- B7642IVjohng0 contributionsUp close and personal to Elephants - well runWe went on a private trip from Bangkok to meet up with others at the site for the afternoon half day tour. Site has good accessibility and help would be offered if needed. Spending the time feeding and bathing the elephants is a unique experience and well worth every penny. Very good toilets and showers on site. You do not have to get wet and dirty but if you want to get stuck in you will have a great time and the shower afterwards will get you clean. Lockers cost 100Bhart but you get this back when you return the key. The lunch provided was of a high quality and enough choice for even a fussy eater. There was water tea and coffee available on arrival. You may need to wait for the morning session to finish before the afternoon session starts so do allow some extra time for your travels. There is a photographer taking pictures throughout the session which are then uploaded to facebook. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment.Written July 29, 2024

- J519MYevanp0 contributionsDisappointed with staff supervisionThe first disappointment was that there were only 3 elephants in total. Then there were no lockers to secure personal items, only small bags left unsupervised (I initially wound up with someone else's wallet as all bags looked the same). I purchased rubbers sandals from them to enter the bathing area, but the sandals broke apart as soon as I entered the water. Our "guide" was no where to be found as guests entered the water. Her one job was to ensure the safety of guests, and she was not there! Others had to assist me to get out. Once, I was able to stand and put together the broken sandals, the activity was over. Overall a very disappointing experience for me.Written April 22, 2024
- mpdxrunner0 contributionsMust Visit in Pattaya**Bring a bathing suit, change of clothes, sandals and a towel!** This is a beautiful sanctuary. We got to feed the elephants, wash them and bathe with them. The volunteers here will tell you all about the elephants and what they are doing to create a healthy environment for elephants in Thailand. I highly recommend visiting this place if you are in Pattaya. We tried to get a taxi to get there, but we could not find the location on google maps. Someone from the Sanctuary was able to pick us up and drop us back to our hotel, free of charge.Written April 15, 2024
- FarAway1340230 contributionsPerfect day tripA fascinating visit, up close and personal with the elephants and their keepers. Charming! The meal served was amazing and one of the best we’ve ever had in an excursion.Written March 24, 2024
- U1690GDjennar0 contributionsWorth every minute! An amazing experience, you can see these elephants are very well looked after. The feed me programme is great (although watch out as they will steal the bucket if they get the chance) beautiful animals in a beautiful environment! Thank you to the man who allowed us to cool one of the elephants down with water even though we got very messy it was 100% worth it for the experience of seeing these animals being ethically looked after and thank you for allowing us to be a part of that. If you are looking for an ethical elephant sanctuary this is the place to go. Big thank you to the lady with the tattoos at the start for making us feel very welcome and giving us lots of information on all the elephants across the group.Written February 19, 2024
- robertovR5535NA0 contributionsOkThe tour was well organised, and the elephants were well treated, but they were trained to entertain the tourists. You are offered a leisurely walk with the elephants where I imagined they would be able to do as they please while you watch them, but actually they were forced to pose so our endless group of tourists (30 people) could take picture after picture. Even bathing them was a circus, where they performed tricks and blew water at you. It was still a nice opportunity to get to know the elephants and I assume they have a much better and easier time than if they had to work elsewhere, but these elephants are working. The carers did seem to care for them, and my kids had a great time, but it was not what I Imagined. They claimed difficult to believe things such as ‘the elephant loves hugging people’, sure he loves it when he gets a treat and is forced to do it so people can take a picture.Written February 10, 2024
- Louise C0 contributionsFabulous afternoon out and very good valueWe enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the elephant sanctuary. The elephants are so well looked after and it was great to see their wellbeing being the priority. Lots of lovely surprises such as the time we had to feed the elephants, bathe them and making their vitamin balls. Really appreciated the free photos available after our visit of pictures taken by the photographer. Delicious home cooked food too. Thank you all for a wonderful time.Written February 8, 2024

Myself and my friend travelled from Bangkok to see the elephants. Although it was a long journey it was definitely worth it and one of the highlights of our time in Thailand. The session is really fun and informative, you have time to feed the elephants, mud them and bath them in the water. It’s a really hands on experience and all the better for it!
The food afterwards was lush and all the staff were super accommodating too. The free pictures were a bonus that meant you didn’t need to be worrying about capturing it all yourself.
Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to all!

Thank you. The elephants are always so happy to see our guests and just love to be feed their favorite snacks and pampered in the mud spa, hosed down in the pool and scrub up in the shower, and I know that they look forward to seeing you again one day soon. Love EJS.

Amazing trip, firstly you get to know the elephants and feed them their breakfast and ask questions from the very knowledgeable staff, then you bathe them. Not much else to say other than a great experience and would 100% recommend to anybody who is thinking about it. The lunch was very nice as well :)

From start to finish, this experience was very well planned by the staff! Although there were roughly 20 people in the group, they made the interaction personal. Nothing felt rushed and everybody got plenty of time to spend with the elephants. They really cared about capturing the experience for the guests and provided easy access to the pictures taken during the trip. Highly, highly recommend!

This is a fun experience, there’s enough time to spend with elephants and to feed them. The information given is very insightful and the staff are very friendly and funny. The mud bath is a once in a lifetime experience. You can tell the elephants are treated well and are as happy as they can be there.

They say an elephant never forgets and our herd will always remember that you made the right choice by supporting them and not a riding camp. Thank you!

This was the most fun experience ever. The elephants were kind, healthy, happy, and it was so fun to learn each of their personalities. The staff was even more kind, and truly cared for the elephants and the visitors. They made sure that each visitor was having fun, helping us to get comfortable with the elephants while ensuring we felt safe. They offered free photos for the experience and shared them on Facebook in a timely manner.

Wonderful experience to go home with…. To spend some quality time with these magnificent animals is a once in a lifetime. The sanctuary is ran with the elephants in mind at ALL times… we go at the animals pace and do what they want to do, no over petting, definitely no riding, just a chance to feed them and batch them for a couple of hours. Head home in a couple of days but this is something I’ll always remember 🥰. We were picked up from the hotel bang on 6:30 and were returned by 11:30. Food was lovely 🥰 can’t fault this experience one bit…. If I could say one fault…. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars :)

What to bring ? how to dress for this tour ? Do we need to bring a towel ?
Written May 19, 2022
Answering my own question having done the tour. Great tour ! You need to bring towel and change of clothes if you want to wash elephants(they provide showers afterwards).Recommend shorts and t-shirt for elephant washing. Don’t bother with breakfast before you go as lunch is early at around 10:30.
