Private Tour : Unseen Railway and Floating Market then Phenomenon Temple

By Guide Bangkok Travel - Day Tours
Three amazing places that you can do in one day. At first glance, markets in Thailand are all the same but one definitely stands out. Witness Thailand’s Unique Meaklong Railway Market. It has a train track running right down the middle with trains close enough to touch. The coolest thing is the awnings and shop fronts adjusts and perfectly encapsulates the train as it rolls through. Then we get on a long-tail boat and go down the canals where Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is. It is a great way to see the winding canals you would not otherwise have access to on foot. Later on, visit the hidden old temple where all Phenomena are fluid and interconnected, and the trees and the temple structure is a single continuing entity, a mash-up of the natural and manmade.

Truly private and worth the extra money.
This tour was worth the extra money. It was truly private with only the two of us on the tour. Getting picked up and dropped off at your hotel was the best. When you're done with this tour, you're tired an figuring out how to get home can't be fun. Our guide, First, was amazing. He was so knowledgable of the sights we saw and made each sight so interesting. One of the best things he did was left us alone after giving some background. It was nice to wander where we wanted and at our own pace without a guide saying move along like the bigger tours. The cruise ship ride back was very relaxing and the chef who prepared the buffet was very talented and made fantastic dishes with many being out of the ordinary. I liked it because I could try somethings I'd never had before. Have you ever had a banana flower? I can say I have. I'll always look for these private tours, knowing how wonderful they can be.

          First was best!
Our guide, First, gave us exactly what we wanted, a tour of Bangkok's highlights and hidden spots and accommodated our requests for unique stops.

Great Tour with a Great Guide...
We had a great tour the first day in Bangkok, with the best tour guide in Bangkok - Vuttikone Ruabruam (aka First). I was with my parents, one of whom can only walk limited distances and First was kind, patient and flexible with locations that may be a little taxing for walking and climbing. His driver was also amazing...always right there when we came out of the location, they provided cold water, etc. All the locations were great and First knew tons of information about all of them because he's such an experienced guide. Next time I would just hire First and have him take us on all the tours...because no one really compared after that. Anyway, I recommend the tour and if you can, request First as your guide.

Enjoyable Outing with Professional Tour Guide!!! *Thumbs up*
I was travelling with my parents aged above 60 for this private tour and many thanks to First for his professionalism as a tour guide to show us the interesting places with all the interesting stories and histories with pace that were comfortable to all of us. No rushing at all! My parents and I were happy with this outing for the day. A lot of nice surprises which we didn't expect from our lovely guide. :) Highly recommend to whoever is reading this.

Our guide made this tour an experience to remember
Our guide, First, was punctual, knowledgeable and funny. We were picked up at the hotel and the guide explained what the tour will entail. We were concerned about the timing of the return because we had to catch an evening flight out of Bangkok. The guide immediately changed the return route where the van would take us directly to the airport instead of taking us back to the hotel - which alleviated our concerns about the notorious Bangkok traffic. The mini van ride in both directions was smooth, and so was the cruise. We visited the Summer Palace, the ancient temples of Ayutthaya and the Chao Sam Phraya Museum, each one a highlight in its own right. The guide, an Ayutthaya native, gave us not only the historic background but also sprinkled the explanations with his personal experiences and commentary which made the visit so much more relatable for all of us. I highly recommend this tour.

          Bangkok Walking Food Tour
We were received at a temple near the China Gate by Sai for our gastronomic tour of China town in Bangkok. She was very friendly, very informative and took us to a selection of different eating places to eat typical food of the city. Some inside, some outside but all tasty and different in their own way. A very enjoyable experience with a nice and enthusiastic girl. Worth doing.

          Excellent Guide sevices in Bangkok
We were in Bangkok in mid January for two days and we had the service of First from Guide Bangkok for two days as he showed us around the City. He was excellent, knowledgeable, spoke great English and had a good sense of humour. We were a mixed party of 11 with an age range from 12 to late 70's. First paced the tour to take this into account and he was attentive to mobility issues of some of our party. He gave us a great insight into this vibrant City and provided an excellent start to our weeks stay. Highly recommended

Amazing experience, very knowledgeable guide who makes tours interesting and enjoyable
I have just returned from a 16 day tour and First was my guide. He instantly made the group feel at ease and was great to be around. First was always on hand if we had any questions (even annoying ones!) and was really inspiring! What was great was that not everyone wanted to do each activity, so First ensured that everyone was doing an activity that they wanted to do, and were looked after. I would highly recommend First as a guide and he spoke fluent English so no problems with language barriers!

          Best tour Ever
I was sceptical at first of going on a tour around Thailand for 16 days as a couple, but after meeting first it was amazing. He was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and extreme helpful as well as genuine. He showed us all the highlights that the country has to offer from top of the country to the bottom on ko tao and the best trip by far is the khoa sok national park. The best thing about first is he looks to live life to the full and is always ready to have a good time , which makes the trip so much better. The traveling from place to place was easy and well organised and never got boring with the great company.I would suggest to any one coming to Thailand to go with first, you will not have one bad word to say about him :).

Ko Muk to Ko Rok - 4 days, 3 nights tour
In January 2015, a group of 5 of us booked a guided 4 day 3 night trip with Guide Bangkok Travel to the south west islands of Ko Muk and Ko Rok. I know one of the owners through one of tours I booked through Gap Adventures. Therefore I knew they were experienced and well coordinated. You are essentially getting a Gap Adventures or equivalent company tour for a third of the price. We were picked up from the Trang airport by our transport driver. We were transported in air conditioned vans. Then met the Rubber Tree Bungalow (where we stayed in Ko Muk) owner's wife at the docks where we were transported by long thai boats. The accommodation was clean and simple, close proximity to the beach and local activities. The next day, we were met by the owner of the accommodation who was also our guide to Ko Rok island. The boat ride was about 1.5 hrs and when we got to the island, we snorkeled for a few hours while our guide spearfished catching barracuda, red snapper, and other fish (this was our dinner!). The islands themselves were natural, secluded beauties. Frequented by tourist during the day but after 4PM, only a couple handful of people remained. The island had Komodo dragons! and cicada insects (which make loud noises at certain times of the day). The accommodation on the island was camping but you could opted out for a hut if you can't handle the rough grounds. But it was fine for us. The dinner was fish that our guide caught the day of. I eat a lot of fish, and this was by far one of the best I've ever had! The next day we traveled back, island hopping to a few places making a stop at Emerald Cave, a hidden beach where you swim in a dark cave on the side of a cliff in the ocean. We spent one more night in Ko Muk before our tour ended. This was an off the map tour. It use to be a stop for the tour companies but got left behind for more popular attractions in Thailand. Its a must do if you want a secluded island experience. Lots of Europeans in Ko Muk and seemed quite safe. I'd recommend anyone looking to get their trip started with a guided tour to book with these guys. They can customize the tours to your interests unlike the big tour companies. First is the owner, and an awesome human being. Can't wait to book my next trip to Thailand with Gudie Bangkok Travel!
