Floating Markets Day Trip from Bangkok
From $45.25
Low Price Guarantee
Experience authentic Thai culture on a Damnoen Saduak Floating Market day trip from Bangkok. Unlike other Damnoen Saduak tours, this experience includes an exhilarating ride on a long-tailed speed boat, which transports you to the rural location with efficiency and ease. A guide reveals essential information about the market’s history and produce, and teaches you Thai phrases that help you interact with locals. Convenient hotel pickup and drop-off are also included.
What to Expect
Your day trip begins with pickup from your Bangkok hotel, where you’ll board a vehicle destined for Damnoen Saduak. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to a long-tailed boat and speed through marshes and past atmospheric stilt houses. En route you’ll receive a comprehensive introduction to the culture and history of the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
Cruise past floating stalls selling fresh produce and exotic fruits while your guide explains the origin and use of particularly unique ingredients along the way. For an additional cost, you can purchase souvenirs and opt to take a ride on a local boat.
After sufficient exploration of the market, return to your Bangkok hotel via boat and bus.

In general: I would recommend you to do another floating market. This one is far away, expensive and not authentic. It's a souvenir market and you have to pay extra for everything. The text from the vendor does not match the experience, so you don't...More

Not worth the 2 hour drive. Definitely a tourist trap, things that they sell are overpriced. If you have a lot of time in Thailand, go to this one. Otherwise, avoid it.

Unless you want to tick things off a bucket list, surely avoid this one. You will spend 70% of your time in an overpriced van. The market is fake and just a callback to older times.More
