About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- redheadamanda0 contributionsGreat way to see the real BangkokMy husband, 14 year old son and I went on the Bangkok bike today and absolutely loved it. 3 hours flew by and the whole thing was perfectly paced with lots of stops along the way for photos and water breaks. So wonderful to see the 'real' Bangkok outside the usual tourist attractions. One of the best things I've done in my 5 times to Bangkok, highly recommended!Written October 4, 2023
- Patrick Y0 contributionsAwesome experienceTommy & his girlfriend were wonderful. Friendly, Great energy & Professional. We got to explore the hidden streets of Bangkok & learnt about the history & culture of this amazing city. When I return to Bangkok, I will definitely be coming back. I recommend anyone who wants to truly view an authentic side of this city from an experienced tour guide, to book a tour with Tommy. You will not be disappointed! Thanks Tommy!Written July 23, 2023
- Meander292360867480 contributionsA different perspective on Bangkok!Cannot recommend a better way to spend an afternoon in Bangkok! Away from the hustle and bustle we got a little taste of local life as we took a ride along back streets, made stops at some of the many wats, a bustling local food market, the railway, the river and greeted lots of friendly faces along the way. Tommy is a great tour guide and we loved hearing about his family and how he started his cycling tours! He also recommended a great coffee spot for us to grab a drink as we arrived a little early. A really great experience that will give you a completely different outlook on Bangkok!Written July 13, 2023
- MANOS K0 contributionsGreat experiencePrayut is a great guy and a great guide. By far the best bike experience I've had in Bangkok so far. I really liked the route we took that allowed us to see many different faces of Bangkok.Written May 3, 2023
- Siti Fatimah K0 contributionsTravel like a localWorth every bath. Mr prayuth takes you on an adventure cycling through the back alleys, small narrow roads, towards the temple, the big Buddha, greet the locals, he also shared the local history, how to pray, local delicacy. Easy to get to the shop via BTS. They make sure you are safe, especially when. Crossing the major road during heavy traffic. The bike ride was breeze except when going uphill on the bridge. The weather was brutally hot. Make sure lots of sunscreen, wear your hat and shades.Written April 29, 2023
- vicksy19920 contributionsOff the beaten track on a comfy bikeIf you want to cycle on a very comfortable bike through neighbourhoods you would never been, this is your tour! Along the way Prayuht will tell you (fun) facts about Thai culture you'll never forget!Written March 19, 2023
- Nussman0 contributionsRelaxing, informative ride along a route only a longtime local could know.Excellent experience. Bikes were good quality in good condition and comfortable. Tour guide’s English was very good so I learned some interesting facts that I would not have otherwise. The route was along paths only someone who has lived in the area for a long time could know, almost completely avoiding main streets, off the beaten track.Written March 16, 2023
- axt20220 contributionsBest way to see real Bangkok beside tourist standardsIf you want to see real life in Bangkok this is the best option to go...or ride. The tour passes areas, roads, channels, bridges and tiny narrow paths you never would find on your own. Trust Prayuth to show his home area and the people living there. You will love it!Written March 13, 2023
- Elle S0 contributionsGreat experienceReally great tour! The bikes were easy to ride and the route was through quiet back streets and along canals - the stops were all really interesting and it was an ideal length. Plenty of pauses for information and water breaks. Definitely recommend!Written February 23, 2023
- Z4799MXdenisec0 contributionsGreat experience!Lovely bike tour! We chose to do this on our first day and got to see a lot of the city by bike. The tour guide is really nice and shows a lot of local places!Written February 16, 2023
- 911RelaxTravel0 contributionsSuper Fun Bike Tour through the BangkokThis is a trip on bicycles through neighborhoods and temples across the river. Sometimes the path is quite narrow so you need to make sure you can balance. We started at 2 and ended at 5.Written February 7, 2023

- Gitarrendave0 contributionsRelaxed bike tour with nice impressionsVery nice bike tour to see parts of Bangkok I wouldn't have explored by myself. You get a very nice impression of the local live in less touristic areas of Bangkok. Tommy is such a kind tour guide and always took care of our safety. Bikes were new and comfortable to ride. I can absolutely recommend this bike tour!Written January 18, 2023
- meyerhja0 contributionsFantastic view if local lifeWonderful bike tour of Bangkok, through local streets and seeing local life. Easy, sedate bike tour - good for all skill levels. We went through neighbourhoods that are undergoing lots of change, learning about modern Bangkok life. We saw banana and mango fields that are still in use. We stopped at temples and learnt interesting information about Buddism. We ate at a local market for a quick snack :) As a solo female traveller, I would definitely recommend!Written January 5, 2023
- Schicki_II0 contributionsSee the real lifeNice tour where you see not the typical tourist attractions. Interesting to see 👍👍👍 Next time againWritten December 29, 2022

We took the bike tour with our three children. The trip took about three hours, mostly on small and calm streets. There was a small (20 inch) bike for my 10 year old son and a child seat for my 6 year old. Our guide, Prayuth, was very kind and helpful. He took care that we are comfortable and at ease. Along the way we stopped to try some delicious street food and traditional Thai snacks. We rode along small alleys with houses and saw how local people lived. We also stopped at multiple temples and monuments. We learnt a lot of interesting things about local culture and way of life of Thai people. All five of us agreed at the end of the tour that it was a great experience. We recommend it for all who’d like to see a bit of Bangkok beyond main tourist attractions and glitzy shopping malls.

