- keimpep202300Nice bike tour through the real BangkokCo van Kessel is a very professional organization. From booking until arriving and getting ready for the bike tour: it's all very nicely organized. Bikes are good - specifically for the task: expect to drive very calmly through neighbourhood allies, markets and small streets. A little bit of a downside: i experienced the winding through narrow allies with sharp bends as going very slow. Also, driving through busy and narrow market streets is not that much fun. In the past I did another bike tour through more natural neighbourhoods ("bush") which I thought was great fun too. Guides are very good and helpful - explain the right level of detail, and do also not talk too much. I would skip visiting a temple as part of the tour as I go visit enough temples already... but this is again just my personal opinion. All in all I would certainly recommend going on a guided your with Co van Kessel!
- Feanmucker00You won’t find these places by yourself! This tour took us through parts of Bangkok that we would otherwise never have seen. The quiet narrow backstreets of Bangkok are incredibly interesting and such a contrast to the mostly manic city. A great fun activity.
- JenBeeee00Superb!!! My favourite day in Bangkok. We had the most fantastic time on the 5 hour bike/boat tour of Bangkok. Our guides were absolutely brilliant ! We saw parts of Bangkok you just wouldn't be able to cover on foot, real authentic Bangkok. When we crossed the river to cycle to the residential villages of Thonburi, and had the most wonderful lunch at Eight De Klong, a Thai cafe on the canal. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting the city. Its a must do, and probably my highlight in Bangkok. Just fab.
- I5178UPana00Wonderful bike your!Together with our kind guides Prowd and Pla we discovered the busy China district, temples, and the peaceful farmer district near Bangkok. We got interesting information an excellent meal and even had a boat trip. We saw parts of Bangkok we would never have discovered ourselves. We had a wonderful experience.
- Sljones7400ExcellentSuper fun experience!! Our family group of 6 of all ages (14 to 50) really enjoyed this tour. Our guides Jessie and Dii were fabulous! Very knowledgeable, professional and so kind! I had not ridden a bike for many years and they truly looked after me! Mostly flat riding through back alleys, crossing the bridge over the river, through streets, markets and Chinatown. Highly recommend
- Arthurko00Great tourReally great tour with our amazing tourguide Proud and her assistent Kim. Easily worth the money. If you want to experience another Bangkok this is the way to go
- Simon H00Totally worth it!Really nice Guides, good information, totally safe and well Organizer tour, was fun! And I got another input on Bangkok!
- 2sez5400Must do experienceFantastic must do..ling ling tour guide is an absolute treasure. Bikes were easy ride well maintained. Felt very cared for throughout the tour
- 2sez5400Fantastic absolutely. Quality well maintained easy ride bycicles.Absolutlety loved this your. Ling Ling our tour guide was exceptional, very professional, knowledgeable and very funny which made the whole experience so special. A truly must do when you visit Bangkok.
- Explorer5207027647400A MUST for Bangkok!!The experience was wonderful, so authentic and beautiful taking the group through winding back alleys with spectacular viewers and scenery! The tour guides were amazing (so impressive how they wound through the traffic omg) and we’re so kind, educating the group! I’ve been to Bangkok three times and have never seen a side to it like this, would recommend to all!!! Ontop of this, me and my partner had to run early to leave for a flight and the tour guides were incredibly sweet and understand 10/10!!
- Q4973FPomarb00Hidden Gems of BangkokDefinitely couldn’t have navigated the alleys that we went through. Very informative and friendly staff. Took a bit longer than expected time for the tour.
- D6321SColgav00Love!Amazing tour guides and experience! Biking alongside cars can be scary but the guides helped ease any worries and stopped traffic at major intersections. A wonderful way to get oriented with Bangkok!
- Ricardo C00Nice option to get to know BKKGreat opportunity to walk through different pets of Bangkok. Not pricey, a good option if you want to ride a bike around and meet people
- 846tarikb00True Thai Culture tourThis was the best tour I've been on in Thailand. You really see what daily life is like for locals in this tour. Amazing markets, temples, canal your and even local wildlife. If you want to see the real Bangkok and a dip into the past, this is perfect. I was impressed with the guides knowledge, answered all questions with a great level of detail and they really care for your welfare. It is hot so prepare ahead of time. Koh Pun Krab 🙏
- takeshikiri1300Great but read my tips to manage your expectations and prepare properlyOverall it was great. But some things to keep in mind: - Don't go in April or May, it's just too hot. - Come ready to exercise, it was more exercise than I thought because you're winding around in small alleys and streets a lot. - You won't have time to eat much so make sure you eat before, 3 hours is a long time. - Bring sunscreen, it's a very sunny experience. Not as much shade as I hoped during the bike ride. - Don't expect it to be boutique or undiscovered, it's a large tour company and they're doing a bunch of large groups a day. During your ride, you'll see at least 3 other groups like yours cruising the same route.

