      Tofu!! 10/10
Had the best afternoon with friends we learnt how to make our own tofu! The team is so wonderful and helpful carefully explaining and teaching us the method of tofu creation. We made a stir fry with tofu we made ourselves and it was delicious! The trip to local food carts was really fun and got to try lots of yummy things! Highly recommend taking a class with courageous kitchen! A wonderful experience!

Amazing custom cooking class with Alina!
This was a great custom cooking class that we had taken with Alina!! I enjoyed the market tour, and bought a few things along the way. When we first booked ourselves in for the class, we wanted to try a few different things, and taking our suggestions in mind, Dwight and his team created a Northern Thai menu for us including making our own red curry paste, sai oua (Northern Thai sausage, pork + red curry paste), nam prik ong (homestyle pork + tomato dish), khao soi (red curry coconut soup + egg noodles), and of course mango sticky rice for dessert. The class was really informative, and Alina took the time to answer all my questions (and trust me, I ask a lot of questions!!). For example, she explained why we needed 2-3 different types of chilis in a curry paste, and that using kaffir lime peel sparingly is enough to pack a punch, whereas I would have added all the peel! After we were done with the class, it was nice to have a chat with Dwight & Christy about their company, and what they do for the community. While there are lots of cooking classes other there, offering both standard and customized menus, we chose to go with Courageous Kitchen because the money goes back to the community - their efforts are focused on helping communities in need, through kitchen and nutrition education, providing food, and providing a safe place for personal development. I can't think of a better place where our money can be refocused to help those in need. Kudos to Courageous Kitchen!!

      Authentic Thai experience
While Courageous Kitchen is a little farther than most classes, it also means it’s more offbeat and authentic. We took the Family Session, and it was great to have our 4-yr old not just tolerated but actually included in the class. Dwight and his team, especially Alina, are all wonderful people, who went out of their way with everything, from picking us up to the class to making sure we got a cab to the airport where we were headed after this lovely experience.

      Wonderful people doing amazing things
Had a private tour through the markets before joining several others to put it all together into a couple of tasty dishes. Can't wait to get home to put what I learned into practice. But what the Courageous Kitchen does to help refugees was the most important lesson.

      Cooking with a superwoman
Had a fabulous day cooking with Alina and her assistant. After meeting with Alina we took a trip to the local market to look at various food used in Thai cooking. After the market we headed to the house and got cooking. We cooked an entree, main and made a desert. The food was delicious and the company inspiring and very courageous.

      A Fortunate Encounter
Such a stroke of luck that I was fortunate enough to find this opportunity, in reviewing a few possible cooking classes and market experiences. If you're looking for a big, spiffy commercial kitchen experience, look elsewhere - this is very different, and that's a good thing. With Dwight and Alina, Bella, etc., you'll be in touch with a real neighborhood and home, and a local market. A far more personable experience. Beyond that, the larger efforts Dwight has engaged toward teaching the Thai and refugee families he's in contact with ... this is an endeavor I am so glad to have supported in some small way and was fortunate enough to have some contact with.

      Amazing experience & highly recommended!
Wow, wow, and wow! Not only was the cooking class super informative, but the directions were easy to follow and the staff was so incredibly polite. We got to walk around the markets learning about different foods and even tasted some! You better come hungry because man do you eat! I was not expecting such an abundance of yummy and delicious food! Especially food that I can mimick at home. Dwight also met my dietary needs, which didn't take away from the flavor of the food one bit. Next time I'm in Thailand I'll deifntiely be doing another cooking class. One of my favorite moments of this trip!!

      Wonderful class and organization!
Had such a wonderful experience walking and tasting our way through the local market, followed then by an exceptional cooking class. We truly enjoyed our cooking experience and loved the three dishes we learned! We were fortunate to be taught by Lily and Bella- two young girls who have been cooking with the Courageous Cooking program for some time! We even had an oppurtunity to view the children’s program where the organization was teaching a cooking class to a young group of local kids. Such a wonderful class and program to support!

      Family fun!
I had an awesome time cooking with my son, daughter and the Courageous Kitchen team. We were super impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the tasty dishes. This was, by far, our favorite activity while visiting Bangkok.

      Fabulous class!
My 10 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We are expats in Bangkok, and over the years have heard about the impressive and great work that the Courageous Kitchen does and it was so fun to partake in it! The teachers were all helpful and encouraging. My daughter also enjoyed being able to have such a hands on experience. Highly recommend!

      Amazing Experience!
Dwight and Panisha, along with Alina, Lilly, and Bella, were all fantastic hosts. There's not a single thing I could write here that would do justice to the incredible time we had at Courageous Kitchen. Dwight led us on a delicious street food tour around the neighborhood where we got to experience delicious food as well as the amazing people who prepared it. We also took the kids cooking class led by Alina with our two young boys, and they absolutely loved cooking, and actually ate the food when they were done! To cap it all off, the money we spent on the tour and cooking class go to support all the work Dwight and his crew do with local refugees. If you're in Bangkok and want to experience amazing street food, educational cooking classes, AND you want to support a great cause, you have to visit The Courageous Kitchen.

      Delicious! Fun! Interesting!
Since returning from Thailand I have told everyone about this fantastic class (and have even suggested it to others visiting Bangkok). Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable, fun, and helpful! I learned how to make my favourite vegetarian Thai dishes.

Of course learning to prepare our own Thai meal was a great education and experience. What was most impressive is the mission. Watching Dwight gently guide his student "chef" explain and teach was something that only comes from the heart. We selected this experience as an offering from our Holland America cruise. It is clear that CK provides these refugee young people with the professional skills to compete in the employment market. The goal is a job with dignity and the food is almost secondary.

We are a family of four with two girls, 11 and 8 years old lucky enough to be travelling the world for several months. Went to this Thai cooking class as we saw their charitable work.
Had an absolutly fabulous time preparing and cooking our own food, the kids were allowed to learn and do their own cooking to with their own host. The menu was authentic and different Thai food. Learnt so much about food and the work of Courageous Kitchen. Cannot recommend highly enough!

My friend enrolled us in a class as a gift. We had to take a cab from Khlong San area to get to where it is, but it was worth it. Our group met our instructor near the market, we all went there to buy our ingredients and taste some delicious street food, before we went to the Courageous Kitchen house to cook. Very good teacher, I managed to make delicious dishes (so proud!), spend time with new and old friends, and help out Courageous Kitchen's cause! Keep up the good work!
