- michelle z00Full boatThe boat was extremely over crowded and the staff were lovely, unfortunately James Bond island was closed, so had to stay on boat. Phi phi is so overcrowded now with boats it’s such a shame to see it like that. All I can say is the staff were great but not worth the money, to many people on board and the places you go are overcrowded and ruined by tourists
- Elena_Norway00AverageIt was great having a personal driver take us around to view the Grand Palace and Temples. We had a guide as well, but her English was difficult to understand. Also she was speaking from behind her face mask which made it difficult to hear what she was saying. The tour was not very well organized either. We had to wait for the driver every time we were finished at a site. We had to wait also for the tickets while the guide was standing in line. Not sure why all this logistics couldn't be organized in advance regarding tickets and melting points. We tried to make the best out of the tour, but I would not recommend it. Not worth the money.
- chos201800Memorable & Historic Ayutthaya Full Day TourThis UNESCO site is nice to visit with many histories and sightseeing. View is good too. We managed to know quite a lot of stories about the palace and the temples that we visited. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable about the places and able to tell us quite in-depth about the history that took place many years ago. Her explanation made us understand a lot about the King, Queen and the war that took place many centuries ago. She is also kind enough to take photos for us and also bought us joss sticks for praying. She also waited for us while we spent some time roaming around. She also introduced to us the local dessert Roti Sai Mai of Ayutthaya and bought us a packet to have a try on it. It was very nice and we will always remember this unique dessert. Overall, the tour was indeed a remarkable one for us.
- Gren j00Over and aboveTour Guide went well out of their way to pick me up and make the tour happen. Smooth tour, great sites and flexible. Highly recommended for those stopping by on a long transit as a way to fit in some sightseeing. Street food and flower market are fantastic experiences. Would recommend.
- helen c00EXCELLENT TOUR!!! Puk and Mr Krit were right on time, and early morning pickup - but sooo worth it!! Totally recommend!Tour guide Puk and driver Mr Krit were perfect hosts! From the time they collected us to the time they dropped us off, they kept us informed and shared local knowledge along the way. They accommodated a slight change to our plan to allow for the train ride which we sooo appreciated. Long day however very much worth it! Thankyou!! 🌻
- Adrian W00Take yourThe tour guide [a] and the driver was great for this trip. Provide information and items to look at. She walked the full 3 levels with us and took pictures
- Bonnie R00Ayutthaya is not to be missedAir was a lovely and helpful guide and she was so flexible with our need to keep the kids in good spirits with cool down time and rest and water. We had a wonderful time learning about Thai history and visiting the ruins of Ayutthaya. Thank you!
- K8758REandrewt00Great half day tour for those that want to see the main temples and GP.Aye was a great guide! She was helpful with our other plans as well for the day even after our tour ended. We battled the heat but it was a great tour seeing the main sites in town.
- MLecaroz00Perfect tour of Bangkok’s “musts”This is a perfect tour of Bangkok’s “musts”… Our guide “A” was timely, knowledgeable, sweet and went out of her way to accommodate our interests. She was also a great driver in this crazy traffic. She made everything come alive and beautiful with her explanations. Great intro to Bangkok with a reasonable time covering all the “musts”. Thanks “A”!!!
- vin0jr00Awesome tour!My guide was Ms Kularb Bureerat. Super knowledgeable, friendly and organized. Saw everything I wanted to see. She let me explore and was always clear on timelines and meetup spots.
- WillTravelForFood2100Amazing!Wonderful tour guided by Ms. Aye. She is extremely knowledgeable and welcomes questions about Ayutthaya and Thai culture. Felt very taken care of and had a great experience! Would definitely recommend!
- LeaneC47900Excellent way to see the Major Sights in Bangkok in a day. This was an excellent way to see The Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra, Temple of the Golden Buddha, and Chinatown. Our guide, Aey, was superb. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a superior experience. In addition to the major sites, she walked us through the flower market. She was a wealth of knowledge and also accommodated our requests to see Queen Sirikit's Textile Museum at the Golden Palace. It was very hot the day we toured the city and she made sure we had plenty of water and were comfortable. We also had an excellent driver. Aey also pointed out major government buildings and other sights along the way. Highly recommend!
- robertcJ3643XC00Great Day packed with history and beautyOur private tour from Bangkok took us to the major sites of Ayutthaya, all presented and explained wonderfully by our tour guide Aey. We had a nice lunch, got great photos and really enjoyed seeing a Songkran elephant parade! Thank you!
8 of us booked this tour and they came to pick us up in a 10 seater van at the hotel. Our guide, P’ A was very friendly with a lot of knowledge about the historical sites in Ayutthaya! She always took care of us and tried to make sure that everything is ok with our group and always gave us a nice smile. I’d definitely recommend her as the guid!! They picked us up at the hotel and brought us back to the hotel and they made our trip very easy!! There were cheaper tours of other companies, but I t was definitely worth paying them the amount!!
- jamiey41100Awesome experienceGreat service! We knew exactly where to find them! The vans were clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Our guide was lovely and very friendly but unfortunately we could not understand her well. We were collected from our hotel, car service was excellent. We started by driving to Chinatown and the flower market and walked along the main road for about 10-20 minutes. We then visited several temples and the palace. We had a 15 minute boat trip which was disappointing as had expected an hour trip along the canals as specified in the tour description. We were then taken for lunch to a floating restaurant with open mass catering buffet, basic food and drink choices. The tour ended after lunch and we were taken back to our hotel.
Overall I expected better for the price paid - a guide with good English, tour as described and not the much shorter version we received, better quality food.

