- Sarah_family_explore00Delicous, tasty & intresting China town tour with TukaTuka is a very nice and friendly guide. She realy made our evening most exciting and intresting. She clearly feels at home in China town and is proud of the Thai Chinese culture. We tasted the best streetfood ever; including seafood, different noodle soups and mango with sticky Rice: delicous! Also we visited one of the oldest restaurants in China town; a very classy and arty interior where we ate the most lovely dumplings and delicous dim sums. We now understand why they say the most important ingrediënt of dim sum is … love!
- 674mariekeb00Tasty evening!!We've had a great evening with our gide Tukta! She was really kind, told us everthing about the food and locations. We would recommend it, you sure to have a nice evening with really good and tasty food!!!
- simonhR2046QD00Brilliant family experienceMaud was our food guide and she was awesome! I can't speak more highly enough of her - she took us everywhere - down back streets, to Chinatown, the flower market and ended up at a rooftop bar with a drink overlooking the temples. Would 100% recommend Maud and this tour
- georgeaP2007ES00A foodie experienceWe had a beautiful time eating and drinking delicious Thai cuisine with Jongkie. She showed us the ins and outs of the town and was a pleasure to spend the evening with. Would definitely recommend 5/5 stars
- 625gerdienb00Delicious foid with great guideRecommended! Our guide Jongkie was very enthousiastic and we had a very nice evening. We tried many different types of Chinese food and drinks with different delicious tastes. Everything was nice.
- N824JMgraceb00Fantastic Food TourThe food were great! Tour guide Jongkie was so friendly and knowledgeable, and took fantastic photos of us!
- zofiao91900Trying different dishesIt was such a memorable and amazing experience and our tour guide was so friendly and informative I will never forget her
- A1937NMtylerf00Great experience! We are expats living and working in Thailand. We went on “Thonburi Food and Canals Adventure” tour. The price was worth it once you factor in ALL the food you get and the boat tours. Our tour guide Jongkie made the trip amazing! She was very friendly and professional, her English was great, and she told us many facts about Bangkok. She showed us how to eat specific foods, and even recommended specific products, and explained how many of the foods were cooked. She was also great with our kids! I would highly recommend a tour with this company, and especially with Jongkie!
- dorond9800Great companyGreat experience . Tuktha was so knowledgeable. Not much walking involved . One river crossing for the last stop. I enjoyed all the stops we made . Got my money worth , great for food lovers with a big appetite and you get your full of history and Thai culture . Thank you so much BKK food tour .
- hubrissonic00Very local tour. See Thai countryside and peoples without going far from Bangkok. What a great tour. Started early driving out of Bangkok and went to sleepy train station in the salt fields where we at grilled banana and had coffee before taking a train into the town for the train market and then the floating market. Very local feeling. Amazing food. Our guide Olive was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed!
- 99nupurk00Great experienceAmazing experience! The food was excellent and Tukta was such an informative and sweet tour guide. My sister and I really enjoyed our time with her she’s the best!
- 467donnat00Delicious Fun by Tuk TukThis was simply amazing. Jongki was a fantastic guide. She was energetically knowledgeable and really fun. She ordered ahead, brought us to great places and knows everyone! The food was absolutely delicious. We got to try a wide variety of things we would not have known about on our own. The tuk tuk was a great way to get around and added to the fun. Flower market and rooftop bar too. You must do this!!
- maggie1m00A MUSTWe went on the Offbeat Floating Market Food Tour with Olive and it was our favorite activity of our 2 week Thailand trip. Olive was funny and knowledgeable at each stop she took us to. We started off our tour at a salt farm and then took the train into the train market -- AMAZING to actually get to ride the train into the market. Once we arrived we expored the market and then tried some local food at olive's suggestion. We went to three more markets, a cocunut sugar farm, and a temple on our tour and each was such a unique fun experience. At one floating market Olive got us a ride through a canal to the Cocunut sugar farm and we even spotted a big water monitor lizard. Lunch was so good and included butterfly pea dyed noodles! The final market we went to had the BEST street bites to try and very cool goods to purchase. My fiance had two of his favorite dishes of our trip on this tour. Olive was amazing and we 100% recommend this tour. if you have trouble booking through the website I emailed and asked directly about the Offbeat Floating Market Tour.
- Rdyreyes00I recommend this tour. Our tour guide Tukta was awesome. She took me and my wife to different places in historic bangrak district to taste different foods from no spice to a bit spicy foods including pastry, pork bbq in a stick while stroll through the streets, and we end it with a delicious ice cream. The food tasting is a must for first timers like us to familiarize ourselves with the level of spice in the food as well as it opened our views to different varieties of Thai foods.
- 107chaseb00Olive is the 🐐We had a food tour with Olive, and she was amazing! All the best food we tried in Bangkok was throughout this tour. Olive made us feel like VIPs, touring us through the restaurants and ordering all different kinds of thai food for us to try. It was all amazing. Would recommend to anyone visiting Bangkok!

