- Amy F00Definitely a highlight of my trip! 😊Just like someone else has previously commented, I can’t believe this doesn’t have more reviews! I honestly did not stop smiling for the entire two hours. The team picked us up from our hotel promptly at 6pm and this went so smoothly. We climbed aboard and went to their head officer, where we had a choice of double or single kayak and were fitted with life jackets. We were then joined by the rest of the people who had booked our time slot and went on about a 15 minute drive to the entry point of the Ping River. Aiden gave us a quick tips and tricks lesson on how best to use our paddles, and then we were all given lights for our life jackets, kayaks and some head torches. We were launched into the water with no troubles and we set off. My husband and I paddled up the front of the group with Tony, another member of the team, who was super friendly and helpful, helping me get my head torch on the right setting, and pointing out some keys points of interest on the river, like this area where many cute birds nest under a bridge. The route was so great, it was like nothing I’ve ever done. It was initially so calm and tranquil , and gradually it got more colourful and lively as we got closer to the city. We saw tiny bats flying over the water trying to catch bugs, and got to see fireworks going off on either side of the river as we visited during Lantern Festival time. The entire two hours on the river, we only encountered one river cruise boat and we simply just moved to the side to let it pass - we pretty much had the whole river to ourselves. If you’ve never kayaked before or wanted to do something gentle and chill, this is perfect for you. It was really memorable and honestly a highlight of my trip, I’m so glad we booked it! The team were also very communicative- I messaged them during the day to check what clothing would be best and they got back to me straight away. We visited in November and put on lots of bug spray thinking there would be heaps of mosquitoes but we didn’t see any! 10/10 experience, thank you to the team!
- 872chelseay00ExcursionHad a lot of fun during this excursion. The groups tour guides were very interactive with the group.
- W5621TIjosephh00Amazing Hike!Brilliant tour, A expertly guided us on a hike up the Monks Trail past beautiful temples, waterfalls and views. A was great at answering our questions and so helpful! Highly recommend!
- Curious5654615900100My best experience in Chiang Mai. Very well organised tour. Highly recommend.Best experience in Chiang Mai for me personally. Definitely worth are price. The cave is amazing. The kayaking on the river is so much fun, so enjoyable, and very safe. Everything was really great! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone! The only thing I would suggest to the tour organisers - it would be a good idea to offer mosquito repellant (and sunscreen) for free to the tour participants. Just add the $2 cost into the tour price. I forgot mine at the hotel and had to buy (and then carry) those bottles just for a single spray… simply inconvenient. And I wasn’t the only one. Otherwise all perfect!
- 328dannyg005 star way to see Chiang MaiExcellent friendly and helpful staff. Great bikes, including e-bikes. Lovely way to see the city and we felt very safe even in traffic thanks to the staff. Thanks to Jane and Art were terrific.
- 1seetheworld00Cave Exploring and River Kayak AdventureWe had never kayaked before and we're a bit nervous for that part of the trip. Our guide was amazing and a great teacher, really put us at ease and made us feel very safe. The river kayak trip after exploring the caves was perfect! We also stopped at a hole in the wall place for lunch that was one of our favorite meals!! Ten out of ten would recommend and do it again.
- Gregory Kim L00Guide was tremendous,Guide and office were knowledgeable, patient, friendly, skillful, helpful and capable. We recommend this activity to those looking for a real outdoor view of Thailand mountains and people.
- jtsurumo00Great experience! This experience is well worth the money. Our guides were very knowledgeable and helpful along the way. You kayak through the jungle and down the river, which is moving at a pace, but it's not bad. My girlfriend and I have kayaked before, so we weren't worried, but there was a couple with us who were beginners, and they did just fine. The caves were really cool with lots of bats. Lunch was amazing at some little side of the road restaurant. So good. Would recommend this tour for any age.
- DINGJIE X00The outdoor activity you can’t miss in ChiangmaiI was wondering if I can bring my 8-year-old daughter to join the cave and kayaking tour. It has been proven to be the best choice for kids in Thailand travel. We embarked on a natural cave adventure, visiting a well-protected cave that is less affected by human activity. Kayaking was a new activity for my whole family, and there was a brief nervous period, but it didn't last long. We all enjoyed it very much, and the kids did well. We greatly appreciate our three guides who provided us with a wealth of natural and historical knowledge. They were very kind and humble.
- 790corac00Great Day of fun and adventureThis was a fantastic experience. Both guides spoke English well and were encouraging and fun to be with I LOVED the time on the river and seeing the jungle in its natural state The time in the cave was incredible, and the Wat going into the caves was beautiful I think everyone should do this. Be aware that it was almost a two hour drive both ways to get to the site…. And well worth it!!!!!! Most things in Chiangmai are outside the city
- H9984UZsarahh00Complete natureThere were several bird sightings. The guides spoke wonderful English. The equipment was great. We only saw a water Buffalo farm and a fishers shack in terms of structures - it was so lush!
- cjames94400Great experienceNice experience. Friendly and chatty staff, happy to answer questions about the area and Thailand. Smooth process throughout.
- g8torken200Fantastic trip. Make sure your fitness level is good. This was very fun and challenging. The trip was very well organized and seamless. The equipment was premium. The guide Tui was very helpful and mindful of my safety at all times. This is not a trip for the faint hearted. Make sure you have a reasonable fitness level. The hike to the top of the mountain was breathtaking. The mountain bike ride to the bottom was the perfect adrenaline rush . If you are lucky to get Tui as your guide, you will have the perfect day. Big treat at the of the trip.
- Carrie T00Worth your time!Really awesome experience! The caves were fun as well as the kayaking! The tour guide was knowledgeable about where we were going and was very helpful with how to get through certain parts of the river while kayaking! Great day!
- ambervK7057FD00Worth it!Seeing the cave was wonderful! The guide explained a lot about the system and why there was a difference in the formations. But the kayakking was the real highlight there were 3 guides to our group of 10 people and they made sure we knew how to paddle and where to be in the water at all times. Even though it is a bit expensive, its worth it!

Just finished a full day kayaking down the river. Our guide was spot on, great teacher and I learned lots. Got my confidence built right up before getting too far down the river.
Took lots of pictures and helped us through any tough spots. Have very little kayaking experience I would highly recommend everyone to do this tour... it’s the best way to see the jungle.... passed lots of elephants and had a good lunch at the half way point!
Will be doing another advanced tour in my future
Also you can grab an amazing cup of coffee in the morning from the little shop across the parking lot
10 stars if it would let me !!!!! Don’t leave Chiang Mai without doing this tour !!!!

We had great day kayaking down the Mae Wang river today. After pickup at the hotel we were driven to the office downtown. We were given a good, humorous and thorough safety briefing.
The drive up to the river in the red truck was a nice way to meet the group of (in our case) 7 people and 3 guides.
The kayak down the river had some interesting challenges some which resulted in a refreshing dip in the river. Guides were always around to help you out and get you on your way again.
We saw multiple elephants on our way down and the nature floating by us very relaxing. If you are looking for a safe ride with a few thrilling twists, this is the one.
