    What to Expect
Your personalized walking tour of Bangkok starts in the morning with pickup from your hotel. You'll use local means of transportation — BTS Skytrain, private long-tail boat, public express boat, and tuk-tuk (three-wheeled motorcycle) — to explore some of the city's cultural attractions.

Among the highlights are a visit to a fresh flower and vegetable market as well as a traditional village. Stop by a Muslim mosque and Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha). A boat ride along the khlongs (canals) of Bangkok shows you more of local life.

Conclude your customizable, 5-hour tour at the BTS station at Siam Square, from where you are free to enjoy the rest of your day.

Entertaining evening with tasty northern Thai food
If you got tired of street food, this is a good place to have a relaxing and entertaining dinner and to rest your feet a bit. A good variety of Thai food served in small bowls with free refill. We find the food tasty and the place is clean. Its garden is also beautiful at night with lanterns and stalls selling Thai handicrafts. The drinks are reasonable priced. The performances are OK, not those big scale ones like in Fantasea, Phuket. They should continue to keep the prices affordable so that they can get diners in volume to keep the place afloat.

    Oh why, oh why??
Agreed to do the floating markets because husband had not been. Did the same market 6 years ago, disliked it then, but went along this time expecting it would be different (but all along knowing it wouldn't be). I found myself becoming irritated, to the point of no return. The one hour boat trip was excruciating and seemed three hours long. The best bit was the short home stretch when the boat could travel at speed and we actually saw some families getting on with their daily business. Highlights were a large five foot long iguana on the bank, and two children playing in the water. The floating markets are a complete tourist rort, over commercialised, all about capturing maximum tourist dollars whilst pretending to be a real market. Never again!

Don’t go you will be ripped off
I can not say more than what I wrote above honestly for someone who has no experience about the place will be ripped off My wife and I once arrived was picked by a tour guide we just asked to have one hour ride on one of the boats they charged us 2000 baht along the way every shop stopped us we decided to compare a price so we asked about a bag priced 400 baht at platinum centre in Bangkok the answer was 1800 baht here you go I asked the boat man to get us back he never listened just stopped at every shop trying to sell us until he took us to his Mum’s shop both persuading us to buy .... here I asked him to get me back immediately ... it took us about 2 hours 15 minutes to reach the place with the traffic for the sake of curiosity I asked a Thai guy how much we should have paid and the answer was 150 baht each ... nothing more to say

What to see the floating market.
We had a wonderful time sailing down the river to the market. very interesting if you enjoy a good food market. It was a long trip for a short ride but worth it overall. and recommend various street foods and vendors without being too pushy. It was the best welcome to a foreign country.

SCAM. Our "Tour Guide" had never been inside the museum before.
We were picked up from our hotel in a van and driven to the museum where our tickets were purchased for 200 baht each....about $6. It was just me and my mom, although we were expecting a "small group", we were happy to have a private tour HOWEVER....when we got into the museum, we were instructed to walk around and "ask if we had any questions". Very odd for a supposed "tour" of the museum. Fine, we walked and then asked a question...the girl giving the tour walks up and bends over and simply reads the placard!! This happened a few times. She knew absolutely nothing about anything in the museum. There was no tour, she wasn't even qualified to answer any questions. I have had wonderful tours of different European museums and loved them. This was NOT at tour. Very awkward and bad customer service.

    Our first time in Asia
To make the most of our few days in Bangkok, we booked tour services through Asia World, where we had Tan as our most wonderful guide. He met us at the airport and along with Bing (our driver), got us to our hotel upon our arrival. Jet lag pretty much wiped us out for the rest of the day. Day 2, we saw 3 temples, The Golden Buddha, (a Buddha image at 3m tall of 18k gold), the Reclining Buddha (not the biggest but the most beautiful of Reclining Buddha images), and the Marble Temple - with an excellent gallery collection of Buddha images to compare regional and temporal differences. Day 3 he took us to the Train Market, the Floating Market, a local organic coconut farm where we got to watch them harvest coconut flower juice (sap), and cook it into syrup, oil and sugar. The lovely host family graciously showed us their traditional family home, shared sample tastes of the fresh coconut water, gelee and sugar. Tan also took us to Ooga Booga coffee shop for an amazing local organic lunch. It was so delicious! We felt so well looked after and provided for. Tan took great care of us with good advice, the right directions and helpful tips and suggestions.

    Above and Beyond Tour Guide!
Belle was fantastic from the moment she picked us up from the airport! She showed us around Bangkok and took us to the greatest Thai restaurant we’ve ever had. She was always willing to explain the history and culture of Bangkok, take our photos (and not be afraid to tell others to move), as well as show us places off the beaten path. She took us to all the places on our agenda, but also tailored our trip to places she thought we’d enjoy. I recommend her to anyone traveling throughout Bangkok. Belle is one-of-a-kind and will make sure the only thing you need to worry about is enjoying your visit.

Breath taking and a very good experience:
The drive is about 60 to 90 minutes from Chiang Mai centre. Our first stop was at a tribal village. Then we proceeded to the temple. The temple is very beautiful with lovely statutes of Buddha. The temple is on top of the mountain. You can walk up the steps. The elevator is recommended. In an hour or so you can finish the tour of the temple. I had taken the tour with the tourist desk at CH hotel. It worked out at 500 Baht for the half day trip. I was extremely pleased with my visit and I highly recommend this tour to visitors.

Full day private tour from Chaing Mai to Chaing Rai and the Golden Triangle.
Yesterday we took a private full day tour with Asia World Enterprise from Chaing Mai to Chaing Rai. The day is long starting at 7 am and runs for at least twelve hours. This really a road trip as you will spend approximately seven hours in the minibus. The key is to have a good guide and we hit paydirt with our guide, Poongki, who has excellent English, a keen intellect and a great knowledge of Thailand. Along the way Poongki explained the history of each region, the economy of the area and the importance of what we were viewing. The trip is very much about temples, a visit to see how the hill people live and finally to the Golden Triangle. Highlights: great scenery, interesting history and our tour guide. Low lights: its a long time in the bus after dark.

It was suppose to be the highlight !
First, I always see the best in everything! Without a doubt the crew, dancers, and CAPT tried really hard to make it all work and give us a memorable time. The problem; overpriced, overpriced. The boat canopy is too low to view to beautiful scenery take pics. The food is good but, serving hot food on a open boat and charging top dollar can be challenging. Finally, The atmosphere was very canned and staged to the second, so just chilling out to watch the scenery had no time in the schedule. Monetarily, I pre-paid the meal plus tip and was expected to give another tip upon docking, I declined. My suggestion: buy a drink cruise only and see the sights at night, then go to a rooftop restaurant and dine in elegance!
