Bangkok Chinatown Food Tour
Mar 2020
We were so impressed with Olive. She was a fabulous and considerate guide. Not only did we learn about the food but also the history of the area. From delicious seafood with curried river prawns, dim sum, guava, noodles of many types and flavours along with morning glory and desserts. More than enough food and truly a fun time. Highly recommend this tour to anyone. Olive came equipped with disinfectants for hand and table, as well! Street food at its best!

The places visited were fine however we felt that too much food was offered and we felt a bit guilty about not eating everything. Alice was Very nice but we had trouble understanding her at times.

Fantastic experience
Jan 2020
This was a wonderful experience, getting to try so many different street food options in one evening with our expert guide. She was excellent at explaining ll of the different dishes, did a great job of understanding and catering for guests' differing dietary requirements. The range of types of dishes was great - I would point out there are lots of stops so to get the best out of the tour it is well worth eating as little as possible before the tour so you can enjoy every stop to the full!

SO DISAPPOINTING
Jan 2020
Sorry to write such a negative review but this was a very poor food tour.
First stop was hardly a restaurant, we sat outside at some dirty plastic tables to be served a few noodles in what wasnt much more than hot water containing 3 small fish balls, for the vegetarians amongst us they got the same minus the 3 fish balls. Without going into too much detail by the third stop - a grubby fish restaurant with a very dirty floor and open bins by the entrance, it was time to make our excuses and leave which is what we did.
The whole thing seemed very poorly planned illustrated by the second stop at a kerbside stall cooking some sort of deep fried doughnut, where our host rather apologetically joined a 30 minute queue of locals waiting to be served, very embarrassing and perhaps unnecessary had the stall holder been advised in advance of our intended visit.
All in all it wasnt good and our party of 4 we were left feeling very annoyed and hungry having paid almost £200 between us for the dubious privelege.

Scrumptious, enlightening and friendly food tour
We had an awesome time on our Bangkok night street food tour of Chinatown/Yaowarat. Nuch was a wonderful welcoming guide. She made us feel comfortable and made it easy to ask questions. She clearly loves sharing her own love of Chinatown food with visitors. All the food we ate was made by businesses that have been operating for at least 30 years, some passed down from one generation to the next. From fish ball noodle soup (our favorite) to dim sum to Michelin starred donuts (with crispy chili pork or sweet pandan custard topping) to peppery soup (Nuch: “if you haven’t tried it you haven’t been to Chinatown”) to home made ice cream to sesame ball ginger soup (a dessert known as “eyeball soup 😉) - we enjoyed it all!! Plus Nuch is an expert street crosser, very necessary in Chinatown. We would never have been able to experience this on our own. Thank you Nuch and Bangkok Food Tours!

So much food! So much spice!
Jan 2020
We had a fabulous time with our tour guide Nuch, who speaks amazing English and loves chatting about food, Chinatown, and Thailand. It was just two of us on the tour, and she took great care of us, asking for our spice preferences and even providing us with handwipes after particularly messy fare. Even better, she knew all the tips and tricks so that we didn't have to wait in long lines with the rest of the Friday night Chinatown crowd (although, to be honest, we could've used a little extra time to digest!). Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Bangkok.

Fantastic evening on Yaowarat Street
Nov 2019
Our guide Alice did an excellent job taking us on this multi-faceted walk in Chinatown. We learned so much from her about Thai culture, life, and food. There were around 6 or 7 stops, so we were quite full at the end. Highlights: river prawn Tom Yum soup, pork noodle soup from a street cart that only does that one dish, and does it perfectly. Also coconut ice cream. Even the bitter gourd tea was fun to try.

It was a pleasure to get this introduction to Thai street food, and to our extraordinary guide.
