- A4443JVtc0 contributionsAmazingly GreatToni who organized my trip was amazing! Chang Mai and Chang Rai is a definitely a must travel destination with many amazing temples. My favorite was the white and blue temple. Toni was very accomodating to my travel needs and was even able to customize 1 day of my itinerary with a very affordable cost. Tum Tum, Sara, and Susie were my favorite tour guides. Sara was very funny and Susie made my trip to Hinoki Land a great experience! Tum Tum was great with my Chang Mai temple tours. Sara was great with the Chang Rai tours. And Susie with my customized tour. They were all great, very nice, and informative tour guides. If you want to travel Thailand and Cambodia definitely book directly with Indochina Tours. I had booked my trip with another agency just to find that the agency I booked connects with Indochina tour. I would have booked directly with Indochina tours had I known their website ahead of time. Toni was very accomodating and informed me of the time of pick up on every tour. I definitely recommend them. It was a very pleasant trip and enjoyed every day! It was a memorable trip I will never forget. I will definitely come back to Thailand, this time to Phuket and Krabi and will book with Indochina Tour directly.Written February 19, 2024
- 383alanv0 contributionsBeyond WonderfulOur guide , Mr Kong was kind, gracious, tremendously helpful. This was one of the best tours we have been on: seeing the tribespeople’s, going to the borders, magnificent lunch w Mr Kong by Laos border. He is thoroughly familiar. He is gracious and magnanimous; a delightful guide. We respected his efforts; while we added to our tour and tipped handsomely, he was completely eager to assist. I really loved this adventureWritten February 17, 2024

Our guide Parn explained everything very well, and timed our activities so we were able to see everything without rushing. Although most areas were pretty crowded, she knew a few places where we could escape the crowds.Written January 5, 2024

The places we visited were absolutely beautiful and we recommend people stay in Chiang Rai for a few days and take this tour on one of those days. - kunpimooka0 contributionsIndeed a long day, but it's absolutely worth it!The highlights of our tour included visiting the iconic White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), which is a stunning masterpiece of art and architecture. The temple's intricate details and unique design left us in awe.. Despite the long hours, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to other travelers seeking a memorable and educational adventure.Written November 10, 2023
- Miss5pennies0 contributionsInformative but sad at timesThe Long Neck Karen village started out as a tortuous gauntlet through tribal elders shouting at you to buy their “handmade” stuff that was really China crap. What a sad reduction of their culture. Once past that, there really was some handmade woven scarves that were beautiful, as well as children learning in a school. Still, I wonder how they feel about being on display. The visit to the Opium Museum was fascinating but also sad. To have a plant so beautiful with marvelous medical properties yet so easily abused for greed, war and leaves you wondering if it should have been eradicated.Written November 9, 2023
- prasertn20230 contributionsPrivate Services and spend a day at your own paceOur guide was kind and informative, sharing the history of the temples we visited. With the flexibility of a private tour, we designed our own itinerary, allowing us to explore at our own pace. We covered several attractions, including the White Temple, Wat Saeng Kaeo Phothiyan, a tea plantation, the Black Museum, the Big Buddha, and the Blue Temple. The guide even dropped us off at the Night Bazaar for dinner. I highly recommend this tour if you want a personalized day of exploration.Written November 9, 2023
- SCLUS-NL0 contributionsMr. Kongla is the best!!We has a great day with many memorable impressions in the Northern tip of Thailand. Especially around the Golden Triangle you can sense the eventful history. And most of all our driver/guide Mr. Kongla was great. Very food driver, knowledgable guide and most of all so kind and friendly. When in Chang Rai try to book a tour with him!Written November 3, 2023

Kongla was a great guide. He was very informative and was able to answer all of our questions concerning Thailand history and culture. The tour of the hill tribes was interesting but at the same time, it was a little disturbing as mentioned in the other reviews. The House of Opium was super cool. Even though it was small, it provided a lot of good information. It was also neat to see three countries at once at the Golden Triangle. I would definitely recommend this tour if you have extra time in Chiang Rai.
