- amyeC8205CL0 contributionsWonderful market visit and cooking class!!Spent the morning with doing this cooking class and couldn't be more pleased! Good communication prior to the class and hotel pick up and drop off made it super easy. We really enjoyed the market visit with explanations of so many (previously mysterious) ingredients. Sky was lovely and happy to answer so many questions from us. Her English is impeccable and easy to understand. We each were able to each pick what we wanted from the (many) options in five categories: stir fry, soup, appetizer, curry paste (and then a curry dish made from curry paste) and dessert. There were just three of us in the class so very personalized instruction (but the facility is such that I can imagine would be just fine with their max of 10). Open but covered space, lots of fans to keep the air moving, VERY clean, and we each had our own chopping station and cooking station (with our own wok or whatever else was needed) and made our own dishes. I agree with other reviewers that say to not eat before the class. We had *just* coffee, fruit and yogurt at breakfast and I really wished we had only the coffees so as to have had more room for all the delicious food. Can adjust spiciness as you prefer and Sky tasted each of our creations and helped us dial it in just right to the dish and our taste. We sat down to eat a few times: once after making stir fry then again after making soup and appetizer, and finally after making our curries and desserts. It was smart to spread out all the eating over the course of the class! Plenty of cold bottled water was offered as well as to-go containers when we couldn't finish our creations. LOVED using the mortar and pestle to make a REAL curry paste out of the base ingredients rather than prepared pastes. Sky is a great instructor--perfect balance of teaching the dishes, allowing for conversation and keeping it fun. All of this at such a reasonable price--would definitely recommend! Tip--coming with others? Coordinate to make different dishes so you can all try each others' food-we shared all around with our classmate so got to taste so much more than just our own.Written September 21, 2024
- holliesherlock0 contributionsHighlight of our trip! This was the best activity we did in our time in Thailand. We had our two children (3yrs & 5yrs) with us and they absolutely loved it! I highly recommend it as a family activity. We zipped around the local market and learnt about all the ingredients for the dishes we’d make. Back at the house we made all the dishes ourselves and did a lot of eating along the way too. It was delicious! And we were able to make everything vegetarian too. Ahnoosa (Noodle) was a most fantastic host. She’s super friendly and had an incredible way of keeping our kids engaged too. They loved her. Book this in! You won’t regret it!Written September 17, 2024

- TandemBar0 contributionsDon’t hesitate - just do itAs someone that sees a kitchen as way through to the garden this was always going to be different - quite how different I had no idea. Picked up from our hotel we went to the local market to get the fresh ingredients and then went to the cookery school. Massive amounts of fun were had by the group who quickly got into the preparation and cooking - laughing al the time - having each prepared our dishes we set about cooking which was even more fun. Not only did We cook lots of dishes they tasted amazing (under the expert guidance of our chef of course) Top tip - don’t have breakfast before you go - there is so much food Would I do it again- without question. - totally recommended trip in Chiangmai and really lovely people. Fantastic value and great funWritten March 2, 2024

