Come hungry for local knowledge and delicious food!
This was a trip highlight! Getting insight into not only some of the most delicious, most accessible food in Chiang Mai, but also guidance on where to find the "best" of something in a sea of possibility gave such confidence in shopping local markets and food stands that I can't recommend it enough! Not only that, but you get to try so many things you'll be stuffed by the end. More experienced, more satisfied!

          Love it!
All I ate was street food while I was here, don't bother with restaurants unless your on a date ha ha. Seriously the street food is top end! Low prices bursting with flavours and you can watch them cook it and ask questions about how they do it. The street market at thappae gate is huge, There's loads of food sections in there. Highly recommended 👍

Really friendly guide and fantastic food
The guide was very friendly, spoke excellent English and knew all there is to know about Thai food. This is a great way to see the town, I’ve never eaten so much before midday!

          A taste of Thailand
A great evening spent exploring the night markets, eating freshly cooked delicious food and learning a little bit of Thai to enable us to order our own food. Our guide Jay was excellent and made the experience great for us all. Well worth doing if you want to experience authentic Thai food.

          So Much Good Food!
My sister and I were paired with a young Canadian couple on our trip through the street food market. Our guide, Jae, was great and helped us learn how to order our food in Thai, as well as pointing out specific Thai dishes that were unique to the area, and helping us try them. We had interesting conversation and probably 3 more dinners than we needed (pace yourself and come hungry). The food was the best we had on our two week trip and the ability to order in Thai was helpful when going out to some of the less touristy areas. A highlight of the trip and definitely a top recommendation.

Lots of fun, lots of food
This was a really enjoyable way to get to know Chiang Mai’s street food scene. Guide was fun, helpful, and spoke very good English. We tried so many dishes, I lost count. Try to do this on your first day in town because it’s a good orientation.

          Best Tour for street food.
This was a great experience. The guide was brilliant, giving us a sheet with the names of the food on it and how to ask for it. He was helpful and got us to order stuff in Thai at the various places we went too. The food and the experience was great, made that much better with the guide we had.

          A great place to start
We booked this trip at the start of our holiday and were so glad we did. Sam was our guide and he arranged for us to try a number of dishes which were all delicious. He took account of the our vegetarian needs and helped us with understanding how to get the best Thai food from street stalls. A fun night with a lovely group of people.

Nice way to spend an evening
I'd much rather be experiencing food and culture rather than museums, so this was right up my street! The guide picked me up and dropped me off right to the hotel. We tried a variety of dishes, and I have gone away with a few personal favourites. A good way to experience and learn.

He was very informative and humorous, and was genuinely interested in our enjoying the experience. We highly recommend this tour with our guide.

          Unenthusiastic guide
The food was good, but the guide was unenthusiastic and distant. He spent literally most of the time on his phone, and did not smile once.

Our guide spoke very good English and was full of information about the history of the city as well as the food markets and individual dishes. A special dish of Yum Gai Saep, a version of the crispy chicken with salad prepared to a recipe known only to one wonderful lady at the first market, was a revelation. We would never have tried such a vast variety of dishes if we hadn’t gone for tris tour. Good stuff!

We had a group of 8 and at each station would get to know someone new and share our travel experience. Some foodies and some just learning about variety of Thai food.
Guide very helpful and helped us understand what to avoid as well as what was one of a kind. Highly recommend.

We went on this food tour over the holidays. There were no time slots left so I called and they happily got my family in. Our tour guide was Jay. He’s AMAZING! He took us to the best food vendors. Make sure you are hungry, it’s a lot of food. He explained all the food and the culture and language. We asked him what we should see in the city and he told us he was a tour guide too. He picked us up the next day and took us all around for 8 hours. Recommended all the best spots, explained the culture/significance, took us to lunch and did it all on our time preferences. The next night he took my husband and son to a Thai boxing fight only because my husband happen to inquire about it! He really went out of his way to make our experience one to remember. Thanks Jay!!

I really enjoyed this street tour. Sunny was fun, professional and well informed, and gave us loads of useful info and Thai language tips as well as getting us to try lots of delicious food. These ranged from Thai classics to local specialties we might not know about or be brave enough to try ourselves. He made a good effort to order plenty of meat-free options for our vegetarian group member.
I've visited Thailand several times so the classics were familiar to me, but most of my group were first time visitors to Thailand so it made good sense to include some of them (and I'm certainly not complaining, so delicious!). But there was plenty of new and different food for me too, and the tour pushed me to be braver around Thai chillies :-)
I definitely recommend this if you are staying in Chiang Mai

The experience from the moment they pick you up till they drop you at the end of trip it’s over the moon experience. Sunny is so experienced and knows very well how to make the customer happy and he is such a big asset for his company and who has smile on his face and a very polite gesture.
Talking about the trip they will make you try zillions of delicious items until you say it’s enough and the markets they take you have a different feeling with an absolute mouth watering aroma which makes you to go extra mile to eat even if you are pretty full. A must do trip in Chiang mai.
Tip: Start to have little bit of everything because tasting even a few will make you full and will have regret not trying the rest that’s how much tasty every item is and of course credit goes to this company.

Sonny was an amazing tour guide and the food was exceptional. You even get little introduction into ordering food in Thai which will help when you go back to all the delicious street vendors by yourself. Thank you for the great time Sonny!

We were picked up at our hotel and taken to 2 different street food markets. We at 8 or 10 different entrees and 3 desserts. The food was delicious. One of the stalls was “Cowboy Hat Lady.” She was featured on an episode of Parts Unknown. She cooked a roast pork dish that was dynamite. The guide was lovely and knowledgeable. The other young people on the tour were fun to hang out with. All in all a great way to taste lots of delicious bites.

Chiang Mai Street Tour was a perfect way for me to kick off visiting a new city and meeting a solid group. You definitely get your moneys worth and your taste buds will love the overload in the local flavors.

Tee the tour guide was phenomenal. One of the best. Coolest part was he taught us the Thai way of ordering the dishes, and had us practice it over and over to order it confidently with the food vendor. Very great experience overall.

We had a blast on this tour! Jay was a great guide. He was funny, friendly, and knowledgeable about local foods. He was also super considerate of people's preferences regarding spice or any dietary restrictions.

The food was awesome and there was a ton of it. By the end of the night I couldn't even fathom eating more. We tried everything from noodles, soups, and curries to chicken feet, durian, and other novelties. Desserts were super tasty - the best mango sticky rice we had in Thailand along with some delicious banana spring rolls and sweet roti.

We had so much fun that we ended up joining Jay for a couple of beers after the tour.

Highly recommend this if you're ready to be open minded and experience something truly local.

A very informative tour. There was ample food for everyone, some not so much to my liking, but I’m a little bit picky.
We took the tour on our first night in the city and it gave us confidence to be able to eat street food at almost every meal, in Chiang Mei and also to hunt it out in Bangkok.
We would recommend this tour if you are interested in eating authentic food.
