Itinerary
- 1Wander through the narrow alleyways and enjoy the specialty street food. Try the delightful Taro Ball dessert, a sweet glutinous rice dessert which will make you eating one after another. After a day of sightseeing, rest your feet at a traditional tea house and sip on a Taiwanese tea while taking in the magical views of Keelung Port at noon or night. And don't forget to visit the famous A-mei tea house, which looks exactly the same as the one that appears in the famous movie by Miyazaki Hayao: Spirited Away.

- 18banana0 contributionsGo on the last few days of your tripAfter climbing the 300 steps of stairs, you won’t feel hungry anymore even if you haven’t taken your lunch. And through out your entire trip in Taiwan, your legs feels like jelly.Written February 13, 2020
- EliciaC270 contributionsJiufen and Shufen day trip with sky lantern experienceWe had a fantastic tour guide, Allen for this trip. He is great in explaining the sights and safe driver. Highly recommendedWritten December 15, 2019
- Lori A0 contributionsWonderful Tour with HenryAwesome day touring with Henry. The day started out raining and he was prepared with ponchos and umbrellas for us. Henry educated our group about Taiwan’s history and current events. Our driver did an excellent job transporting us safely. I’m very pleased with My Taiwan Tour and gladly refer their services. One thing that stuck me about Henry, he remembered one of our conversations in which I mentioned I wanted to buy fish floss. He found a vendor in the street market for me and I really appreciate his attentiveness! Also, the sky lantern session was so much fun! Henry chose a delightful lantern master and granny is the cutest assistant :)Written May 17, 2019
- Celia C0 contributionsGreat fun - avoid weekends if possible.I went with my husband and parents on a small guided tour which is worth it as you can more or less dictate your own pace. Our first stop was at Shifen where we released a lantern carrying our written wishes into the sky. While you are there don't forget to check out the ice cream in a wrap which is absolutely delicious. Our next stop s the Shfen waterfall. It's a reasonably easy walk to get to and once you are there you can choose to go on the observation trail (lots of steps!) or just from a viewing platform at the beginning of the trail both of which gives a good view. Our last stop was to Jiufen which unfortunately due to the rain we could see any views that day. In addition the crowd was carrying umbrellas so it was not pleasant trying to walk along narrow walkways. There was a bit of a welcome break at a teahouse which was relaxing and definitely woth a stop.Written February 18, 2019

- Victoria K0 contributionsGreat tour and great service!I travelled to Taipei with my parents who are older and my brother. We booked Alen to go on the day trip to Jiufen/Shifen and it was such a delightful experience. Alen was prompt, friendly, explained and answered any questions we had. He was also very knowledgeable of the area and voluntarily offered to take group photos at various sightseeing points. He was great at dropping us off and telling us what we can see, eat and do and was very clear about where we would meet for pickup. He was very mindful of time and overall so wonderful to us. My parents were very impressed at the tour and enjoyed it so much for their first visit to Taiwan. Thank you Alen! Hope to see you again!Written April 29, 2018
