A great way to see a different side of Bangkok
Would highly recommend this trip. Got to see a side of Bangkok that i didn't know existed and bikes are a great option that let you cover a lot of ground in the allotted time. Arne was super helpful and the tour itself was really enjoyable and interesting. Included lunch was also really tasty.

        Brilliant morning in Bankok
Our guide Polly took us on a brilliant journey through the quiet alleys of Bankok. She was friendly, personable and very professional. We had plenty of stops with drinks and a delicious lunch. I am a lady of 65 years old and I managed the ride with no problems during a very hot morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are wondering if it a possibility for you, I would highly recommend it.

        Bike trip in Bangkok
We had an amazing bike trip through the more unique part of Bangkok, far away from the bustling traffic and hectic life. This is west of the river and you are able to cycle along canals, jungle and jack fruit trees. We had a super guide, Jobe, that was really good in English and had so much local knowledge. If you are looking for a different experience in Bangkok we definitely want to recommend this😁

Fantastic and so much fun in a relaxed way to explore the city.
Very enjoyable endeavor. Great way to see the backside of Bangkok. Felt very taken care of even biking down the streets. Lots of stops, very easy to do and very enjoyable.

If you enjoy an authentic experience - see Bangkok by bike
This was indeed the most memorable experience of our visit to Bangkok. Seeing Bangkokbybike is a must on your to-do-list! Outside the reach gps and google maps you will be taking a fantastic bicycle ride with a knowledgeable and competent guide. Away from down town pulse this tour provides a different insight how the Thai people live around the water wayside and canals. A very well organised trip by Arne - good bikes, English speaking guide, nice lunch and a super long boat trip. With his pleasant personality our guide Bas just blended in our group of five and we had a great time enjoying the scenery as well as hearing stories about the Thai society, religions, architectural traditions etc. Highly recommendable to all ages able to ride a bike.

        This is something special!
This biketour took me to places and experiences I would never find myself. Our guide "Sugar" was very informative and made funny comments under way. He never lost track. I can recommend the trip but have some comments. Practical information: Information service very good! Via e-mail the company gave me personal information which made it possible to join up the meeting point in time. It took me 1,5 hour... Phone number to call when the cab driver did not understand English very well was handy. Equipment: The small bikes were good adapted to the tracks we biked, with many narrow passages. Gears worked good enough. The helmet was old and hard to adjust. The biking: We were generously supported with fresh water bottles during the trip. Speed low and relaxed. Security: Some of the biking was counter the traffic direction and not so safe. The tracks passed houses and obstacles like sleeping dogs, people hanging sleeping over their chairs. It took full concentration! Environmental comment: This is a really a low impact activity! Except the longtailed riverboat no fossil energy were needed! Food local based menu

        Lot's of fun!
The four of us joined the morning tour. Guide Bas(ketball) took us through the back alleys of Western Bangkok. A very genuine local area even though it's just across the the bridge from the Khao San craze. We also biked some of the tiny elevated concrete roads along the canals and beautiful green nature right in the middle of this metropolis. We made a few stops for interesting narrations from our guide and even a mug of hot coffee. On our way we had some wonderful interactions with locals at one of the many temples and at a local market. Lunch at another, but very original temple was included and delicious. All in all, we had a great time. There are many biking tour companies in Bangkok and during our visits to Bangkok we had already tried a few of them. The small scale and personal touch from this company makes it stand out from the rest. Yes, we highly recommend!

        Nice bikeride with enjoyable guide
We took the 4,5h tour last saturday, we were the only guests. Arne is a nice and interesting tourguide, knows his city and speaks English fluently. We’ve been to lovely green places that you wouldn’t expect in this big city. We surely recommend this company!

Great tour all up close to the Thai way of living
We had a great morning tour and really enjoyed seeing some of the less touristy places in Bangkok. The tour is very safe and we where not scared once while biking in the city. Would definitely recommend.

        Just amazing!!
This was one of my highlights during 2017 in Thailand. Bicycling in Bangkok wasn't the first thing I thought of until a friend invited me in. So great to bicycle around and see places and things you never would see otherwise. Great guided tour by a Swede. If you are in Bangkok and can spare about 5 hours, this is a must. Definitely worth the price.

This tour is highly rated for a good reason. We learned so much about the city and really loved our guide, Jobe. Although there is lots of traffic in this city, our bike ride was completely on safe roads.

Thanks for your review! Yeah, Bangkok is a hectic place and it looks impossible to even think about riding a bicycle in this city. But as you noticed, we have found some quiet areas and less busy streets, which makes the whole trip almost like a big surprise.

We didn't book a tour and just showed up at the office and luckily someone was there to help us arrange a tour the same day. Our guide Sugar was lovely and took us through some very unique places and showed us how they lived in Bangkok. I only have good words to say about Sugar and Bangkok By Bike. They take care of you and make sure that you have plenty of water along the trip and you get a lovely lunch midways. We really enjoyed our time!