We took this tour on our trip to Bangkok in Dec. We had a terrible experience. The food is not mediocre but below average. The first stop was at this no-name restaurant where none of the dishes were flavorful. It was not edible. When we entered, our tour guide told us that there will be fish but what we were served is a fish dish made of fish scales. We asked the guide multiple times that what is this because it didn't taste anything like fish. We were then taken to this noodle place where again the food has NO TASTE at all. We paid $160USD for such a less food and the food that has no flavor. I wonder how did they find these type of places in a city like Bangkok, which has such a good food.We had really high hopes from this tour as it has 5 star rating on Trip Advisor. After the rooftop bar, we left and didnt even go to the pad thai place. I wish they refunded our money. My husband and I reall think this is some sort of scam. Deeply disappointed and a waste of our $160 USD.

This Tuk Tuk tour was my third time touring with this tour company! After two years of lockdown, the tour cost increased due to inflation, and the tour was not as good as the last two times I had. The tour guide “Jonglak Kit” was excellent and took care of us, explaining and ensuring we had enough food! Many restaurants we visited were not given a priority lane as before, so we had to wait in line, and the food at one restaurant took too long, but the taste was authentic and delicious!! The new place that we had never been to with this tour was the China town aka “Yaowalat.” It was interesting to walk thru the crowd but so hot and humid even at night time. Overall I still love this tour and would recommend this tour for anyone that want to explore Bangkok if you have only 5-6 hours to spare! I deducted one star for time spent waiting for food and waiting in line.

We would highly recommend this food tour, especially if you are a first-time visitor to Bangkok. It’s a great way to explore the city, seeing some well known and less well known areas, and the food that you enjoy is amazing.
Our guide, Mod, was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. She knew a great deal about the food we were eating and was able to answer all of our questions, but also told us a lot about the history and culture of Thailand and the specific sites we visited. It felt like more than a food tour in that respect.
We loved all of the food we ate. We went on the tour at the end of a two week visit to Thailand but hadn’t tried many of the dishes we ate during the tour. We particularly loved the noodles with chicken and runny egg, eaten at a street food stall in the back streets of Bangkok, the Phad Thai, and the Chinese street food dumplings. All of it was delicious. There’s a LOT of food though, so make sure you haven’t had a large lunch!

This tour was amazing, a great way of spending 4 hours on an evening riding on a tuk tuk being shown the sights and tastes of Bangkok. Our tour guide was JONGKIE and she was EXCELLENT, very knowledgeable with the city, the foods, explaining the culture and in great detail how you can cook your food and tips on how to change your flavours, i’ll let Jongkie explain and not ruin the surprise.
We visited amazing street food locations which i cant imagine we would have every done on our own. We got to watch the food being cooked in the street which was amazing to watch. We visited a flower market which was a great experience and takes you very much off the normal tourist roads and also got to visit the Reclining Buddha Temple (although you dont go inside, but its nice to walk around late at night when its quiet and cooler).
All of the food was incredible (and i’m a fussy eater). The tuk tuk drivers and Jongkie kept the night running smooth and it is well worth the money. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had a blast doing the Bangkok Midnight Food Tour by Tuk Tuk with Chanya as our guide. The food was interesting and delicious and the Tuk Tuk made for an entertaining way to get from place to place. Our guide, Chanya, was a lot of fun and kept these loose on top of providing interesting information. The tour was paced well with some historical sites mixed in so we didn't get too full too quickly. We would highly recommend this tour and would consider other tours with the same company too.

