My husband and I booked a private tour with 5 Star Marine to Phi Phi Island and can honestly say it was a true 5 star experience. The communication was excellent from start to finish, we were picked up right on time and transferred straight through to the marina where we headed out to the islands. The crew on board were extremely professional, friendly & fun and we had the best time. Maya Bay (where The Beach was filmed) was lovely but heavily touristed. The other locations chosen by the team were in my opinion even more beautiful (and certainly quieter!), and the water everywhere was perfect for swimming & snorkelling. Would wholeheartedly recommend booking any tour with 5 Star Marine for a truly memorable day out.

5 Star Exceeded 5 stars! I wanted a private tour for my wife and I. Most were very expensive and just before I booked a two thousand dollar tour I saw 5 Star and saved a fortune! Saved over a thousand and got wayyyy more than expected. We had a private luxury van transport us back and forth. We had a private boat with an amazing private captain, amazing first mate and an amazing tour guide Mr.Jack, Mr. Kren, and Mr. Farit . All three catered to our every need with a smile and ultimate gratitude for our business. The captain knew how to man the boat! Knew how to handle the waves to make it as smooth as possible. The boat was super clean and looked brand new. This was not expected in Thailand as things are mostly older. Mr. Jack was clearly a superior tour guide from the other guides from tours. He was our guide and personal photographer that knew how to get all the angles. I highly recommend 5 Star!!!

We booked 5 Star Marine to take us on a tour to visit the Phi Phi & James Bond islands. We were lucky enough to get YaYa as our guide. She along with the rest of the crew were absolutely amazing. They answered any questions, always made sure we were comfortable, and extremely knowledgeable with all the islands we visited. We were able to go at our own pace since it was a private tour and experience the beauty of Thailand as a secluded group. Cannot thank 5 Star enough and the amazing team they have put together. Next time I’m in Phuket, I will be booking another excursion!

We took the Bioluminescence and Sea Canoeing tour with Alex and it exceeded our expectations. The canoeing and caving was so much fun, and the bioluminescence was magical. We added on some extra snorkeling and even though the water was a bit murky, everyone had a blast. Alex is an awesome guide. He was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole crew really looked after us. Thank you. My kids said that this tour was the highlight of their trip to Thailand.

This was the second day of touring and we headed up towards the James Bond Island. I shared with Joon our guide that we again wanted to stay away from crowds. Wow did he ever deliver. We cruised through amazing islands and then stopped and took the kayaks into what we thought was a cave. It started out as a cave, but then opened up to a very peaceful and AMAZING lagoon. There we simply drifted around mangroves and listened to the quiet. We visited a floating village and then they found another cave to glide through to get to a second and equally AMAZING lagoon. Side Note: Some of the large group tours were taking people into the cave, but the guest had NO IDEA there was an amazing lagoon if they were able to go farther. This is an example of how 5 Star Marine excels and personalized service, and truly showing the wonder of the region of the world. MANY MANY thanks to Joon and the 5 star team.

We were in Phuket for 2 days on a cruise. Background of us: Myself, my blind husband, and adult daughter. The ship tours were not at all appealing and typically had many many people in each group. After doing considerable research we found 5 Star Marine. We booked private because we wanted some control of the plan, but ultimately after discussing with our guide we went with their suggestions based on us telling them our likes and dislikes. I am writing one review for each day since each trip was very different. The first day focused on snorkeling and beach time. Communication prior to the trip was excellent and after getting off our ship tender we walked to the meeting place and were met by Joon who was holding a sign with my name on it. He immediately called the taxi who was minutes away and we rode to the marina on the other side of the peninsula in comfort while learning more about the area from Joon. When we arrived at the marina we reviewed the large map and confirmed where we were headed. We then boarded a VERY LARGE boat for the 3 of us, we had the guide (Joon) the boat pilot, and one additional helper. They did share that it would be bumpy as we left the harbor area, but it was not too bad. We arrived at the first island to find very clear water and amazing snorkeling. After all the time we wanted there, we went to an even quieter bay and very much enjoyed our snorkeling there too. As we toured to a beach spot they brought out fruit and drinks. The beach stop was great, and included hot food, and comfy chairs in the shade. We ordered some local food and had a very relaxing time. On the way back in to the Marina we stopped and tossed the remaining fruit to the monkeys. Many Thanks to Joon and the staff for a wonderful day!

I can't say enough amazing things about 5 Star Marine and our guide Alex. We booked a last minute private boat tour to see the bioluminescent algea and get dinner at Punyee Island. I highly recommend using them for a boat tour because you will get more than you pay for and amazing service. 5 Star Marine communicated quickly and we were able to book a private boat with them at a great price within a few hours. They brought their boat over to the marina we were already going to be at in the afternoon and sent us a picture of the boat and our guide so we knew who to look for. The service from Alex and his team was impecible from the start. The boat was clean and in great shape and comfortable for all of us. We had planned to see just Punyee Island for dinner and then the algea but Alex had some recommendations of things to see along the way that we were happy to do, and I'm so glad we did! He took us to a hidden private open cave and lagoon that was breathtaking. Then we swung by more stunning rock formations enjoying the sunset from the boat on the way to dinner. He called ahead to the restaurant to make sure they stayed open for us since we spent time enjoying the lagoon/cave. After a wonderful dinner he took us to a cave where guides were waiting in canoes to take us into the calm dark waters to see the algae. We spent time in the cave playing in the water and enjoying the light show. Alex jumped into the water to show us different affects with the biolumimesence and it was so much fun. One of our friends was nervous about the canoes so she stayed back on the speedboat, but they still made sure she go to experience it as well by turning off all the lights and having her splash on the back of the boat. After ample time we all loaded back onto the speed boat and headed back to the marina where Alex arranged for a van ride for our group back to our hotel. We stayed out later than expected, got to see and experience more than we expected, and were blown away by the service the entire time. Alex was so kind and seemed to enjoy answering all our questions and teaching us about the area. You can tell he loves his country and sharing it with people. We never felt rushed and got to enjoy the evening at a relaxed pace. They made a custom program for us, at a great price, that was worth every penny. If I'm ever back in Phuket I will use them again and again and again!! Thank you for an amazing time!

Great customer service from the day we booked, communicated with me throughout the period before we stared. Prompt pickup from our hotel, warm welcome from the staff. Our tour guide Alex and his team took great care of us, especially my 80 years old mum. He was very thoughtful and caring, tried his best helping my mum so she was not missing out and can joined all the activities with us. It is very appreciated. Highly recommended. - Lily

We had a private tour as a family of 5 - 3 teens. Very flexible itinerary and a well equipped boat.. topped off with a fantastic crew of 3. We had to change the date of our tour at the last minute due to one of us being sick - the team were super accomodating and flexible. The communication from first enquiry to the day of departure was first class… speedy, informative and proactive. The you tube info clips were helpful too. The photos taken by our team lead - Jun - were shared with us the next day, which was great. The only small suggestion would be to have the option of hiring or having someone take some photos in the water when we were snorkeling. Great day out, thanks again to the 5 star marine team.
