About
Starting at River City Shopping Mall, visit some of the oldest areas and buildings in Bangkok as you walk through the Talad Noi and Chinatown areas.
Dating back centuries, visit or pass by places like the Holy Rosary Church, the building that houses the first bank opened in Thailand, homes built long ago with fascinating stories to them, etc. The tour will take you along alleyways where the old walls have been adorned by skilled graffiti artists. Also part of this day will be Chinese shrines (The Tiger Shrine), temples (Wat Ratchabophit, Wat Suthat, Wat Ratchanadaram), the Loha Prasat monastery and a long-tailed speedboat ride along a klong (canal) into the city's centre.
Along the way, there will be several stops made to enjoy various Thai delicacies at tiny hidden gems that most visitors to Bangkok are not aware of. A real treat!
A small lunch of Dim Sum at Lhong Tou Cafe OR a noodle/rice dish at Sae Poon Shop near the famous Khao San Road will be a delicious relief too.

About the operator

- jokim050 contributionsWell worth a tripOur guide, Mai was with Wide Eyed Travel and she picked us up in a vehicle, drove some distance- with ‘Happy Room’ stop at garage and we visited the War Cemetery. This had mainly Australian and British graves, with some Dutch as well. We also visited the Museum which was very well laid out, informative and detailed. We then headed to the train to take us to the Death Railway section of the track. Some original beams are still evident, the curve of the river is evident and you could walk over and around this area. There was also a cave that had housed prisoners. We also had a buffet lunch before heading back.Written March 17, 2025
- Connector006946909230 contributionsA Perfect Stay with Stunning City ViewsBaiyoke Sky Hotel exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality. A special thanks to Ye Yan Naing at check-in, who was extremely helpful and efficient, ensuring a smooth start to my stay. The highlight of my visit was the stunning panoramic city views from my room and the rooftop. The hotel offers fantastic dining options, and the breakfast selection was outstanding. The location is perfect for exploring Bangkok, with markets and malls just a short walk away. The facilities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again!Written March 15, 2025
- daniel12440 contributionsUnadulterated Tourist TrapThis has got to be one of the most egregious scams I have ever experienced with regards to a restaurant. It is obvious this place allures mostly tourists because of the view but to present itself as a "premier dining experience" is not honest. The food was so bad that we had to return certain plates, not once but twice and ended up not eating the main course at all. How the chef there can vaunt his skills is pure hubris to us. But the coup de grâce is the through the roof prices; the cost/benefit ratio is abysmal. We felt thoroughly cheated and will never return! The only redeeming point is the courteousness of the staff, a hallmark of Thailand's exceptional people.Written March 15, 2025

- Sunshine6270080 contributionsExceptional crew ensure a memorable cruiseI took my handicapped brother on this tour in a wheelchair. He can walk a little with assistance but for distances over 100m I mostly put him in a wheelchair. There are a lot of people on the wharf boarding these cruises and it can seem a little chaotic, but the boarding staff are really amazing. Really amazing. We got the ticket really quick and were put in a holding area to be boarded. I was expecting that we would sit on the lower level to avoid the stairs, but five crew members carried the wheelchair up three levels so that we could have a view from the top of the boat. As the cruise started, we were allowed to begin the buffet. My brother and I had a bit of a giggle because the mass of people behaved like they hadn't eaten in many days. Once the big rush was done, I was able to dish up for my brother from his wheelchair. As a chef, I can be a little picky over food, but I remind myself that this is a $50 cruise, and the buffet is very good value for money with plenty of choices all clearly labelled. Standout choices were the salmon, some really nice salads and the lemon fish. At the end of the cruise the five crew members arrived at our table with perfect timing and carried the wheelchair down again and back on to the wharf. All of this was done with in a very friendly, efficient and professional way. I cannot overstate how impressed I am with every member of staff on this cruise, and I hope that these wonderful people get to read how happy and grateful we are for this experience. People with handicaps have many limitations with what they can experience and days later my brother still recounts how he enjoyed the two hours on the boat. Thank you.Written March 14, 2025
- M8000WKdeanw0 contributionsGreat to places see but tour execution was unprofessionalOur guide did not appear knowledgeable about the tour nor did he appear very interested. We only spent about 5 minutes at the cemetery as he was constantly rushing us to get back in the bus, unnecessarily as it turned out as we had a long wait later on for the train. His urging destroyed the sanctity of the war cemetery experience… if I had family members lost on the death railway I would have been very annoyed but I went along with it thinking he knew better. Virtually no commentary was given for the whole day despite 2x held microphones at his immediate right hand side in the minivan, they were never picked up and used for the whole day. I can only assume he didn’t know much about the subject matter. The tour guide slept for a large part of the journey which at one point became dangerous because the bus driver missed an important turn off to Erawan and decided to to attempt a 3 point turn on a narrow mountain road about 80 mtrs after a bend on a steep decline. If a truck was coming around the blind bend it could have been awful. There are no passenger seatbelts in the minvans. On the plus side, the war cemetery, JEATH war museum and Erawan waterfall are must see items. It was just the execution of the tour that was not up to scratch. I could go on but do not wish to make the point any further than I already have.Written March 12, 2025
- maurofavero880 contributionsNot a "luxury" experienceIf you're looking for a "luxury" experience, this may not be for you. The staff was very friendly, the food was good and beer and wine was included, which was great. The ship was very clean and in good shape. We were expecting to have a peaceful dinner while marveling at the wonderful views along the Chao Phraya river. What ruined the experience was the excruciatingly loud and low quality "entertainment" which included screaming into microphones and really loud so called "music". If you like this kind of thing, you're ok. If you're looking for a peaceful dinner while enjoying the views, you'll be disappointed.Written March 12, 2025

- 776genec0 contributionsThe Best of the BestRedar, Was there as we departed the plane with her sign with my name on it. That was just the beginning. She made us feel so very comfortable with her as we headed to Imagination. The many suggestions were very much appreciated. She stay with us until she handled us off until the transportation company driver arrived. Redar's work habits are unique, special and her passion for her job truly separates her from most. I hope her company realize they have a diamond in the ruff. So grateful she was available for us. Job exceptional done well. Kind regards, Wiley CarterWritten March 12, 2025

- 181RobertC0 contributionsFun, Hands on experienceAe did a wonderful job of explaining the various local ingredients to us and how they fit into the dishes. We learned that several of the ingredients are actually flavour ingredients only and are removed from the dish prior to eating. Overall a very good and authentic experienceWritten March 10, 2025