My friend and I booked the midnight food tour because we had no idea where to start with Bangkok’s many excellent street food options. This tour turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The food was excellent and it’s very fun being driven around in a tuk tuk.
We had Chanya as our guide, who was informative, funny, and excellent at her job. Our tuk tuk driver was also excellent- we felt safe at all times with him driving.
We had a number of stops along the tour - a restaurant that served northern Thai food, a Chinese/Thai restaurant with a kitchen at the back that has to be seen to be believed, the flower market where we tried some delicious sweet treats, Wat Pho at night, a roof top bar nearby, a restaurant where the original Pad Thai was created, and some mini Thai sweet pancakes. You won’t be hungry at the end of the tour and you’ll leave feeling much more confident to navigate Bangkok’s many street food options by yourself.
Also, my friend and I were running late (Bangkok traffic - be warned!), so thanks again to Chanya and Art for their patience and responding to my emails along the stressfully late taxi journey to the meeting point.

This tour combines the fun of whizzing around the city in a tuk tuk, with some good food and a bit of sightseeing/culture thrown in.
The itinery is well thought out with the first two stops being food based and then an hour or so walking around the flower markets (amazing) and then onto an evening stroll to the temple.
After that it’s the roof top bar with great views and a final food stop. Your tuk tuk then takes you back to your hotel so no need to make your own way home! The only slight criticism is that we were a big group and got allocated as to who we had to sit with each time. Let’s just say I wouldn’t have chosen my dining companions!!!!!other than that - Highly recommended.

We thoroughly recommend this excellent tour. Our guide Mook, and great driver accompanied us all evening, and they introduced us to great food and sights we wouldn't have discovered on our own. Their organisation was superb ( even employing someone to queue at the final stop which is a small restaurant where you can't reserve a table so we didn't have to wait! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and we had a great evening. Arrive hungry!

Our family of four adults booked this well in advance during the busy tourist season. Print out the directions to the meeting point so you can show it to the taxi cab driver at your hotel. We taxied with no issues instead of taking the subway. Our group of approximately a dozen people enjoyed the evening with our awesome tour guide, Chenya. The food at the 4 or 5 places we visited was very good. When the tour was finished, our tuk tuks dropped us off at our hotel (Chatrium Riverside Bangkok) with no issues. Also, the price is reasonable for all that you get.

My husband was feeling ill so I went solo on the Midnight Food Tour with Tukta. The food stops were all delicious - we got to cut the lines at some of the most popular food stops in the city and taste the best fried noodle, pad thai and local fare the city has to offer. Tukta was very knowledgable about the city's history, each restaurant's history as well as cooking styles. The flower market and temple tours were a bonus. Highly recommend!

We are flying in to Bangkok today and wanted to do the midnight food tour tonight but we are not sure we can get to the meeting point by 7 is there any leeway with the time?

They generally wait about ten minutes only as there on a schedule but you could find out if you can meet them at the first stop off to allow you more time .

We are looking to book this tour on a Monday evening - as many of the vendors in Chinatown is closed on a Monday will this impact the tour in anyway?
Also, does the tour still include the visit to Wat Pho?
Thanks

Hi. They will not take you to Chinatown on Mondays. We tried mango sticky rice, fruits and desserts in Chinatown. They'll probably take you somewhere else to try those dishes. When I took the tour back in November, they did not take us to Wat Pho temple.

Hi.
I went on this tour a few years ago and I keep thinking about the delicious fried noodles with the egg made in the alley over the extremely hot open flame. Does anyone know that the fish is called?

Hi, are solo travellers allowed on this tour? I'm not sure as aditional information says a minimum of 2 is required for a booking, but other people have said they were or there were solo travellers

I was a single traveler and it was not a problem, The cost may increase since you would be a single and price is based on 2, that is an assumption but I am sure you can book.
Hope this helps as it was a very fun time and a good way to spend an evening.

What did you wear? it says no shorts, skirts must cover knees...I do not dress promiscuous but I don't want to pack anything more than necessary and we were not planning on packing any pants. Thanks for your advice
Ed R

To be respectful to the people of Thailand and their traditions, you should wear something that would cover your knees. You can buy a cloth wrap that goes around your waist and then take it off when you are done, takes very little room in your backpack. Only in the temple areas are they suggesting you wear long pants. Hope this helps, required no, respectful yes.
