About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ChloeB17990 contributionsAn active and interesting way to see BangkokI did this bike tour on my second day in Bangkok and it was an awesome way to get a feel for the city and see how locals live. No one else had booked for the day, so I basically had Arne as my personal guide and he was great at answering my questions and explaining things along the way. It was so much fun biking along the little alleyways, through housing areas and along canals, seeing lots of interesting places and taking in the sights etc. There were a few cultural stops as well as lunch and a bit later, a drink at a very picturesque coffee shop next to a canal, where I also fed the fish - highly recommend this if you get the chance! At one point there was quite heavy rain, so we put on some waterproof ponchos and took shelter for a while and soon enough it cleared up. Biking was a good activity for the humid weather here as you do feel a bit of a breeze, but I’d still recommend wearing light and exercise-friendly clothing! I opted to wear a helmet as I’m a safety conscious kiwi, and I felt safe at all times, even when biking on some quite busy roads. Most of the time, you are biking in quiet areas, but at some stages you are on city roads and going through busier parts. Overall I would definitely recommend this as a fun and interesting way to see the less touristy side of Bangkok!Written October 9, 2024
- SFJLJ0 contributionsFun adventure!Family trip with young adult [children]. Bike ride is not for the faint of heart (or inexperienced riders) since it is a little over 15K and on some narrow and roughly/unpaved areas, and through some light traffic. Great fun with physical activity. Did not try to make us stop at pre-arranged vendors to get q kickback. Arranged a hotel transfer with the tour company who found us a driver for less than the estimated cost that a “Grab” taxi cost ($500 from Sukhumvit hotel for 5 people that took 1+ hr). Bike ride included stops at…. (1) local [wholesale] food market which was really interesting compared to all the other markets we went to - tour guide is local with excellent English and able to tell us / answer questions about the local foods, spices, customs, etc (2) Visit a temple that didn’t care about us wearing shorts (unusual since we have been to 10+ temples); learned more about Buddhist temples and customs than we learned from a former monk who gave us a tour in Chiang Mai! (3) Good customized (I’m a pescatarian) lunch along the river (4) A couple of water breaks (purchased cold water from local vendors), and a snack break to try Thai fruits and snacks, along the way, Explained how to open/cut and traditions. 7 speed cruiser bikes that were in good condition. Owner/operator is Swedish so his spoken/written English is excellent. Highly recommend!Written August 13, 2024
- mke0wn0 contributionsFantastic Bike TourWe had a brilliant time with excellent guides. Welcomed us warmly. Tour was great. Fascinating stop overs. Got a rich insight into Thai culture. Great value for money.Written August 6, 2024
- lindaoY4553EH0 contributionsSo interesting! We were looking to do something a little less “touristy” on one of our days in Bangkok and this bike tour was perfect! We went through some real-life neighbourhoods we never would have seen on our own and the trip to the market was fascinating! The bikes provided were easy to ride and in good condition and the places we stopped for lunch and coffee were great experiences. If you are looking for a bit of adventure, we heartily recommend this tour!Written June 25, 2024
- remok4450 contributionsHighly recommended hidden secretsThank you for this Tour. We've been guided to so many secret places by unknown path, saw behind the big roads the real life and the local living. Very good guided and informal, bikes are comfortable and well maintained. Thank youWritten April 25, 2024
- alysonw9870 contributionsA great way to see the Bangkok most tourists won’t see. Highly recommend. What a great afternoon this was! Hard to believe we were still in Bangkok. Arne was an excellent guide, we had plenty of stops for things to see plus refreshments and the cycling was easy in that it was flat but challenging in terms of some narrow tracks and 90 degree turns.Written February 22, 2024
- Z2331NOrobertm0 contributionsSuper fun and relaxing bike rideSuper fun bike ride through beautiful neighborhoods to see west side of Bangkok- great stops for local coffee and treats from local market -we walked through guide explained fruits and other foods/very interesting explanation at temple about the old to new and Buddhist and beliefs of Thai people in everyday life- great lunch at a fun restaurant on canal-Written February 7, 2024
- tamarakoermer0 contributionsFun adventureA fascinating look into the lives of ordinary citizens of Bangkok, far from the normal tourist spots, along the canals, railways & narrow passageways. Loved the fresh market..every kind of veg, fruit, animal, fish & mineral I could imagine. Arne was a kind & insightful tour guide. The bike maneuvering was trcky in some places took nerve, steady hands & balance.Written January 28, 2024

- K6785JTstephenp0 contributionsBackstreets of BangkokThis was an amazing view of the backstreets of Bangkok. So much that you don’t get to see from the road. Interesting houses on stilts, intricate canal routes, some funky art, good insight into the way people live. I absolutely loved this tour. It was my first day in Bangkok and really opened my eyes.Written January 1, 2024

A great welcolme when we arrive, a pleasant bike tour in quiet places. We have discovered a real part of the Thaï life. So different as other proposal as we have used before. We had also a great moment of fun and exchange . Bycicling on small allees was funny also. No risk and now we drove as Thai¨people. Just a recommandation to Arne, add more details as to find your location. Need more. Per chance local people knows and there so gentle, It's help a lot. We wish you the bestWritten November 13, 2023
- N7391BWrachelc0 contributionsA Great ExperienceWhat a great experience! I am so glad we booked this trip as, like other reviewers have mentioned, you get to see a completely different side of Bangkok. Our guide, Polly, took us through back streets, on canal paths, though markets, down alley ways stopping at various points to explain places of interest. We visited a beautiful temple and a small local factory where some incredible craftsmen made the most beautiful bowls. At no point did we see any other tourists which was great! Lunch was delicious and the cycling very straightforward. Our bikes and helmets were great and the whole trip was very well organised. Thank you Arne and Polly for an unforgettable experience in Bangkok.Written November 10, 2023
