Great food and a fantastic romantic dinner cruise.
Excellent, romantic and peaceful dinner cruise. The cruise started off when we arrived at the hotel (Via a Grab taxi) and was welcomed with drinks and nibbles. Once the boat was ready we were invited to join. All the tables were outward facing and very picturesque. The service was exceptional, the staff were pointing out landmarks along the way such as Wat Arun etc. There is several cruise operator's on the river however I was glad that I booked this as it was table service, not a buffet and it was a nice romantic peaceful relaxed dinner cruise which was perfect for our anniversary dinner.

          Bangkok
It was fun. Food tasted good, but it was super touristy. No flavor or spice. The entertainment was a band who at best played like a school band and two singers who sang cover songs but the couldn’t hold a tone. They came across as good at making a party and the guests seems to find them funny overall. We sat on the upper deck and had a great view of the city. It was a good time, but why not get someone who can sing and play is beyond me.

Cruise featuring amazing views & talented musicians
This was an amazing and unforgettable experience that may turn out to be the highlight of my whole trip. The nighttime views from the river were magnificent, and the music performers not only were truly talented, but also they had different performers take turns so the music was there for the entire experience!! The food was pretty good for being buffet style, but the experience is the reason to go! Also, there is assigned seating, which isn't clear if you book through Tripadvisor, so watch out for that!

Recommended evening family activity in Bangkok
My son and I were in Bangkok in December 2024. We come from Sydney, Australia. I took him for the Dinner & Cruise on the Chao Phraya River which we both enjoyed very much. This was my second time on the same Dinner & Cruise, having done this on a previous visit to Bangkok. The food was great, as well as the on-board entertainment. Bangkok is very pretty on the river at night with the riverside lit up, and this is a recommend activity for families.

          Loved it
The experience of the White Orchid cruise was the most memorable part of our trip. We booked the evening cruise starting at 5:30 PM and queued up near the designated pier at Iconsiam Mall. It’s advisable to reach the pier early, considering the crowded area and the time it takes to navigate through the mall. The staff on the ground was extremely helpful, guiding us at every step until we boarded the cruise. Within the first five minutes of the cruise, the food was served, and the beer counter was open. I particularly loved the dessert corner with its variety of choices, but my favorite was the chocolate pastry. My mother, who gets seasick, had ice cream and fruit salad. She complimented the inclusion of dragon fruit, which is her favorite. The food served was mainly Asian-style, and it was extremely delicious. The best part was that the food was abundant and restocked throughout the cruise. My father truly enjoyed the unlimited supply of beer, and my sister delighted in her ice cream. The scenic beauty, as the warm sun slowly submerged into the horizon and the glittering lights of the city filled the sky, will be a memory engraved in my mind. The cruise showcased the entire city on its journey, with the most dramatic scene being the rays of light illuminating Wat Arun. For entertainment, we were serenaded by a beautiful singer. Her voice and stage presence lit up the entire cruise. I loved how she included members of the audience as well. I also got to celebrate my birthday on deck, which was the highlight of my year. The cruise ended, but as we made our way back from the pier, I witnessed a mesmerizing performance by Zee (a Thai actor). This is definitely a great way to experience the city and should be on every tourist's list.

          Good night out
Food was good and singers upstairs really good near end of cruise when they got everyone involved ... no atmosphere downstairs as people were spread out ..be much better if everyone in same room The place to be is upstairs I work as a volunteer with wheelchair users and i thought it was a disgrace that an elderly person had to sit on stairs and shimmy down as no wheelchair lift available ..and had to be bodily lifted up thr stairs ..Surely on a boat this size a small lift could be installed . This boat not suitable for people with mobility issues as stairs are high.... But overall an enjoyable night .. Bangkok by night is fabulous

          Complete Ripoff!
The provider of this service has a 24 hour notice policy for any changes. Therefore, if you have a flight delay or cancellation while in route, they will not move your reservation to a new date or provide a refund. If they are going to operate in this industry, they should understand flight delays and cancelations are outside the customers control. They should be prepared for these circumstances and take care of the customer. It is a cost of doing business in the industry. This is not their policy. It is to keep you money and provide no service. I highly recommend avoiding this service provider.

We had a great family day. The rides are amazing. Recommend to visit snow land (winter land) before going to water park inside the Dream World. We could not take all the rides because of long ques but it is a must visit place.

Beautiful sites, could have been a better experience.
Sites were amazing. On board entertainment was lively. Food was better than average but not the reason for taking the cruise. The general experience is a must do, but I don't know if I would book the same provider or use Trip Advisor to book it. My concerns about the experience are the following: 1) too many people on the cruise and the flow of people are not well managed - I had to be assertive just to get on board and to the buffet line. I had to make my way to the top deck to see the sites but discovered no where for general viewing as every inch of deck space was a reserved table. 2) by booking through trip advisor I was not aware I could reserve a specific table. I ended up down stairs with a very limited view of the sites. So, I then had to venture upstairs (it was allowed even if you didn't have a table upstairs) in order to see the view.

The tour guide explained in great detail, the classic rich history and culture of the River Kwai and also the area that we were in. We witnessed the history of the Second World War at the museum, the war cemetery and then on the boat ride too. The lunch was very good and in a perfect day

Very well organised day with our guide Oom who was informative but fun in the right places. He kept us moving along all day but explained the itinerary and with only five in our group, we could get along well and all hear the details. Plenty of photo opportunities on every element, only extra on the day was paying to sit down on the train, of which we were aware before booking.
Learnt a lot on the day, lunch was very nice and a good balance of activities.

The driver was excellent and made good progress in the Bangkok traffic which can be toe curling with some drivers.
Tip - Sit on the left hand side of the train.

Fabulous trip telling such a sad story in the most beautiful surroundings.

Our guide for the day was oom.
        Who was very informative

Choosing this small group trip was good value as there.were only 6 of us on the trip and such a lovely group of people

We had a lovely lunch overlooking the river and had enough time to look around each area we stopped at.

I would definitely recomend this trip.

The tour was pretty well organised and our guide Oom was very professional and informative. Moving from site to site was pretty smooth and the boat ride down the River Kwai was leisurely. The Thai lunch provided was good.

At times it did feel a bit rushed as my partner and I were more interested in the WW2 historical aspects of the Thai-Burma railway, rather than it being simply a photo opportunity. But we also understand that there were lots to see in the short amount of time and that the historical elements weren't necessarily of everyone's interest.

Be prepared to spend some time on the mini van as Kanchanaburi is a little further away from Bangkok.

Beautiful train ride with beautiful panoramic views. The train ride takes about an hour over the wooden bridge. We combined everything and also went to the metal bridge. The whole history becomes complete with a visit to the museum as well as hell fire pass and a visit to the cemetery
