About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 283jilll0 contributionsA long worthwhile day.Our guide Kat was wonderful and spent a long, full day showing us this beautiful area! We enjoyed being away from crowds and seeing the countryside on the way to and from Pupadang Lampang Temple. Views are spectacular but be ready to climb some stairs!Written December 15, 2024
- Maps7703990 contributionsExcellent time and guides!I'm on my bucket list and we had an excellent time, lots of zip lines and great fun. Q and Pa were amazing tour guides and funny to go with it, even in the mid day heat 🥵 🔥 😆 and humidity. I will definitely go again. Thank you, Jeni Jeynes xWritten November 14, 2024
- HomebodyMami0 contributionsGreat bang for my buck. This activity combined everything I wanted to do before leaving Chiang Mai. I was surprised to see I was the only one on the tour as a solo traveler. That’s never happened before on any of my TripAdvisor bookings, but I didn’t mind it. I didn’t have to wait in line for anything lol. The tour itself felt more like having a personal driver.. she didn’t say much of anything other than where we were going. You probably won’t be instructed to get down to your bathing suit, or of opportunities to buy souvenirs. You must take the reins yourself for those things. Lunch was provided and good. I also got lucky to see the elephants bathing and nearly mating where I stopped to eat after the rafting. The views were beautiful. Overall an EXCELLENT experience that I will always treasure.Written July 15, 2024
- ahmads9520 contributionsSkip the zipline!!Skip the zipline experience, really underwhelming. It felt like a budget backyard setup rather than a zipline experience in the jungle. Elephant sanctuary was okay but rushed and rafting was fun. Trip was 6 hours instead of 8 hours. Not worth the money.Written July 9, 2024
- OnAir098995167980 contributionsExcellent experience with super friendly people. So much fun. I highly recommend this trip. Beautiful scenery and super friendly staff at every location.the Atvs were easy to ride and the track we went around wasn’t too difficult but it was still so much fun. The elephants were friendly and had a good attitude towards us. You can tell they’re looked after really well and the site care about their wellbeing. The white water rafting was calm because of the low water level but our guide was funny and the local children were happy to see us and have water fight as we passed. Couldn’t ask for a better trip.Written May 3, 2024
- rosariopN4793OU0 contributionsGreat experienceKat was an excellent tour guide. I advise this excursion to the people who want to try something new and away from the classic tour guides in Chiang MaiWritten March 9, 2024
- Natasha R0 contributionsPretty good tripWas a good day. Just a shame there wasn't an option to look around thebkaren village after ziplining. Also a buffet lunch was advertised but this was not the case. If you go during the dry season be prepared for some very tame white water rafting. My driver was very nice and took photos for me being a solo traveler.Written January 1, 2024
- montheph0 contributionsExtremely disappointed…I thought long and hard on whether or not I should give a review on this. I am a life-long Buddhist spending decades in USA and wanting to reintroduce my kids to monk-guided mediation with proper principles and good environment. The monk himself was fine and very impressive with communication skill and knowledge. However, everything else that could have gone wrong in this tour did go wrong spectacularly…. 😞 The guide must have been her day 1 on the job with very limited language skill and procedural knowledge of this tour. The guests including me were left bewildered of what to do next after one thing completed. She didn’t know where the bathroom was in the temple. She didn’t know where we should sit down and do meditation. The location was great and scenic. But, instead of guiding us to meditate by the waterfall as shown in the advertisement, she let us sit on ant-infested location. Ants were climbing on my body the whole time I was trying to meditate…. I was traumatized. She didn’t know where we should walk to from one place after another leaving guests separated and wondering around aimlessly without knowing what they are seeing and why they were there. I could have guided this tour myself better if given one or two day of practice. She offered to take pictures for me with her camera, and then never actually got in touch with me to explain how to download the photos taken after the end of the day. I only had a very few pictures on my camera to see. Majority of pictures taken by her camera were gone with her driven away. Had I known this, I would have taken all the photos myself. It was a disaster in almost every way possible. I am saying all this not intending to make the guide lose her job. But, the fault is on the tour operator to begin with, not just on the new guide. If the tour operator were going to introduce the guide on his/her job on day 1, the new guide should have had an opportunity to shadow a more experienced guide during the actual trip for at least one day to understand the procedures, what-to-do, and what-not-do in general. This tour needs a massive improvement. Sorely disappointed..Written December 24, 2023
