We had a fantastic cooking class. We were lucky to be just the two of us, so we ended up in a private lesson. The cook was very nice, and willing to share his culture with personal stories and answered all our silly questions :) We started with a visit to the local market, which was very different from the Sunday Market or other places for tourists in Chiang Mai.
The class is suited for all levels. It was very easy to follow because all ingredients were prepared in advance, and the cook told us exactly what and how to do it. We learnt how to stir-fry, and many tips that the cook gave us to make Thai dishes taste like from a restaurant. We spent there 4 hours (less than indicated, because we were just two) and cooked 5 dishes that we ate one after the other, in between cooking. Useful tip: skip breakfast or lunch! Then you enjoy the whole thing fully :)

This was a really well-organised class. Everyone chose their own menu so you get to learn how to make the food you choose plus you can watch other people in the class making different things. At the end you get a little recipe book with all the dishes included.
The recipes were simple and straightforward, and Noodle and her assistants were very attentive so my lack of cooking experience didn’t matter.
Between the class and the market tour I left feeling I knew more about Thai cooking and ingredients.

The process of making Thai food myself and eating it was interesting. The class guide was kind and the furniture was clean. However, it was not indoors, but too hot, and the amount of food was large compared to the time, so it was a pity that I couldn't eat it all.

We met another couple in Chiang Mai who recommended this cooking school after attending earlier in the week. We sent a facebook message and Noodle replied within minutes. We were so lucky that we were accommodated to schedule the evening before for the next morning. The Annual Flower Festival was running that morning, so we were informed that due to road closures we would not be able to go to the market. We of course still booked and were even given aprons to take home because we missed the market.
It was just the two of us so we got a VIP experience, with some friendly competition. Rut was genuinely funny while also teaching us a lot about the various ingredients.
We went to Thai Farm Cooking School a couple of years ago. We enjoyed exploring their organic farm and outdoor cooking space, but loved Yummy Tasty more since we could choose to each cook different meals and had the best instructor, who taught us to make the best Massaman Curry we've had! The location right in Old Town was great too.
We left with huge smiles, wishing our tummys could stay and eat more. Definitely recommend.

Along with my hard of hearing 86 year old mum and sister we were collected on time and headed for market after just one stop to collect a couple with their adorable 4 year old daughter - so all ages catered for, included and activities adapted to suit.
From start to finish it was a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of time to produce and eat delicious food. Excellent organisation, informative, fun and friendly class in a very clean working environment. Hot/soft drinks and snacks provided.
Noodle is a patient, fun teacher; both her and her team spoke excellent English and she was helpful in giving suggestions for replacement ingredients if difficult to source back home.
Thoroughly recommend this experience with Noodle and team. We previously did a Thai cooking class when last in Thailand 10 months ago and Noodle’s was absolutely the best! Go hungry as you won’t be by the time you leave!

I did a cooking class with Noodle 3 years ago. I remembered how good it was and didn’t even bother to look up any others this visit. It was just as brilliant this time around. I especially love that each person can choose different dishes to cook based on your own likes and tastes. Noodle is friendly and clear with instructions and makes Thai cooking simple and pleasurable. Once again the food was delicious and I enjoyed every minute of this experience.

Fabulous time cooking. It was lovely seeing and buying all the fresh ingredients and finding out about many of the foods that I had seen in markets but hadn't known what they were. The course was so informative and great fun. Lovely host and we were made yo feel very welcome. Nothing was difficult and everything was at each individuals pace. We got to cook and taste 5 courses and were provided with cold water through out.

We spent a very enjoyable morning with this cooking school. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, we made 5 dishes and we left feeling very full. Suitable for both adults and children. My family and I enjoyed it very much. Fully recommend

We spent the morning together with “Noodle”, and had a fantastic time with the whole family: 3 of us where cooking while the two younger ones (9 and 11) enjoyed helping us and tasting the dishes! Noodle is a very friendly, smart and talented person, so you won’t regret spending a few hours with her, learning about preparing your favorite Thaï dishes. Definitely worth doing to get to know more about Thai culture, people and cuisine. Thank you so much Noodle :)

We really enjoyed our time at yummy tasty cooking class! Root was a brilliant teacher, very friendly and funny! Made lots of dishes and found the class very good for all levels! Going to the market first to get the groceries was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend yummy tasty if you are visiting Chiang Mai!!
