    Very disorganized
Very disorganized. There were 7 similar cruises, all meeting at the same location at 7 different desks, and no one could tell you which cruise was yours without trial and error. This was not a relaxing event, but nonstop entertainment and no real chance to see the lights of the city and enjoy the river. I would not reconnect any of these cruises but would prefer a long tail boat tour instead.

    Great show
Very good show. Good seats. good view. good actors. Great outfits. They danced non stop. The show started exactly at 7:30 and went on till the end. They interacted with guests which made the show even funnier

    Long Day
The temples were really interesting. Donna our guide was very enthusiastic but her English was not good. We weren’t informed that it was another hour’s drive back to the river cruiser. The cruise buffet was good, plenty of food and very tasty. Arrived back to Bangkok about 3.30, earlier than expected.

    A little rushed.....
Our boat was called Smile Riverside. The cruise provided a buffet and entertainment including traditional Thai dancing. It was worth the money to see beautiful Bangkok lit up at night however as it is only 2 hours long it felt a little rushed with everything happening at the same time ie people walking around the buffet and across the stage whilst dancers were performing (no ones fault) also it kind of became a choice between, getting some food, watching the entertainment or seeing the sights rather than being able to enjoy all 3. Still a great night but it would be good if tables went up individually for food rather than the long queues and if everyone had food and was seated in time for the beautiful traditional dancing..

great and good and very worth the while
5 very nice the accommodations were great easy to find my tour bus Once I arrived. I guess I just kind of stumbled into the right place there was not really a sign there? Once we got underway our true guide was more than gracious full of pertinent and factual information. And an enduring story about himself and his chosen career. Combinations on the bus were great after the visit walking around outside in the heat we were greeted back at the tour bus with cool fresh towels and a bottle of chilled water. The river Cruise was delightful and the buffet was more than more than adequate. The staff were helpful and being able to replenish my battery before we docked back at the Riverside.

    Mediocre
Mediocre experience. Put it this way, the best part was that they showed up on time. The guide did not speak very good English and I didn't feel like I learned anything. She barely told us anything about where we were. I would not recommend this tour at all.

    Absolute hell on earth.
Absolutely total rip off horrific toxic fume filled experience. If you want to spend the worst time of your life then waste your money on this. £40 for 1 hour on a diesel powered long boat trawling stenching canal water with people trying to sell you mass produced tourist trash...then barge your way through a diesel fumed long boat traffic jam for an hour...burning your eyes and swelling your tongue. A disgrace. TripAdvisor for health and safety reasons please do not promote this experience. There were families with young children crying and babies in arms with parents trying to protect thier young from the toxic hell... A disgrace to describe this experience anything but horrific.

    Fantastic Day Trip
Fantastic day trip, very well paced and timed. The first half of the traveling by bus and seeing Ayutthaya was comfortable and the sights were beautiful. The river cruise from the countryside into Bangkok was really interesting, seeing how the riverside has developed. Lunch buffet on the boat was fantastic, far better than we had expected. Tour guide Donna was very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended!

    Boring with no storyline
Boring with no story line or theme. Choreography was not in sync, music was repetitive. I’ve been to better shows put on by amateur dance schools. Expected to be dazzled but was ready to go after 10 minutes.

It’s ok and interesting with little excitement.
Tour was an hour late for departure. Sites were somewhat interesting to walk around. Not much guidance on the ground at the site. Lunch cruise was ok. 3.5 star.

    Good tour
Tour guide was knowledgeable, bus was comfortable. Pick up was punctual. However, time at each stop could be shortened by a little bit as lunch was a little late.

Do not waste your money on this tourist trap. The morning of our tour started out well with an on time pick up at 8 am. We were driven to three temples but all were rushed. Our guide was very knowledgeable but annoyed if we had questions or wanted to stop and read something. We spent about 15 minutes in each place and found that the reason we were rushed was to make more time for a tourist shopping trap. By 9:45 am, the “tour” was complete, but we were lead to two different “recommended” shopping places by our tour guide. We were first made to enter a tailor shop and pushed into buying clothing. When we politely declined we were asked to consider more options. After that, we were taken to a gem factory and made to sit through a presentation followed by being lead through their store. Another guide from the same tour company rolled his eyes at us for not buying anything.

Overall our “tour” ended 1 hour early as weren’t interested in being hustled. Ended up taking a tuk tuk back to Wat Pho to finish what we missed the first time.