Very sweet tour guide. She smiled a lot but was quite difficult to understand. She spoke very fast with a strong Thai accent.
I enjoyed touring the back alleys where no tourists are seen however it was very dark in some areas and difficult to negotiate tight turns. A person must be very comfortable on a bike. I enjoyed going to the Chinese temple and learning a little about the customs. I also enjoyed the exotic fruit and street food that we sampled. The flower market was amazing but I would have liked some explanation rather than just riding through. Seeing the city at night was beautiful and very different from the busy daytime.
We were 8 people on the tour. We were not asked to introduce ourselves or where we were from at the beginning of the tour. Doing this is always a good idea to create a sense of camaraderie within the group.
I have taken many cycle tours around the world . I enjoyed it but it wasn’t amazing.

Was an amazing tour! You really get to see the 'hidden' side of Bangkok, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. We went to a market in Thonburi (which only operates on the weekend), and our guide bought some delicious snacks. Rode down many small alleys with no other tourists, and got a feel for how Bangkok citizens live. Definitely the best part of our Bangkok trip!

Terrible biking tour! Do not go there! Groups are way too big! We lost our daughter because there were so many people in 1 group, half of the group went right, half went left. Our daughter was left behind alone. One guide didn’t speak any English. We went there 7 years ago, it was perfect back then, small groups, nice guides. Now it’s a money driven company. Choose another one! Too expensive for what they offer.

Hi Sabine. apologise again for your experience, and understanding your emotions. Your experience was very exceptional and a result of some hiccups after a 2+ year complete covid lockdown and not to our standard.
Our team has been the same for the past 20 years and our philosophy remains as it was on day one.
We have been in contact by e-mail and hopefully resolved it to your satisfaction.
Hoping to get a second chance to show you the standard and quality that we deliver our guests on a daily basis.

This 3hr night bike ride tour is simply amazing. The guides Sandra and Flute are very patient and friendly who speak very good English. We got to see so many interesting places of Bangkok where cars can't access to. It is indeed a whole new experience for me even though I have been to Bangkok many times. Highly recommend this tour if you want something different than your usual sight seeing. I'm looking forward to my next adventure with Co Van Kessel.

After reviewing the website and reading reviews, we decided this sounded like a really fun activity for our family. While not serious bikers, we do ride fairly regularly. The guides were really good and seemed very concerned with our safety. However, the bikes are not great, you need to navigate tight alleyways and avoid mopeds through the alleyways, ride on a sidewalk near the river all while avoiding trees and pedestrians and ride on a busy street through Chinatown. Unless you feel completely confident on a bike that’s not your own (and doesn’t have gears) and can navigate really tight spaces, this might not be the excursion for you.

My husband and I did both the 3 hours day tour and the 3 hours night tour. Personally I preferred the night tour. It’s cooler and less crowded. Our tour guides Mimi and Kathy were friendly and tentative. Helmet (optional) and safety vest were provided. So were bottle waters and light refreshments. It’s a great way to experience Thailand in an up close and personal level.
A few tips:
1. Since we rode through some tight spaces, I highly recommend you adjust the bike (or get a smaller size like I did) so you can stand flat-footed while seated on the bike. There were several ladies in the tour who adjusted the seat quickly after we started the tour. When I went on the day tour my bike was too high even when adjusted all the way down and I regretted not getting the smaller size bike. They have 28 inch, 25 inch and 24 inch.
2. Use mosquito repellent if you attract mosquitoes.
3. If you park your car in River City, make sure you verify parking before you leave. The office will be closed when you come back and no verification can be done.

This was an awesome 3 hour night time experience through alleyways, looking into homes. Not the usual tourist trap, this showed what real life and culture is like. We even got to try street food with the locals. Our host was amazing but I cant spell his name.... Gort? Nort?
