About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- aeta20240 contributions’African’ style cookingNote on the top of the tour price you will be asked to pay ’support’ to many guides/assistants/craftsmen etc, also you are offered/nicely forced to buy recklessly pricey products. The elementary hygiene level could have been better, we had to ask for washing the hands before manual interaction with food etc. The chef was friendly and knowledgeable, spices in the forest real snd smelled good - just level your overall excpectstions before the trip!Written January 16, 2025
- 116vanessag0 contributionsAmazing spice and cooking day tour!My husband and I are here in Zanzibar for our honeymoon and loved this tour! The shopping for the ingredients in the old fort market, the spice tour and the cooking class were all incredible!! Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable:) Highly recommend this trip to anyone in Zanzibar that wants to learn about the culture and loves good food!Written January 11, 2025

- Diana L0 contributionsA wonderful experienceWe were met as arranged and went by boat to the sand bar. We were the first there and were able to walk around, collect shells and swim in the clear water without others around for quite a while. The awning put up for us with groundsheet was perfect and we were each give a large bottle of water and a coke and orange soda. During the morning we were given a very generous tray of fruits which was amazing. We had booked for a morning 4hour trip which was long enough for us as it had got very hot and busy on the sand bar by midday. A perfect experienceWritten November 9, 2024
- 865kelynnl0 contributionsVery cool experience! This was great and well worth the money! We went at 9am and were the only ones on the island for a good half hour before the crowd showed up. They brought us fresh fruit and shade. Vendors also come to the island with beer/wine and souvenirs for sale.Written October 14, 2024
- Goldi7360 contributionsVery good cooking experienceAfter buying all the ingredients on the market we went to Lutfias kitchen at a spice farm. We learned a lot about spices an had a very tasteful menu.Written August 24, 2024
- saramurad820 contributionsGreat tour, lovely people. This trip was amazing we had so much fun cooking the way people from zanzibar cook. The food was very tasty and the spice farm tour was fun. We asked to be picked up from our hotel for an additional fee and Rashid picked us up with chef Lutfia, they were amazing friendly people we booked another tour with them with the tour guide Mohammad the same day and the day after. They have so many tours highly recommend we had so much fun.Written July 9, 2024

- bas09210 contributionsSO crowded! Might be worth skipping. It’s a beautiful sandbar until it’s completely PACKED with boats parked on both sides and people running across your area as well as the tide coming in. We had about an hour of tranquility until the obnoxious crowds from all nations arrived. We received great service from our captain on the “One Way” boat. He was more than accommodating. However the packed beach and the inconsiderate other beach goers make this an average experience.Written December 24, 2023
- dranwb0 contributionsUnfortunate CircumstanceUnfortunately, we didn’t get to take this tour. I filled out the form wrong indicating a different hotel than what we were staying (since it was not in the drop down list). The vendor form / tour description on Trip Advisor also mentioned that if we wanted a transfer (for a fee) from a different hotel, then we should contact them using the provided WhatsApp number (which i did, at least a day in advance) and I received no response on WhatsApp. The evening before the tour the vendor reached out on the TripAdvisor App (which was a first for me with a vendor), indicating they would meet us at hotel reception at 9:00am (and didn’t indicate which hotel). I assumed they were picking us up at our hotel, but this was not the case. The tone of the texts from the vendor were very unpleasant. I understand I made a mistake in the form, but also followed directions provided by the vendor and they didn’t follow their own procedure. I did not ask for nor expect a refund since it was clearly stated in the tour description. I would have had a better outcome (and provided a better rating) if they admitted they did not follow their own procedure and refrained from using an aggressive, unpleasant tone with me. The rating I provided is specifically for the exchange I had on TripAdvisor chat with the vendor.Written November 7, 2023
- AstashaS0 contributionsAuthentic African ExperienceWe had a great time and felt the cost was well worth the experience. You’re picked up directly from your Stonetown hotel, get a tour of the market, the spice farm (which was very informative) and enjoy cooking with others in an intimate setting - experiencing authentic African culture. It took most of the day (we started around 9 and think we finished around 2-3pm). The food we made with our fresh market ingredients and spices from the farm was delicious! Some of the best we had while in Zanzibar. You won’t be disappointed in booking.Written October 30, 2023

- A8812KTjasont0 contributionsbeautiful morningNakupenda island is a very beautiful place to visit, our captain took us there, and took care of all our needs, everything was prepared prior, we got to spend a couple of hours there swimming, it is indeed the island of love. i definitely recommend this tripWritten October 12, 2023
- Sara V0 contributionsIf you like to cook, don't miss this tour!!Fabulous experience. I loved the spice farm and the cooking class. Shopping for ingredients was a lesson in itself. The spice farm tour was outstanding. In addition to seeing how common spices grow, we got to eat fruits from the tree and smell basic ingredients in medicine and perfume. Plus fun events and surprises. Best of all was the cooking class. I learned a lot from Lutfia - and was able to cook sitting on the floor. If you cook and want to learn about different cultures, don't miss this experience!Written September 4, 2023

I give this a 4 out of 5 because we had a fun day, enjoyed the rail, lunch was wonderful (it wasn't a picnic, it was a restaurant and it was really good food), swimming in the waterfalls was refreshing and they were beautiful. Having said that it was a very long day. Long ride up and back. There's 7 levels to the falls and we only had time to get to level 4 (we were given 2 1/2 hrs to explore the falls). If the image in the ad is a true depiction, it must be higher up then level 4 because we didn't see anything that spectacular. I would have preferred more time at the falls even if we missed the rail. After the heat of Bangkok, jumping in the falls and going behind the falls was so much fun.

