About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- janab8140 contributionsRiver Kwai Day Trip from BangkokOur guide Rach was great. He kept us moving through a busy but non rushed day and took great photographs along the way. He used time getting to the site to give us context for our visit including helpful images on an iPad. Our driver was also great but I don't remember his name. Good value/full day, small group.Written March 19, 2025
- 929briand0 contributionsGood river Kwai tripGood trip to river Kwai. Do not add 300 baht river cruise in a long boat as is overpriced for 5 min trip. Add in museum by steel bridge and train stationWritten March 18, 2025
- Discover683969229770 contributionsStay home and watch the news.Terrible waste of time and money. Get a message the morning of the there is no food, even after I paid for five (5) lunches. Not even an offer of a refund. The we get there at the allotted time only to find the place deserted with nothing even open but a tour of an empty park. None of the stores or markets that were advertised were open. And there were no workers other than what seems to be maintenance people trying to clean the dirt of off the dirt. I was expecting to see the equivalent of the Polynesian Center on Oahu, and what I got was an off ramp in the Bronx. Damn shame, this could be a very nice place.Written March 15, 2025
- byrong9560 contributionsBe prepared for a long drive!Okay, so be prepared for spending time in a mini bus! The tour operator will collect you at the pick up point/hotel and depending on the location of said hotel, expect a 3 hour drive to the first stop which includes a small museum, the cemetery of fallen POW's (the cemetery is immaculately maintained) and a photo opportunity of the bridge over the River Kwai (you will spend 30 minutes here). From here, you will board a train and travel a further 1 hr to Tham Krasae Death Railway Bridge where you will disembark and get to walk along the bridge and take photo's. Your mini bus will meet you here, and then you will drive back to Bangkok which is 4 hrs! So in summary, prepare for 6+ (closer to 7 hours) driving! Take nothing away from the guides, they are great, but it is a long day!Written February 26, 2025
- peterdavies29080 contributionsA fun day.Enjoyable day , Rach the guide coped well with the weather and the need to change the format of the day. The lunch was good and the transport comfortable.Written February 24, 2025
- ColonelBangkok0 contributionsDay Trip from BangkokWell organized with early morning hotel pick up and return at about 3:30 pm. Return by boat was pleasant with an excellent lunch aboard. Would have liked more history of the area in the guides presentations.Written February 24, 2025
- 349denisel0 contributionsDisappointed and stressful experienceI booked the 3D2N River Kwai tour (6-8 January 2025) with a pickup from Bangkok at a cost of £670. On the evening of 5th January I received an email telling me the Floathouse room was not available and could I delay the tour until the 7th. This was not possible as we had arranged flights to Laos around the Kwai schedule. After a very stressful couple of hours and numerous emails, your company agreed we would continue as planned, albeit a much earlier start time than originally stated. However there were several significant omissions to the trip we had paid for and we did not visit the following: 1. The Thailand-Burma Railway Centre interactive museum 2. The Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre 3. The Mon Tribal Village, Golden Rock, Buddha image cave and village school 4. One night at the FloatHouse River Kwai (which was one of the chief reasons for booking this particular tour) 5. The full ride on the Death Railway Train We had to argue with our guides on the coach to Kanchanaburi to ensure we would be transported to the Home Phutoey Hotel - this really added to our already stressful experience. As your company did not fulfill the tour we had booked, I would consider a partial refund should be made to us. There was a significant difference in price between the two hotels as well as us missing out on parts of the tour. We travelled from the UK specifically to do this once-in-a-lifetime experience so you can imagine our disappointment. Despite two emails to your company, no reply has been received. I feel I need to warn other people to avoid them experiencing this kind of situation.Written February 24, 2025