It was obvious that he was trying to do his best, but the information that was provided and the scenery was quite poor. It is more or less just a bike ride (with quite expensive 3 hour hire of bikes). I would rather have more frequent stops during the tour, cover less ground, and get more info on the history/background. We didn’t learn much. Otherwise, great guy, cares after the whole group and ensures that everyone's feeling good and safe. Would recommend if you’re searching for something to wind down after already being in Bangkok for some time and seeing all of the touristy stuff

I booked this tour as I wanted to experience a different part of BKK and I was so amazed by the outcome. First off, Prayuth the guru was able to add 2 friends of mine last minute, so we could enjoy the ride together. Bikes are new, the guru is really knowledgeable and he brought us to places I would never experience on my own probably. Prayuth showed excitement and preparation while guiding us through and we all felt safe the few moments we had to take main traffic roads. Thanks Prayuth. Till next time!

Prayuth, the owner of Candbike Bangkok Tours, who led the tour, was a helpful, cheerful & knowledgeable guide. He knows the area so well, with very many locals calling out hello as we cycled around the laneways, byways, and roadsides and stopped at various spots for photos and a chat about the history and the stories. We also had a nice drink/snack ( buy your own) break at a tiny local mini shop to enjoy the peace & serenity that is found in backstreets of the city. Highly recommended as a great way to see more of Bangkok and learn about the changes over 100's of years. Prayuth takes direct bookings if you search for the tour, which will ensure he can continue to provide this very worthwhile activity that is easy & fun.

This bike tour is a must do in Bangkok. Prayuth is a lovely guy just starting up on his own but with a wealth of experience as a tour guide for other companies. I have been on other bike tours over the years in Bangkok but this one is special. A small group and you really do get to see the real local areas which are magical and well off the tourist trail. I did the 3 hour trip which was at a lovely gentle pace suitable for all ages with very little cycling on busy roads. You see temples and local markets as well as local soi alleys bursting with life and industry. Prayuth was very kind at the end to make sure I was safely in a taxi back to my hotel too.
I DEFINITELY recommend this as a good price and great locations. Best way to discover the real Bangkok!

We had a wonderful experience and got to see where many locals live, outside of the busy, more modern city. Our tour guide “Tommy” was excellent and planned stops at various temples, a food market, and even stopped for us to buy some fruits from a riverboat vendor. He was very informative and gave us interesting history as well. Highly recommend!

This is a n unique opportunity to see Bangkok off the beaten path. The trip was amazing, bikes were new and in great condition, tempo was not demanding so even if you are not in the best shape, you will enjoy it.
The best part of the trip is Prayuth, who is the best guide you can possibly imagine. You will lear a lot about Thai culture, history of Bangkok and everyday life of Bangkok people. Truly amazing experience!

Awesome, must do while in Bangkok! See authentic neighborhoods and local people selling/buying food. We had an amazing time riding through the local areas. He stopped at a few places, temples and little food stalls. Our guide PRAYUTH (a.k.a. Tommy) would give some of the locals treats along the way and they would give him, a real community. Also saw the train. A ton of fun!

My outing with Prayuth of Candbike Bangkok Tours was the highlight of my time in Bangkok. First off, Prayuth, the tour guide, was such a nice guy, such a friendly, easygoing fellow who made it such a pleasurable experience. You get to see and experience back streets and alleyways and neighborhoods that a tourist wouldn't usually encounter. The bicycle riding is done at a leisurely pace, and Prayuth is great about making sure to watch out for other cars and motorbikes, ensuring a safe, enjoyable trip. Prayuth was also great about providing much interesting information and history about the local areas. I would highly recommend that anyone visiting Bangkok take the bicycling tour with Prayuth and Candbike Bangkok Tours.

I did not imagine having such a nice bike tour in this busy city. But Prayuth showed us it’s possible. Small groups, super nice bikes, stops from time to time to sample some of the best streetfood I had here so far. We drove some cute narrow streets and saw the real Neighborhood life- not touristic at all. I was so surprised to discover some green places in Bangkok which seemed like a little village and not a big capital. So so good! Loved it!

Me and my wife are planning to join this tour at the day we arrive in Bangkok, but we want to know if it's a tour that demands lots of energy or if we're going to finish it without struggling.
(we'll take flights with more than 12 hours).
Thanks!
