    Thailand Trip with Nuttys
Hello Dear Team, Below is our summary of our vacation. • Super varied compilation of the tour and very flexible adaptation to our additional wishes. • The fact that Nutty's solves queries on a weekend at short notice and answers, speaks for you. • The accommodations were all very suitable and well chosen: from business to resort to boutique. (And rustic trekking is just rustic trekking!) • All guides and drivers were great! The trekking in the north was, however, the "grand highlight! • The package and the planning service were worth their price. • Do we recommend you or will we book again? - Yes Yes Yes! Many thanks again & many greetings Anke & Karl with 2 younges

Dear Nuttys Team, We are back in Germany and wanted to thank you for the well organized tour. Everything worked so well and you got some incredible tour guides. They took great care of everything and none of our questions went unanswered. So we could spend a really nice time with you. Therefore also on this way a thank you for the guides. We can recommend Nutty's Adventures highly. Best Regards Olaf and friends

Mediocre booking experience, though solid trip by local guides. The trip itself for us was 4-stars, but minus another star for weak communication by Nutty's.

To start with the good, we had an interesting and very local experience on the "Chiang Mai Trekking and Biking" trip. We highly enjoyed seeing the way of life of the people and trying lots of regional foods. Our guide was great at explaining the local culture, including lots of temple-related questions we've had for weeks, how the hilltribes work the tea and coffee plantations, and common food and customs.

We occasionally saw locals/guide having something different at meals than us, which made us wonder if we were missing something fun to try, but most everything was tasty, including a few street food items we might not have known to try, like bamboo sticky rice and fried bananas.

For the active parts: the hikes were pretty short (each just around 6 miles), a bit boring for us as experienced hikers, but we greatly enjoyed the bike ride around the Chiang Dao area with stops off the beaten tourist path and great views of mountains and a variety of farms.

While we ultimately enjoyed our trip, this company was ok but not great for booking. I'd try to go directly with local providers if you can (…which might always not be possible as they often have only a tiny web footprint), or maybe a different broker company.
• There are two 3-day/2-night trips that stay with hilltribes on the site, "Chiang Mai Trekking and Biking" and "CBT Hill-tribe Trek and Homestay," which I asked to be differentiated, but much more detail than I could read there - just the names of different locations and tribes repeated, which doesn't mean anything to me as a tourist in the area. We picked the Chiang Mai one partly because he said it is "in Chiang Mai" to avoid a long drive (4 hours) mentioned on the CBT trip, but it was still 3 hours to our starting point anyway.
• I specifically asked about the luggage situation for this trip when booking ("Based on the itinerary, it sounds like we will carry what we need for the few days with us during the trek. Is that correct?") and was told "your baggage will be transported for you" which was incorrect. We DID need everything in a day pack for both nights, as we were told when picked up. Luckily we had a backpack we could use to rearrange this and our local guide could store our luggage at his home near Chiang Mai, but this could have been really problematic if we didn't happen to have the right flexibility of gear.
• The information on the trip description is also a bit overstated. Day 1 is supposed to be 4 hours of hiking, which we did in 2.5; Day 2 claims 6 hours, which we did in 3.5. Maybe this could be customized better. On the second night, we were meant to stay in a treehouse and have a host family, but we were actually at a more hotel-vibe homestay. While quite nice, I think it would have been fair to let us know about this change.

Based on their truck and some google verifying, the local company is Trek with Jame, but I don’t know if they book directly with clients.