Thanks for a nice review. You have only good words to give us and I am very pleased by that. However, I would recommend everyone else not doing like you did. It is unlikely to get a place just dropping by. We have a limit of how many passengers on each tour and how many before we need an assisting guide, so adding people the last minute could be hard for us. Everything turned out well this time, so good enough. But please make a booking in advance next time. Better for everyone.

We were 2 and joined a group of 4, so ended up being 6 in total which was the right size. The bikes are comfortable, and our guide (Sugar) was very knowledgeable and eager to share his culture. The whole tour is very well organized, and is about 15 km, but you really don't feel the distance, as there are many stops and always more to discover along the way. The small streets along the canals are really narrow and fun to ride. I never thought there could be so many people living along the small canals in what seems to be a completely hidden part of Bangkok. Just for that, the experience is really worth discovering. Finally, it would have been great to have a little longer time at the floating market. You can either browse and look around, or shop, but not both in the allocated time.

Thanks for your review. Well written description of our afternoon tour. I note your wish of a longer visit at the floating market. It is very different how long time people prefer to spend there, so 20 minutes is a kind of compromise. If someone needs a bit longer, it is not a big deal, just talk to the guide next time. I beg your pardon, if you felt it was too rushy.

The ride was awesome! I met a nice group of people from Australia, England, Switzerland and the United States. We had a great time together as a group. It was great to meet people from all over the world as we toured through Bangkok. The tour of back roads throughout Bangkok seeing all of the culture and people behind the scenes of the big city of Bangkok was an eye opening experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a very good education about the culture of Thailand. The bike path we traveled was a nice challenge of twist and turns through back alleyways and tight walk paths. I recommend this ride for anyone who is interested in learning about Bangkok.

It was an awesome tour and itinerary is carefully crafted to see neighborhoods, where ordinary people live in Bangkok. You wouldn’t get to those area even with local friends. Our guide K. Sugar was wonderful! I’ll book them again upon my return as they offer 2 routes, I noticed. Thanks K. Arne, too.

If you are looking for the path less followed and off the beaten track, then this is the bicycle ride for you! My guide, Arne, who was also the owner provided me with a personalized tour, and l wasn't disappointed. A visit to the local market and Temple were perfect resting points from riding. Arne also had a better raincoat for me to use, and it was a lifesaver for the last 15 mins of the journey. The rainy season doesn't end until the second week of October. He also took the time to show me how to get home via the MRT/BRT cheaper than using a taxi. Make sure you know how to not only ride a bike, but also manage the gears, as it will come in handy for the tight corners, alleyways and riding on the road, sidewalks and uneven paths. 😃

What a great experience! I am so glad we booked this trip as, like other reviewers have mentioned, you get to see a completely different side of Bangkok. Our guide, Polly, took us through back streets, on canal paths, though markets, down alley ways stopping at various points to explain places of interest. We visited a beautiful temple and a small local factory where some incredible craftsmen made the most beautiful bowls. At no point did we see any other tourists which was great! Lunch was delicious and the cycling very straightforward. Our bikes and helmets were great and the whole trip was very well organised. Thank you Arne and Polly for an unforgettable experience in Bangkok.

Family trip with young adult [children]. Bike ride is not for the faint of heart (or inexperienced riders) since it is a little over 15K and on some narrow and roughly/unpaved areas, and through some light traffic. Great fun with physical activity. Did not try to make us stop at pre-arranged vendors to get q kickback.

Arranged a hotel transfer with the tour company who found us a driver for less than the estimated cost that a “Grab” taxi cost ($500 from Sukhumvit hotel for 5 people that took 1+ hr).

      Bike ride included stops at….
      (1) local [wholesale] food market which was really interesting compared to all the other markets we went to - tour guide is local with excellent English and able to tell us / answer questions about the local foods, spices, customs, etc
      (2) Visit a temple that didn’t care about us wearing shorts (unusual since we have been to 10+ temples); learned more about Buddhist temples and customs than we learned from a former monk who gave us a tour in Chiang Mai!
      (3) Good customized (I’m a pescatarian) lunch along the river
      (4) A couple of water breaks (purchased cold water from local vendors), and a snack break to try Thai fruits and snacks, along the way, Explained how to open/cut and traditions.

7 speed cruiser bikes that were in good condition.

Owner/operator is Swedish so his spoken/written English is excellent.

      Highly recommend!

Bangkok is not the most bike friendly city but this bike tour gave us a unique and wonderful experience. I've biked all over the world from tokyo, san francisco, new york, cote d'azure, istanbul, etc. but this ride was unique. It's along an elevated concrete pathway within Bangkachao, the tongue of land around which the Chao Phraya river curls as it flows around Bangkok. So, it's in Bangkok, but doesn't feel like Bangkok. Ride through mangrove forests and listen to the birdcalls and watch the monitor lizards scurry away. Our guide, Kan, was patient and most helpful. About 12 kilometers, all flat, more than half in the shade. A unique experience..
