Eat your way through one of the world's largest Chinatowns on this Bangkok food tour. The bustling neighborhood offers an overwhelming number of restaurants, and your guide will take you to some of its best. Sample Thailand’s take on Chinese specialties like dumplings, dim sum, pork noodles, tea, and doughnuts at tucked-away places that most tourists never find. A small group limited to 10 means plenty of personal attention.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and small group at Bangkok’s central Hua Lamphong train station, bordering Chinatown. Listen to a brief history of the area as you stroll among a maze of streets crowded with vendors, shops, and restaurants. Get a local’s perspective on Thai-Chinese cuisine and culture as you stop to sample typical dishes such as dumplings, peppered pork noodles, and a refreshing coconut drink.

Learn the ins and outs of eating dim sum, visit an eatery frequented by the Thai royal family, and dare to try the notoriously pungent durian fruit from a well-known vendor. Satisfy your sweet tooth with Chinese doughnuts and other desserts, and finish up with a fancy tea demonstration. By the end of a tour, expect to eat enough samples to make up a filling meal.

Interesting diversion from the usual tourist activities

Katy was my guide & I was the only one on this "small-group" tour, so I got a very personalized tour to appeal to my specific tastes. She was great. Chinatown itself, like much of Bangkok at night was a chaotic mass of people.
