Ton, our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable about Buddhism, we learned a lot from him about Thai spirituality! We very much let down about the fact that we had one group member with allergies, we had warned the company and guide beforehand, and were reassured everything would be adapted. In reality we had to remind the guide about the severe allergies at every single stop, and often no adaptions were made, once leading to our group member having to spit out a bite… Unfortunately in general we did not feel the price justified the experience. The food was alright but not amazing, nothing we hadn’t tasted before in Thailand. In addition, we did not learn anything about food or food culture in Thailand. All in all, if it’s your first time ever in Bangkok you’ll have a nice time, but if you have any experience with Thai and Chinese food, you’re better off going on your own for a fraction of the price.

We enjoyed our Secret Food Tour with our incredible guide, Ton. We wandered through the alleys of Chinatown trying one local dish after another. Please note to come super hungry because you will be extremely full after you try all the delicacies raging from Duck Noodles,Chinese dumplings, Chicken and Basil, Spicy Papaya Salad Chicken and Pork Satays and so much more. Ton, not only explained each dish but gave us a deeper understanding of the area, traditions , culture, and the principals of Buddhism. We appreciated receiving a copy of his book that he co-wrote with a famous teacher of philosophy and Buddahism. His in-depth knowledge, friendly and professional personality, and delicious food offerings made it for an unforgettable experience.

Jan was my guide and she was amazing. All the food stops were great and I felt like I got to try everything I wanted to without the nerves of picking the wrong place. I also enjoyed my time with Jan, learning about Bangkok life

Our group had a great time on our food tour. It was a great overview of Bangkok street cuisine. Highly recommend this tour because you get to taste things that are a bit more interesting. No pad Thai on this tour!

So yummy and so much food! Everything we tried was amazing, Jan knew everyone in chinatown as well as where the locals ate. Lots of fun new foods, my favorite was the michellin donuts

We had an AMAZING time! Jan was terrific! She took us to places we never would have stopped at as tourists. She also introduced us to the culture of Bangkok giving the tour a richer and more meaningful context. We paid for a private tour (just two of us) and we were delighted in our experience. 100% recommend. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and Jan made it very special - arranging for a “birthday dessert” and having the band play happy birthday for him at our last stop. It was magical. Rachasak Chantana (Sak) was an amazing food tour guide. He worked so hard to keep everyone happy, he really went out of his way. He took us to a great variety of different food tastings, it was a very interesting tour with a delightful group of people. Well done Sak. Jan is an excellent tour guide, super friendly, very knowledgeable about the food and culture. Her English is very good and easy to understand. We have done other street food tour on our time in Bangkok and they do not compare to the secret food tour with Jan. Good photos We Did not feel rushed Excellent food choices Very accommodating with our family and children. If you do this tour ask for Jan, she is a very good guide and made our experience very smooth and a night to remember.

We booked a private tour with Secret Food tours and our guide was Jan. This is my 2nd time using Secret Food Tours (Previously in Seoul) and this tour was just as wonderful in Bangkok. This company is professional, prompt communication from booking with complete details where to meet. Our guide, Jan spoke perfect english, was energetic and very informative food guide. We tried not only Thai cuisine, but a mix of many unique asian foods. I asked a ton of questions about the culture and food of course, and Jan happily answered. I This tour included 10-12 stops with huge portions, and we were so full by the time the tour was over! Jan took a took tons of photos along the way for us, and provided the names of all the dishes we tried. I asked a few questions about Iced thai tea (which was not part of the tour) and Jan made a special stop to her favorite tea shop so I could try some (and get assistance ordering) + we even got hands on food prep at one stop to prepare a fresh papaya salad. Wow! **Tip- I recommend booking as early in advance. December is a very busy time and book up quickly. Especially private tours! Don't delay.

Great food tour of Bangkok Chinatown and a few cultural tidbits along the way! We tried so many stops and all were delicious. Definitely places we would not have tried on our own and all the food was cooked to order and there was no concern about it not being safe to eat. Jantira was a great tour guide and made sure everyone on the tour was comfortable and had items they could eat. Left full and happy!

Amazing tour with the highlight the Mango Salad. Jiab was an amazing tour guide offering a few extras on the way. Jain has great knowledge of the area and history. We will do it again but unfortunately we are leaving Bangkok for our next destination

Meeting point MRT meeting point 2 p.m. Everyone was on time and Jan had water for everyone. Very attentive! We were 3 interested people who were looking forward to walking & food. Unfortunately, one participant was walking so slowly that walking was practically impossible! After the first food stop, the lady decided to take the tuk tuk to the next station. The group was totally torn and Jan did her best to accommodate everyone... that was a challenge! At the second station we didn't meet the woman again, even though Jan tried everything. Overall, it was a great food tour through Chinatown with 8 stops. So incredibly delicious, flavorful and authentic! Highly recommended and Jan was great! Thanks for the experience :-)

Great experience and highly recommended. Jan was an excellent guide, enthusiastic and informative. There was plenty of food so make sure you’re hungry. Having a local insight helped find food we definitely wouldn’t have found ourselves. We chose the private tour as we had booked a bit late and had a big group. It was a touch expensive, but overall I think worth it.

Our guide, Chantana, was EXCELLENT! Our group of 10 very much enjoyed this food tour. We got the perfect taste of Chinatown and enjoyed each stop! Chantana was so nice to everyone and spoke great English. She ensures that each person in your group gets the attention they deserve and no one feels left out. She is a super sweet soul and you will NOT be disappointed with her. Definitely book this tour and ask for Chantana!

I got the private tour as a gift and it was really great experience. 😊 very well organized, the food was amazing and I was really well taken care of, my guide Mrs. Sridom Zhang was so sweet and nice☺️ overall awesome experience… but do come hungry! Its a lot of food 😅