I learned so much and was really happy to stock up on ingredients over the rest of my trip after what i learned from Noodle. I dont know how i can put into words how great this experience was. I miss Thailand but i am happy i can make all the best dishes.Written January 31, 2024
- Jeff H0 contributionsGreat ExperienceWe really enjoyed our cooking class this morning. It was exactly what we wanted with a trip to the local produce market and a super friendly host and instructor named “Noodle”. Our small group of 7 made three different dishes for each of the four plus courses. The class was super well organized and results were tasty answers surprisingly delicious for our first time cooking Thai. Highly recommend this class. It’s an experience you won’t forget.Written January 25, 2024
- jcyy20170 contributionsMy favorite thai food!!!What an amazing cooking experience with Noodle! We started out at the local market shopping for ingredients and then learned how to cook 4 Thai dishes and make a thai curry paste. My 11 year old son loved it and Noodle was so lovely and patient with him. We had a wonderful time and learned so much about thai ingredients and flavors, not to mention stuffing ourselves with all the food we made. (Noodle wasn't wrong to tell us to attend class hungry!) GREAT way to spend a morning!!Written January 7, 2024
- EMG19700 contributionsDo itThe course and Noodle were both fantastic. Extensive choices of dishes to make and a real hands-on experience. We have spent much of our trip tracking down the “best” and highly regarded street food, many of which with Michelin recognition, and the food we cooked in the class was every bit as good. Noodle has a great personality and was a very good instructor.Written December 13, 2023
- Lorrie K0 contributionsYummy tasty cooking class was the perfect way to spend half a day in Chiang MaiTasty Yummy was one of the best cooking classes we’ve ever taken, and we’ve taken several around the world. Our instructor first took us to a market, where she explained what the different vegetables and ingredients were. She then had us choose which dishes we wanted to make, which did not have to be the same as our partner or the other students in the class. She takes up to eight people in a class, but they were only six of us, which was great. She spoke English perfectly, and was a great teacher, she made it very easy to make these Thai dishes. Another great thing about the class was she did not have us cook everything at once and then eat everything at once (which we’ve had to do in other cooking classes elsewhere), We cooked a dish then ate it, then cooked some more then ate some more, etc. so we were able to enjoy each dish over the course of 3+ hours. We highly recommend this class, it was both fun and yummy tasty!Written November 24, 2023
- janethogan990 contributionsHighly recommend this tour. Can't recommend Yummy's Tasty Thai Cooking Course enough, what a brilliant morning we had. Noodle picked us up at our hotel, then had a tour of her local market where we shopped for ingredients, then back to the cooking school where we were taught by Noodle how to cook 4 different dishes. Recipes were sent onto us afterwards by email along with photos of our morning. Would highly recommend this activity. Would also recommend you do not eat anything before you go as there is so much to eat once you have cooked it and it is all delicious. Noodle was brilliant, a really lovely lady, knowledgeable, patient and lots of fun and she dropped us back at our hotel afterwards too. This was one of our best activities while in Chaing Mai. Thank you Noodle for a great morning.Written November 14, 2023
- PaulL760 contributionsVery good class and a great time.Noodle picked us up from our hotel, a family of three, two adults and one little guy, 10. We were taken to a local market where we picked the ingredients for our dishes. Arrived at the kitchen, clean and airy, each with our own areas. We had five courses to prepare! When they say go hungry, they mean it…! Skip breakfast… noodle was an excellent teacher and explained each of the dishes and their history, she took photos throughout and these and the recipes were promptly emailed. Really good tour, highly recommend.Written August 19, 2023
- Michelle D0 contributionsBest cooking experience in Chiang Mai.Our host was wonderful. The trip to the market was very educational and she bought fruit we were interested in trying so we could explore the flavors and learn more. The cooking was fun and interesting. The flavors of the foods we cooked were out of this world!!Written July 4, 2023
- jonpaulb20230 contributionsAmazing! Delicious! Fun!So much fun. Our teacher, Noodle, was awesome. Speaks very clear English, was very knowledgeable, and a great teacher. The food came out amazing, we were stuffed! Highly recommend!Written February 19, 2023
- delphineg1970 contributionsAmazing experience of Thai cultureWe had a fantastic cooking class. We were lucky to be just the two of us, so we ended up in a private lesson. The cook was very nice, and willing to share his culture with personal stories and answered all our silly questions :) We started with a visit to the local market, which was very different from the Sunday Market or other places for tourists in Chiang Mai. The class is suited for all levels. It was very easy to follow because all ingredients were prepared in advance, and the cook told us exactly what and how to do it. We learnt how to stir-fry, and many tips that the cook gave us to make Thai dishes taste like from a restaurant. We spent there 4 hours (less than indicated, because we were just two) and cooked 5 dishes that we ate one after the other, in between cooking. Useful tip: skip breakfast or lunch! Then you enjoy the whole thing fully :)Written January 5, 2023
- 88carries880 contributionsSo good I came back a second timeI did a cooking class with Noodle 3 years ago. I remembered how good it was and didn’t even bother to look up any others this visit. It was just as brilliant this time around. I especially love that each person can choose different dishes to cook based on your own likes and tastes. Noodle is friendly and clear with instructions and makes Thai cooking simple and pleasurable. Once again the food was delicious and I enjoyed every minute of this experience.Written December 30, 2022

What a lovely experience. I had such a great time cooking with noodle and she is so much fun to be with. She took us to the market first and explained different fruits, vegies and herbs. We went back to her kitchen and had so much fun preparing five fishes which we selected earlier. Noodle is such a warm and nice person and very patieent as well.

I would give this course 6 stars if I could, it was excellent from start to finish. You pick from a selection of thai dishes to cook, they pick you up at your hotel and then take you around a local market, explaining all the different ingredients they use and why.
You're then driven to their home where you cook the dishes with breaks to eat them together as you go. We cooked 5 dishes in total in only a few hours but the teaching was so relaxed and thorough, it didn't feel like we were rushed at all. You also get online access to all the recipes as well for cooking at home, and Noodle will tell you substitutions if you can't find certain ingredients in your home country.
I have been in Thailand for almost a month and this is one of my favourite things I've done, I highly recommend it!

This is an A-1 cooking class. If you are looking for an amazing, authentic Thai cooking class, look no further. Noodle, the chef and teacher, is adorable, charming, very sharp and a superior teacher. The dishes are all delicious and authentic. We were a group of 4, and we made many assorted fabulous dishes which we all got to share and eat. We had a wonderful group, and laughed a lot.
Nice location- even though it was a very hot day, it was very pleasant in the house where we ate and on the patio where we cooked.
Both my husband and I are very glad we signed up for this! Thank you Noodle!

We were drawn in by the rave reviews and didn't leave Noodle's class disappointed.
It was a fantastic experience and would highly recommend if you're in Chiang Mai.
Lots of great information at the local wet market before the cooking part of the evening.
All recipes were easy to follow (super delicious too I might add) and we left inspired to do more at home.
Thanks for a very memorable evening Noodle!

5 star experience!
Noodle was an amazing, gentle instructor and kept everyone entertained and on task.
We were a group of 3 and we each chose different menu options so we could sample the variety. Each dish was outstanding.
The kitchen was well ventilated and even though it was a hot day, we were cool even while slaving over hot woks!
Do not hesitate to book your cooking class with Noodle! You will love every minute.
Pro tip - come hungry!

This is a 5 hour- 5 course cooking class. There were 10 of us and everyone had a fun time. You work individually and sometimes as a group. And then sit down and enjoy each course together. I must say every dish was good but the green curry was my favorite. Kim our instructor and Jit her assistant were phenomenal. Funny and informative. Took is to the market 1st and explained each ingredient as we were going. I highly recommend.
