A rewarding day out in nature
My partner and I had a great day out up in the mountainous jungle with our lovely guide Tui. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning, signed in at the company office where we chose our route for the day and then were driven out to where we began our hike. Due to the rainfall the night before we did an alternative route but it was still enriching. Tui spoke to us about the native trees and plants and he kindly offered to take photos along the way. There are some steep and muddy parts of this trek, which require some stamina and a decent level of fitness. After a few hours we made it to the village (due to the time of the year the summit was closed) and then to a nearby restaurant for a local lunch. We enjoyed seeing the temples, soaking in nature and learning more about Thai culture. This was a great out of the city excursion and Tui was a fabulous guide!

        Unbelievable Experience 10/10
Wow, this trip was fantastic. So well organised and the guides were super friendly. I booked an evening Kayak session and although it was only me, it couldn’t have been any better. I was picked up from my hostel by the lovely Rin (driver) and Jane (Guide). They were very welcoming and we had some good chats before starting our kayaking. The kayaks were comfortable and the river Ping was easy to row on. This activity is suitable for beginners as I had only ever done stand up paddle boarding and I found it pretty easy. Jane was super knowledgeable about the history and culture of Chiang Mai, I learned a lot on this activity. As the sun started to set, the lights became so beautiful to row past. We waved by people enjoying their boat cruise or dinner in passing restaurants. It was a lovely experience. Jane had the most infectious personality, we were even singing songs as we rowed! At the end, Rin was awaiting us to help disembark the kayak and return me safely to my hostel. I can’t thank Jane and Rin enough for a wonderful experience in Chiang Mai.

        Highlight
This is probably going to stand out as a highlight of my trip although I’m still in Thailand! Our guide was so knowledgeable and throughout the whole experience which begins with the cave (which is also a temple so ladies bring something suitable to wear, I didn’t but they give you something to cover up with thankfully) he pointed out different creatures living in the cave and all about the rock formations and the history, the fish there. Really really good! Lunch. Kayaking next which you get a really good tutorial in before you go sailing off and I’d never kayaked before and I managed it no problem so you’re definitely in good hands. 100% recommend this!

        Take the Adventure Route!
My daughters & I had an awesome day with our guide A! It was only the 3 of us, so we were lucky to have him all to ourselves! Unfortunately the hike to the highest summit is closed right now, but we still hiked 2.5 miles and A said the elevation gain is about 800 meters. Very steep in sections! We brought along temple appropriate clothing (covered legs & shoulders) and put those on over hiking clothes along the way so we could visit the 2 temples. (And put them right back in our backpacks after!) A also took us to a village where we enjoyed local coffee and guided us on another hiking trail to a waterfall. Highly recommend!

        Absolutely amazing!!!
After booking I was immediately informed by the owner (Adon) that there will be a slight change to the route which was accepted. I was picked from my hotel by A (tour guide)and Rin (driver)really cool and welcoming guys. Cycling with A was amazing, it was cycling with a mate, we had so much fun and laughter that it didn’t seem like a tour. A’s friendly demeanour, character and knowledge are simply priceless. Overall, I’m glad I booked Chiang mai mountain biking and kayaking. Highly recommended!

        Fun day out
Great opportunity to try proper downhill MTB. Definitely not for the faint of heart as its a steep and bumpy ride. Fun day out all round. Would be better if there were larger option bikes available; they all seemed to be M size so it was difficult to pedal uphill on the few occasions that was needed.

        Recommended Operator and Tour
I highly rate this adventure tour operator and this tour. Starting with a well prepared orientation for the day at their office we had a 90 minute drive north. As we are older participants they were attentive to our needs and let us ride in the pickup truck cab. The cave visit was memorable. Cave ecology and the caves history as a Burmese monastery were explained. bats, snakes and spiders pointed out (no danger to us). It is a long walk with some narrow or low or slippery passages. Lunch was very plain. I wish we had been told there is a selection at the restaurant besides Pad Thai. The kayaking portion was also memorable. Good orientation. River never too swift but we still managed to capsize once. Khun Jojo was right there to help, but still I got my phone wet (you are warned). On the way back Khun Jojo kindly took us to a phone repair shop where the phone surgeon declared my phone DOA.

Great fun for all the family
This was our second guided tour during our time in Chiang Mai and another cracker. We were collected by Jen (our very friendly guide) from our hotel in the Old Town and after a good briefing of how to control a single person kayak plus being fitted for our buoyancy jackets we were on our way. The minivan was comfortable with air conditioning and our first stop was the caving at Chiang Dao. We saw loads of bats inside the caves, huntsman spiders and crickets together with some spectacular stalagmites and stalactites. There were some narrow passages to fit through (nothing too claustrophobic) which was part of the fun and Jen provided us with some historical facts on our way. After the caving we were treated to a nice Pad Thai lunch then on to kayaking. This was great fun and well supervised. It was very much at an easy pace and no sign of white water which made the whole experience very relaxed. We kayaked through some beautiful areas, stopped halfway on a sandbank for a cooling swim and break and completed the river section in just over 2 hours. Overall a great tour - big thanks to Jen and his fellow guide for a fun and friendly time 🙏

        A bit boring
Pick up was as planned. The kayak trip itself is fairly boring, very little to see along the way. For an inexperienced kayaker this would be quite hard, it is over 1 hour long.

        Don’t miss this tour!
Great tour of DOI Mountain temples with a fantastic mountain bike descent on the road from the top… at least 20 minutes (15 km). Lunch of Pad Thai was good, too!

        Excellent tour worth every penny
Jo-Jo our guide was exceptional - he was fun informative and engaging, in the caves he showed us the different forms of geological formations and made it really interesting. He also held a very large spider and by being so calm allowed us to hold it too which seemed incredible. To me a complete arachnophobe. The kayaking was just right and our guides were bery helpful and involved, I guess some of the comments directed about the young woman on the trip seemed a bit “off” but I genuinely think It was an attempt to be funny not meaning to be offensive. And certainly not something that would lose a star. One point the whole day is quite tiring so note that it says a reasonable level of fitness is required - I went with the England over 50’s international football team. And they snoozed all the way home!😯

        Beautiful Scenery full of Surprises
This super exceeded our expectations. The wait in the morning for the kayaking lesson had to have been the only negative but is required. It's over an hour's drive to The Caves. It's beautiful, it is a temple, so ladies do have to cover up. There were a lot of self-exploration opportunities and it's a pretty slippery and dark space with some crawl spaces and neat temple items. Lunch is served after the cave - Pad Thai a short walk outside of the caves. The kayaking launch was only 15 or mins from the lunch spot. The guides did an awesome job with this! We loved the scenery and this was a highlight from our entire trip to Thailand.

        Great ride in Chiang Mai.
I had a fantastic day of riding with Bas-definitely was a challenge, but Bas was a capable and knowledgeable guide, and we had a blast! Although you are descending from a mountaintop, there are certainly some tough climbs as well. We had several short stops to admire the scenery and look at the foliage, but there was several hours of riding. We enjoyed a lakeside lunch, and then rode the 15kms into town and back to the shop.