- jameseA4829QF0 contributionsNice evening out, experience could easy be improved.Great views and ambiance. Need to improve quality and variety of foods. The live entertainment was okay, but if you want people to dance, you should go with a DJ that specializes with this. It would have been nice to have someone identify the temples and significant buildings as we approached them. Still a nice evening on the water.Written February 21, 2025
- nicolettapulcia0 contributionsReally worth but avoid the return cruiseNapat, our guide was superlative, extremely prepared, clear and with a perfect English. Ayutthaya is amazing and worth to visit as well it was the king summer palace. The only non optimal part of the tour was the lunch in the returning cruise to Bangkok. It was relatively low quality and also not very tasty. I would suggest to use the same tour operator but avoid the cruise optionWritten February 21, 2025
- 44fionawo0 contributionsInformative and funWould have loved a little more time at some of the visit locations. Was very informative but would have loved for more information on route as the guide was then in another busWritten February 17, 2025
- Cambsukguy0 contributionsThe lack of a 'guide' for the 'guided' tour was disappointing. Buy late, overpriced if bought early. The format of the trip was fine, the execution less so. Starting at 6am is not great for many, it can lead to late arrivals, especially since only a few fancy hotels are used for pickup. I imagine the traffic could be better but most of the journey is out of town anyway. The main issue with this particular trip was that the guide was not really informative and, when he did speak, off-colour and non-PC jokes in broken English were not useful or welcome. A major problem was that we were not 'guided' but simply told "We are here for X minutes, meet at the bus there", which is a chauffeur service really. The JEATH museum was a case in point, we were told to walk through the exhibit and meet afterwards, no context from the guide at all. It was fine but no different to going there under one's own steam. However, there was supposed to be 'model' exhibits - soldiers and prisoners etc - we did not see these and were whisked away, basically, we saw a room of photos, not a great experience. The lunch place was well situated - great river view - but one is having lunch at 11:30am - in our case with no breakfast - so it is a strange experience. We had particular trouble because, despite a large range of buffet food available, there was no food suitable for Vegans at all. There was a nice walk available from the lunch place, "cave over there" was the guides indication. We walked along that track too, the cave is actually worth visiting, no guide information however. The optional 25-minute boat ride up to the bridge itself was confusing - we missed the chance to do it because we thought about it - having spend the entire day on similar boats in Cambodia just before - and they were gone. It turns out that it is more like 10 mins so not really worth the extra money anyway. Similarly, with the train journey, we were told we should buy the VIP seats because, otherwise, we would stand for an hour instead - the regular train fare was included. We opted for the regular journey - like the locals! There were almost no locals and there were plenty of perfectly fine wooden seats available, although the guide neglected to mention where we got off (the original bridge station as it turned out) so we had to go looking for him in the good seats to find out. The train itself was hugely delayed, twice, so we had to wait at the station for a long time, they didn't bring the vehicle to replace the journey - it is just a hot train after all - so we arrived home at 6:30 instead of 4 or so, not a big deal but annoying without food etc. Overall ,it was the price (50% higher because I booked in plenty of time as well, which is unfair and annoying), without that guided experience, it is a series of shuttles between trains and boats, all available to all, so no benefit for an expensive layout was experienced.Written February 16, 2025
- Emily J0 contributionsFantastic tripThe theme park was huge. We arrived at 10am and left at 3.30pm. Great service. Great day. Lots of fun. Good for couples and children. They have 2 shows during the day. A Hollywood action show and a parade with all the characters in the Park. Bring two sets of clothes. One for wet rides. One for normal rides.Written February 15, 2025

My guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The Sanctuary of Truth was truly amazing, as was a Chinese museum. The Big Buddha was big, and the Buddha mountain carving was a marvel of design. I'm glad I took this private tour and would recommend it to all tourists who go to Pattaya.

The landmarks were great to see. However, everything was a bit rushed. The lunch was absolutely terrible. Bring your own snacks. At the Sanctury of Truth, the group sizes were too big, and it was so noisy that you couldn't hear what the guide was saying, also too rushed.

We booked a group tour, but nobody else showed up so we had a solo tour with our guide named Gift. Gift knows all the secret hidden gems of Pattaya. Excellent English, took photos and sent them to us as well as a video, very responsive in communication via WhatsApp. Highly recommend you get gif as your guide.

We had booked the private tour for flexibility.
The guide dropped us to the location and drove away to come back a hour or two hour latter, she did not seem interested to share any background of the city or the key locations we were visiting. The viewing seemed aligned per her convenience.

The tour was first scheduled to pickup at 8am then 9 am then back to 8am then bus was still 20 minutes late.
Pattaya city sign for photos ok.
Big Buddha was good
The Gem museum was interesting but turned into a sales opportunity and we waited 30 minutes for a tour member to buy jewelry.
Sanctuary of Truth was awesome. But tour guide kept us in the sun way to long for a hot day.
Lunch at floating market was good but not until 2:00 pm kids were starving. Delayed due to slow fellow tourists.
Buddha mountain park was very nice but the day was too hot to really enjoy.
The trip to town was uncomfortable because the A/C was failing.
Ok tour but just to long, they should visit a good temple in town and shorten the trip.

The guide/driver hardly spoke or understood English, so there was no story/history telling involved.
We thought the activity included English speaking guide (as the description said) meaning she would be more than just a driver.
The sightings were beautiful, but we got almost no info on them.
The floating market seemed like a tourist scam. Over priced and half closed.

We were supposed to be picked up from the hotel at 1 p.m. Nobody showed up. Luckily the office for SunLeisure was located in the hotel itself that the concierge informed us. When we went there, we were told that at first the agent could not find our reservation and she called the Bangkok office for further clarification at which point they found it. We were picked up around 1.45 p.m. and taken to a gem factory which we did not want to see and waited to pick up other passengers that were in there. We left around 2.15 p.m. and went to pick up other people. By the time we went to see the Sanctuary of Truth it was 2.55 p.m. We were very disappointed in the beginning itself and stressed out. The tour guide was good. It took a long time to go to the floating market. When we finished our boat tour there, the tour guide asked us to meet at a place we could not find. We called SunLeisure and told them where we were and the tour guide came to pick us up. We were supposed to have dinner there, but we did not have time because Big Buddha would be closing soon. The Guide bought us some cut fruit instead. All in all it was a disappointing experience but the sights were worth seeing.

I visited the sanctuary of truth. This is definitely recommended! Even a week of staying in the temple would still be short of time to have seen everything of this temple. You're short of time and eyes. By the way, this will be a temple that will always be under construction. As the oldest part will have to be replaced even before the last, newest part will be finished. This reflects the boudism very well.
In short, a must see!

Our guide was wonderful. She explained the history of Pattaya while we were going from stop to stop. Helped us to understand the Boht Buses and Gave us a wonderful lunch. We now have a better understanding of Pattaya and how to get around. Every one of the stops on our tour was educational, fun and very enjoyable. The Art of Pardise was a real kick, don't miss it, we never laughed so hard taking pictures. Would definitely recommend this tour. Thanks for a great time.