- Meander583365507610 contributionsWoohoo! What a fun day! This was a great day! I really enjoyed the ATV, River Rafting and Sticky Waterfall. The zip line was also great but I’m afraid of heights. I do wish we had a little more time to browse the vendors booths at Long Neck Karen. Definitely recommend this tour!! Our groups had people ages 6years - 40ish.Written December 24, 2023
- supramc0 contributions3 in 1I liked the activity which includes 1h more or less of everything: ATV excursion, visiting and feeding elephants, rafting also we had a lunch and transportation allday. The quality of the ATV is really poor, but mostly usefull. I would expect more from ATV also an adventurous excursionWritten December 4, 2023
- Resort366925619930 contributionsGreat trip but unorganised!Overall it was a great trip and Pai is absolutely stunning! However, the reason why I can only give 3 stars is that the travel agency sold this tour wrong and there was a massive miscommunication between the agency and the driver. Basically me and my friend thought this was an actual tour where there was a tour guide and where the route was fairly organised and where there were things, such as lunch, included. Unfortunately, the driver didn't know that there was lunch or water included as the travel agency stated. Then the route itself was a bit unclear as well to the driver. Once in Pai we had to navigate him to the attractions as he didn't know the way. He basically thought that he only needs to drop us off at Pai and that's it. After we showed him our ticket and what's included he rang the travel agency and they luckily confirmed to him that lunch was included and he paid for us. Nonetheless the driver was very lovely and friendly and we had great conversations with him. By the end of the day it was not his fault that the agency didn't communicate the features of the tour to him and he was also very reliable, waited for us at the stops, and gave us enough time. To improve this tour, I would recommend to the travel agency that they communicate with the drivers well, provide clear driving instructions/maps, and that they update their tour description if there is only a booked driver and not a tour guide included.Written April 4, 2023
- hujie-jh0 contributionsFun day but be ready for long ride on back of pickup truckOverall a great experience. Enjoyed each of the activities and it was a blast for our five-year old son. Just the right amount of time with elephants, rafting, and zip lining. Staff were warm, professional, and ran each part well. Scenic area area a bit north of Chiang Mai. One major complaint and one minor one. We were transported over an hour on back of a pickup truck. It didn't feel safe and we wouldn't have agreed to it in advance. Also the lunch, while tasty, was a pot of pad thai—delicious but not quite the buffet advertised.Written January 19, 2023
- YaniG6200 contributionsAwesome relaxation excursionOur guide was funny, kind and very accommodating. The temple was situated in a serene mountainside with waterfalls and dense vegetation, the perfect place for meditation. The monk who sat and spoke with us was very informative, compassionate and patient - we asked a lot of questions! I highly recommend this for anyone looking to relax and wanting an introduction to Buddhism and mediation.Written December 31, 2022
- sanderj9590 contributionsDON'T BOOK THIS TOUR, THIS IS A SCAM!DON'T BOOK THIS TOUR THIS IS A SCAM! First of all, it is stated that the tour includes an English tour guide. However, there was NOBODY who spoke English with us, there was only a driver who did not speak a word English. So we did not receive any information he dropped us and then pointed and thats it. Then the activities. The ziplining is NOT through the jungle, it is just above the ground through some trees (it was like the kids area of ziplining). Then the elephant sanctuary. Again nobody who spoke a word with us. We gave some food to an elephant then walked with it and thats it. So no 2 hours but 30 minutes. Then the white water rafting. We were not allowed to paddle or something (we were only allowed to paddle for a few minutes), so we just sat in the boat. Only 2 rough parts the rest was just boring. We chose this tour as it would have 80 minutes of white water rafting, but this was in reality only 35 minutes.... Oh and ofcourse the lunch was not a buffet with soft drinks, tea, coffee and several fruits, but just Pad Thai. So not even close to what we booked and paid for. The pictures on tripadvisor are not the picture of this tour. We were with 2 other people and they also didn't enjoy the tour and agreed that this was a scam. We paid pretty much for this but we definitely did not get what we booked and paid for....Written December 14, 2022
- Luonna B0 contributionsGet out of town! ;)We loved this tour with Mam! We like to get away from the typical crowded touristy spots. Climbing the 736 stairs to the top led us to the most authentic feeling temples we have seen. The views are incredible. Mam is so kind and energetic! She made it very enjoyable. And thank goodness she is a good driver as the drive is very long and difficult, especially the mountain jungle roads. There were some good stops along the way. Other highlights included speaking with a monk, cooking eggs in the hot springs, and an easy hike to a waterfall.Written November 29, 2022