My cousin and I flew to Bangkok while we were on vacation in the Philippines for a quick 3 day visit.
The first day we went to Chinatown to try the street food and were completely overwhelmed by the crowds, traffic, & not knowing where to go or what stands to try. That night we decided it was best to take a risk and book a private tour to see all the “must see sites” in the city and boy are we glad we did!!!
Our tour guide, Siri was absolutely amazing! She arrived at our hotel on time with the private car. The car was clean, air conditioner was on, & she even had cold bottled water for us.
During the tours Siri was very knowledgeable about the sites and could answer any questions we had.
The Temples we went to were very busy, but she knew exactly where to go & where to take the best pictures.
Lunch was absolutely delicious. They had a western buffet and an authentic Thai Buffet. The Thai food was divine. I absolutely loved everything I had to eat.
The boat tour on the canal was a lot of fun and I felt like a bonus.

With only two days in Thailand, on a recent 18-day/five-country Asia excursion, I needed to make the most of my time. This tour was great; I saw all the major sights in Bangkok in a very efficient manner. Highlights included the Grand Palace, Wat Pho (home of the reclining Buddha), the Golden Buddha, a canal cruise (a chance to see how real Thai people live), Wat Arun, and the flower market. At the buffet lunch, which is included, when I originally chose perhaps not the most adventurous choices, my guide encouraged me to sample some of the other dishes, and I ended up falling in love with a fish soup that she had recommended. I also learned a lot about Thai history (and current events) throughout the day. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe throughout the entire day with both my female guide and male driver (both of whom spoke English). I recommend this tour -- especially if you have limited time in Bangkok or for a first-day introduction to the city even if you are fortunate to have a longer stay than I did.

Our guide and driver picked us up our hotel and negotiated the early morning traffic to our first stop, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, we spent about an hour here with all the features and points of interest being explained before being picked up and taken to the second stop, a wander around the flower market, which as a gardener, I found fascinating! We did the Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha, Emerald Buddha, and had a brilliant lunch at a corner cafe.
After this we walked to the 'canal' for a boat ride. The canal is the river flowing down through Bangkok and was extremely busy with huge barge traversing it and too choppy for my partner!! We walked to the ferry boat instead and crossed to the Temple of the Dawn, the last stop before finding our driver and heading home.
A full day with excellent descriptions throughout, loads of time for photos, and rest.
A great guide who knew her stuff and was very thoughtful and accommodated our needs!!

I did a private one day tour of Bangkok on August 7 with Ms. Supatsara Wonghong (Ms. A) and Mr. P (our driver) with my group of 4.
It was amazing! We saw so much and Ms. A was so knowledgeable and was able to tell us so much more about the temples and Buddhas than we would have learned on our own. The accommodations were great as the private van was air conditioned and Mr. P was always right there to pick us up. Ms. A was great at taking pictures of our group and making sure we got the best experience possible.
I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see all these temples and Buddhas in one day!

