early and get a motorbike taxi if you want.
Everyone was helpful, friendly, and kind.

A great way to experience Sapa with a lovey guide - Chau- and a good 2 day trek. It’s definitely not a walk in the park- it had just rained when we were there and we really needed help clambering around the mountain on trails and were covered in mud afterwards. Bring sturdy shoes that can get dirty!
Also the train ride was great- I felt like a small kid again, and even though my rest wasn’t exactly a solid 7 hours sleep it was really enjoyable and a fun experience. Plus, no need for hotel.
Once you arrive in Sapa, the hotel you stay at has a chance to purchase anything else you need - from shoes to raincoats (I needed a rain jacket) but you aren’t checking into a private room for a couple hours to refresh- you are re-packing your suitcase in the lobby and showering right off the lobby. However, it’s everything you need as long as you come prepared.
The homestay was more of a small hostel, but again was all we needed - private rooms, shower, filling food, welcoming hosts, small village.
The customer service for the whole trip was great- I worked with Jenny to arrange and she was extremely helpful every step of the way- from helping me plan logistics of airport arrival to arranging for somebody from the hotel to bring my phone charger to me at the train station after I left it. Amazing.
Thanks for a wonderful trip - I highly recommend and would do it again!

Me and my hubby decided to create a memorable moment to mark the new year. Since he is scheduled to meet his customers during the first week of January in Hanoi, we decided to come over earlier and spend the new year here. We booked a tour for a 3 days medium trekking trip to Sapa Hill. From the on set of making a reservation until even after our trip, we felt so well taken care of! Ms Jenny from Crossing Vietnam Tour contacted us after we made the reservation, gave us detail info about the trip, Meeting point for pick-up. A reminder was also sent the day before the trip. Even after the trip I was asking some questions and she patiently replied me almost immediately. A big thumbs up for such outstanding service! 👍🏼
The sleeper bus from Hanoi to Sapa Hill was our first experience and we were amazed by how clean and tidy the bus was. The driver was also very service oriented and driving is very safe. We met our guide, Ly at Sapa Hill. The hotel was great and staff was friendly. Food serving is good and generous too! Ly spoke excellent English and on the breaks along our trekking she filled us in with the knowledge about the unique culture of the mountain tribe people. The scenery was fantastic and the trek was the best part of what we enjoyed. Ly always pace our speed and patiently waited for us when we stop to take photos and even helped us to carry our stuffs when we got tired. The local villagers were very friendly and hardworking people. We really appreciate and respect them. We’ve certainly made the right decision to make this trip and in many ways it has exceeded our expectation. I’ll always remember this special trip to mark the new year 2020! And we want to be back again with our friends & family. We feel that we’ve just discovered some gems for future trekking trip!

Our trip to Sapa was very beautiful and well organized. The people we encountered were all very friendly and accommodating. Walking though the countryside and village provided an amazing look at the local culture and scenery. Meals that were provided along the way were filling and delicious. Our group was small making it a great chance to get to know those we traveled with. The overnight train was a bit hard to sleep on but it was clean and as expected. The trip organizers did a good job of keeping things on track. I would recommend this trip for anyone that wants to get out and experience the true Sapa.

Sorry I don’t know what a berth is. You get a single bed, a blanket, a pillow, a small bottle of water and some snacks. The only amenities available are a toilet and basin.