Dear Ashley, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to correct a couple of your “misleading” comments, thereby giving the readers a more accurate impression of this tour, which rates very well in TripAdvisor. Firstly, if your tour began at 8am you began 1/2 an hour early. (Being a Private Tour, obviously you were fine with that.) It is advertised as being a 3hour tour, so I’m not quite sure how you worked out a 9.45am finish was 1hour early. (Possibly it didn’t actually finish at the time you claim?). There is no “misleading” in taking to Gems Gallery. If you booked through TripAdvisor you will see that Tour East has advised very clearly that the tour finishes at Gems Gallery. If you did not book through TripAdvisor then it is unreasonable to accuse Tour East of not providing you sufficient and accurate information, as Tour East makes it very clear to all agents that this tour finishes at the world’s biggest jewelery and gem store. *As your tour had finished upon arrival at Gems Gallery you were not “made to sit through a presentation” or “made” to do anything because you could have immediately changed vehicles, which is why you stopped there, and left (which you apparently did do eventually). I do regret that you felt “hustled” at Gems. But I cannot understand why, if you felt this way, you chose to stay and didn’t just leave? In fact, I’m not sure why you chose to take a tuk tuk from Gems when complimentary transportation was there for you (whether it be to take you back to the hotel or back to the nearby Reclining Buddha)? As you did not advise of your dissatisfaction with the tour guide, or the contents of the tour, during or immediately following the Private Tour I cannot investigate and make further comment. Should you wish me to do so, please feel welcome in writing directly to me. (Knowing the date will allow me to check the records as our vehicles are fitted with GPS and monitored accordingly.) Kind regards, Christopher Operations Manager - Tour East

The menace of Chinese mainland tourist has completely destroyed the charm of these beautiful places. The peace and tranquility is broken by thieves hordes of cackling Chinese tourists. They donot listen to their guides. Only photographing selfies and loud heavy decibel talking. We were trying to understand the various phases of temple development since Rama 1. The second aspect is the Tuk Tuk and Taxi drivers. Both these groups are cheaters and crooks of Thailand. Like India meter is just a show piece and everybody is a big commission agent. Beware of these lot for solo and family travellers. Chinese comes in Buses of 60 travellers each and speak only their own dialect through their tour guide so for them they can take over Thailand without doing anything.

I was disappointed at the end of this tour. Not only is there no lunch break in between the tours, but I did not enjoy it very much. I would prefer that our guide tell us ALL the info before we entered the temples, but she hovered the whole time & talked throughout even when we were trying to pray. We didn’t go to the final temple because we wanted to grab some food to eat. They picked us up at 0830 in the morning, by 1200, we have to get nourishment otherwise we’re miserable and it was not fun. I don’t know about the last tour since we returned back to our hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I’m not an early riser so afternoon tour worked for me. I got to see the temples I wanted to see, however there was no walk in Chinatown. I believe that was because one of the guests on trip wandered off to 7/11 for a snack and we lost a half hour waiting for him. Guide properly reprimanded him and we continued on. Nice stop at jewelry store but return from store by tour operator was poorly handled as they let van go when tour service drops you at store and then have another van deliver you to your hotel. Due to traffic we were dropped off a half block from hotel which worked for me but if you are mobility challenged, that might be an issue. Overall just an OK but I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Seemed a little rushed.

Great and efficient tour of the must see temples in Bangkok. Pearl was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide and gave us all good insights in both Thai history, culture and Buddhism.
A very hot day, but we were lucky as we had booked the early tour. Pickup and drop off at our hotel worked perfectly.

For years, everytime I stay in Bangkok, always do a tour of the Temples, visiting Wat Pho and Wat Traimit and some other
This time it was really the best visit I've done ever, thanks to the quality of the guide TumTum from Tour East Thailand, that I booked through Viator/TripAdvisor.
The visit was very complete, the guide explaining lots of interesting details I've never heard before in the precedent tours.
On the way to Wat Pho we had also the opportunity to stop a little bit in Chinatown as I'd like thanks to the great disponibility of the guide and the driver.
From all places we visited I have a complete and fantastic photo reportage, thanks to the skill and always the dusponibility of the guide Tum Tum.
I do recommend this tour, from Tour East, and the fantastic guide Tum Tum, to all travelers to Bangkok and next time I'll book my tours with them again.

We had Jenny as our guide and she was wonderful. We enjoyed a very comprehensive, yet leisurely paced tour (at our choice). We saw what we expected and Jenny gave us excellent commentary. The vehicle was comfortable. Jenny was also a great photographer, making sure we had plenty of group shots throughout the day. I'm sure we got to see a lot more than those traveling on big coach bus tours.