I thought I had found the perfect solution to my challenge: Limited time in Bangkok? (yes!) Private tour with English speaking guide? (yes!) Price quoted on website reasonable? (yes! not cheap but a reasonable amount more than the half-day tour I would have otherwise considered)
So when I decided to book, it was the day before I wanted to have the tour. The 'check availability' feature on their Viator website is not dependable; it showed no availability that weekend but since I was determined to do this, I called the number on the website. I don't know where that call center is but it seems to be a central number for multiple destinations run by this broker, Viator, I asked for the next day, Saturday, full-day private tour citing the product number beneath the phone number and he said good news, we have availability (contrary to the online calendar).
So desperate to book something--I had been caught up in business meetings the entire week and only had this one day of free time--I said ok, let's do this. I was SHOCKED to hear he was charging me more than $100 over the advertised price. He quotes $342 USD, which is (I am Canadian) $442 CDN. That is objectively ridiculous. I should have hung up, I know that now. But I accepted it.
The next morning, my guide showed up at the hotel a few minutes after 9 AM. She was lovely, and took me to the air-conditioned Toyota van, a Sienna I think but I didn't check, introducing me to the driver she called Mr. Wut, who did not speak one word to me, assuming he did not speak English. At all.
The guide was lovely and tried her absolute best to please me, I concede that 100%. My low rating is not a reflection on her but on the organization, Viator Tours.
I am not an athlete, far from it. In fact I have wonky knees and cannot walk for long times or distances. So I was challenged to walk, and walk, and walk, in tremendous heat and humidity, as the guide took me to temple after temple and the worst was the Grand Palace where I thought I would faint from heat exhaustion. To her credit, she took me to the Golden Buddha (the first stop) via elevator when I told her my knees were not very dependable, I was so grateful for that as there are a lot of stairs there.
She was an expert on Thai Kings and Buddhas and spoke at length about both subjects. But other than that, I found it difficult to ask any questions, her English was limited to kings and Buddha. She was flexible enough--hey I paid enough to have a customized version of this thing--to cut out more temples and more walks. I eliminated a walk in Chinatown--a ride through was fine for me--and a stop at a souvenir shop, so I was dropped back to my hotel at 3 instead of the planned 5 but that was completely my doing as I cut the tours off when I realized how much walking was in store.
So long story short: don't accept the inflated price that doesn't match the website advertised price.
But at least I saw things in Bangkok I wouldn't have otherwise.

Our tour guide Giamo was wonderful and gracious! She was very knowledgeable and had a sweet personality. We visited many highlights of Bangkok from the Golden, Emerald and Reclining Buddha temples, Chinatown and flower/vegetable markets, longboat ride down a residential canal to the Grand Palace. We went at our own pace and never waited long for the car/boat to take us to the next attraction! Lunch was a buffet aboard a docked boat with many Thai food options. This tour was a great way to see Bangkok in a day.

This was a great way to visit all the ‘must see’ spots when my time was limited. While the temples were very interesting & beautiful, the cruise down the river in a long boat was the calmer & cooler highlight for me.
Tour guide Emy was fun & very knowledgeable. I have to give a shoutout to the driver for calmly navigating his way through the very dense BKK traffic. He was awesome!

Aey was nice and good. She explained everything. We had water bottles Free and she even bought us flowers and food. The restaurant were we ate for lunch was good too. Best pad thai we ever ate. Going for a private tour was great because we had control of the time and was able to do all the temples because Aey knows were to go.

Hi, I’d like to book a private full day tour for my partner, Michael Davis, who will arrive at BKK at 10:30am tomorrow, 15.Nov. He departs at midnight, so he would would need to be picked up at around 11am and dropped back at the airport by around 9 or 10pm. That gives him 10-11 hours in Bangkok. How much would that cost for a private guide and car? -Richard

We are a party of 4 coming to your port on the Holland America Westerdam. Do you take people from the ship? We need a tour with limited walking because one in our group uses a cane. She can walk steps but would need a railing most of the time.

I would definitely ask them for a better price. I was alone but it is the same resource (1 drive and 1 guide) for 1 as for 5 so you should really insist on a better price. Good luck! (and make sure the guide can speak your language)