The places themselves were nice but I was really looking forward to a tour guide, they didn’t really say anything nor even introduce themselves
Before being switched to another and just texted in the phone like the other reviews said. Someone in the group got bit by a monkey and wanted to go to the hospital and they pretty much ignored her the whole time. I didn’t like how they handled that. I would book with a different company this one is sloppy and unorganized. But the places themselves are beautiful and rich. Also please be careful of monkeys, don’t bring food. Or shiny objects.

We really enjoyed the train ride, it was beautiful scenery and a nice break from the car ride. The waterfalls were amazing! The hike is definitely a workout, but totally worth it in the end. It was helpful to be able to cool off in the waterfalls on the way up, I would recommend heading straight to the top and then working your way back down since it will take up the most time. The hiking level id say is definitely difficult so keep that in mind. Our tour guide was great! She was very friendly, she gave us good information on the different places we went and gave us our alone time instead of being there every step of the way which we liked. The driver was also great and so was the van that we rode in. Very comfortable for such a long trip. As it mentions on the website bring a towel, swimsuit, and an extra change of clothes for the ride back! We had all of our stuff in a waterproof bag luckily because it poured rain on us while hiking back down. You also need to bring Thailand baht to pay for the life jackets that are mandatory to rent. Also on the website is says that the daily plan is to start at the waterfalls and end with the train, we actually started out at a lovely cemetery that was in connection with the death railroad and then we went there to catch the train. We had about and hour and a half to walk around. We went to the small museum which you also need cash for to get in. We grabbed a quick snack and took some pictures along the bridge and then took the train which was about an hour ride to a great little private lunch spot, we had fried rice, fruit and a lovely fried banana dessert before getting back to the car to head to the waterfalls which was about an hour away. It was nice to break up the 3 hour ride there with these activities. Once we got to the waterfalls we had about 2 hours to hike up and back down which seemed like the perfect amount of time for us. We got up in about 40 mins, taking pictures along the way and hoping in some of the pools. The way down took about half the time and we were able to rinse off, change and head back to meet our tour guide. We also brought some small snacks for the car ride back since it’s 3 hours and around dinner time we were getting hungry. The driver was very punctual, picking us up right on time and getting us back right at 7pm. Also we were supposed to be paired with some more people but I think they may have canceled because it ended up just being my boyfriend and I on the tour. All and all the tour was a great way to spend the day out of the city!

I wanted to see Erawan Falls. I also wanted to tour the area where the Japanese forced the Allied and local prisoners to build the railroad connecting Thailand and Burma. To my knowledge, this was the only tour that combined both. It's a 2 hour ride from Bangkok to the falls.
Erawan has 7 levels of waterfalls. Most only get to level 5 because the terrain and degree of difficulty increase with each level. I have a slight disability and only made it to 4. Those who are fit can probably make it all of the way. What is good is that the Falls is the first stop and you have 4 hours until you need to report back to the guide. A free lunch is then provided at one of the restaurants near the entrance/exit to the park.
Next comes a drop off at an old WWII area. You're allowed to walk across the train bridge and enjoy the river scenery. As it gets closer to the time that the train will be coming, the guide calls everyone back to the train pick up area. It's a pleasant 45 minute train ride along the river on one side and fields and distant mountains on the other. After a number of stops, the guide tells the group to get off at the next one.
The tour van has driven to pick the group up at the train stop. After a 30-40 minute drive, the group is let off at another historical WWII site. This time, we only have 30 minutes to do a lot! There's another bridge to walk across. At certain sections there are stairs in order to get down to an area that has local merchants marketing their goods. There is an old guard tower from the prison camp, a museum and a P.O.W. cemetary. I'm not sure where the P.O.W. cemetary was, I didn't see it. If I had a complaint at all, it would be that I think there should be more time to see things at the end.
We were probably rushed a bit at the end because we were running behind. What was supposed to be a 10 hour tour became a 12 hour tour. Considering how much territory was covered, the price was extremely affordable and reasonable. The guides were very friendly and helpful. I gave this tour a rating of 4. Now that I am done with this review, I'm going to try to change it to a 5!

There are 2 ways to reach the Erawan or & layer waterfall. You can take a bus from Ekkamai bus station (cheapest) if you are staying in Sukhumvit or hire a private car for 4000 Baht. The ride is very smooth and takes around 3 hours to go. Recommended to take a swimsuit n towel along with walking shoes to climb the levels. Each level is a great view to enjoy. Recommend to go up to 7. You can take as many dips you want but there are small fishes which comes in group as soon as you are in the water to eat the dead skins of your. I am not fond of it though. While on our way back, I found a restaurant beside a river which had a great location n view. Found it randomly so don't remember the name.

This tour was great !!! We were picked up promptly and headed towards the first stop. At the first spot we meet up with our tour guide who was with us all day! O (our tour guide) was amazing ! Very informative and helpful in anything we needed. She explaining everything at every stop and always informed us of the time to the next destination or what the next step was.
The tour was very well put together. We first stoped at Death Railway and we’re given an introduction to the area and history and were given time to explore on our own. Next stop, waterfalls and lunch. O gave us information about the waterfalls and then gave us free time! There was a new rule being enforced at the waterfalls and O was very quick and helpful to help solve that issue for us.
Last stop was River Kwai Tour. It was awesome to ride the train and learn along the way.
O was amazing and really made you feel like a friend very quickly !
10/10 would go again

By far the Waterfalls were the highlight of this journey and the tour guides were as lovely as they come.
They were more than informative and friendly but helpful even in ensuring we took the right paths in our future travel after we left the area to travel south. Highly recommended.
