This was my second fishing tour with John this year and by far the best. This time I wanted to catch big predators and carp and after taking advice from John we visited Greenfield, Arapaima Park and IT Monster Lakes over a four day period. John certainly put me onto the fish and I managed to achieve PBs for Arapaima, Red Tail and Chao Phraya Catfish and Siam Carp as well as catching a whole array of different species of fish. The highlight of the tour has got to be a beautifully marked Arapaima, which was the smallest of the 4 I caught but was by far the most stunning. Spending 4 days with John was very enjoyable, he is very knowledgeable, has a great personality and nothing is too much trouble for him.....he just wants you to catch fish and enjoy the sport. John is the best fishing guide I even had after going to places like Oman, Maldives and Komodo island in Indonesia etc. He is very focused in getting us landing big monsters and friendly and accommodating to all our needs! I have been fishing with bkkguy for many years that he has become more of a friend really. I call him by his name so writing a review for bkkguy is a bit weird. For quick getaways I just need to arrive In Bangkok and bkkguy takes care of everything and we can go fish lures or fly fish near the city. For more exotic customised trips into the country I normally book his guiding services months ahead. I bring my own gear but have also brought many friends up with me who do not. His rental equipment is the high quality, as good as my own, some is even better. He has the right taclke for every occasion. Bkkguy speaks fluent English, Thai, Mandarin and some dialects.
