- 807evelineh0 contributionsBeautiful tour to NamobuddhaI went on a tour with Bidur as a solo female guest. We did a 5h hike to Namobuddha. It was a very valuable experience because he takes great care of his customers. I also highly appreciated his explanations on the historical background of the sigths we visited and he could name all the mountains we have seen (and there were al lot, thanks to the wonderful weather!). It was a very pleasant and interesting tour. I will recommend him to my friends and family. This trip was a great experience and I really enjoyed it.Written March 13, 2020
- familyoffour1270 contributionsAnnapurna trekkingBidur was a great guide and porter for my trip on the Annapurna trail with my father. He had good local knowledge, was able to arrange things for us and was caring and went the extra mile when I needed help. Thank youWritten March 11, 2020
- 935skyee0 contributionsTourWe had an early morning start to get to the viewpoint in time. The view was great - if a little foggy at the time. We then went for breakfast and then began the walk. Bidur was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. The walk through the village was very easy and a good escape from the busy city. The mountains were stunning and we were able to get great views of the villages. Bidur took us on a quick walk through a more jungle part of the mountain which was very cool and allow us a different experience. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want to get out of the city and see more of the countryside. We only had three days in Kathmandu and we're glad we spent the time to go out here.Written February 19, 2020
- 162marikao0 contributionsGreat excursion with Bidur!Bidur emailed us the night before to tell us what time pick up would be the next morning (time varies based on time of year/sunrise). He showed up 5 minutes early and we were off! The drive up the mountains was very windy and bumpy but the driver kept us safe and Bidur kept us entertained. If you get motion sickness just pop a Dramamine beforehand and you’ll be fine! The sunrise was incredible even if the view of the highest peaks were smoggy (you can’t control the weather). Bidur told us the local names of each peak, their height, and distance from us. Don’t believe the locals when they tell you every peak is Everest! Bidur was also very informative about history and culture. We were given 2 choices of where to stop for breakfast. We chose the buffet location and although it was more comparable to US prices, we ate our money’s worth of delicious food. The restaurant was at a resort and the location was gorgeous. After breakfast we headed off to our hike. The hike was scenic and more of a downhill walk (but this is coming from 3 people in their 20’s). It may be trickier for those with knee problems. During our hike we visited a new Buddha monument and winded through local villages. Bidur was an excellent photographer for the 3 of us but also a great model himself (see photo attached). Our final stop was the Changunarayan temple. There were a lot of stairs so again keep that in mind. They were no problem for young healthy people. The temple was incredible and Bidur told us about the history and significance of each feature as well as some facts about the construction of it. The ride home was fast and smooth. It was a fun and eventful day! TIPS: Pack plenty of water and wear supportive shoes that can get a bit dirty. Also wear layers as the sunrise is much colder than the rest of the day.Written February 13, 2020
- Rajpou1230 contributionsBest local guide “BIDUR”I took 2 of my friends to travel nagarkot and around kathmandu valley, Bidur personally is so down to earth. His personality as a guide is so amazing.we had so much of fun with him. I highly recommended to go with Bidur. Wish him all the bestWritten February 13, 2020
- choldren80 contributionsBidur is a great local guide!I booked a Nargarkot sunrise trip only two days in advance with Bidur. Bidur and the driver promptly picked me up at 5:15am for the trip to Nagarkot. Upon arriving, we had tea to keep warm and then went to the sunrise viewing point. Although it was a cloudy day, I can imagine that the sunrise would be great from Nagarkot. Breakfast at Club Himalayan Resort was excellent, and it was worth the extra price. After breakfast, we began our hike to the Changu Narayan Temple. It was a peaceful escape from hectic Kathmandu and interesting to see a more rural lifestyle so close to the city. Bidur was a great guide the entire time. He was kind enough to answer any of my questions, describe the history of sites we saw, and always offered to take my picture. The hike was good exercise, and there were opportunities to take the car if you wanted to make it a shorter hike to the temple. Changu Narayan Temple is very peaceful and one of the lesser visited UNESCO World Heritage Sites. I definitely recommend taking a tour with Bidur if you want to explore Kathmandu! Bidur also does trekking tours and tours outside of Kathmandu. He can tailor trips to meet your preferences. He was one of my favorite guides I had during my time in Nepal. Highly recommend!Written February 9, 2020
- Herta B0 contributionsBidur took us to most beautiful spots in Kathmandu, Kopan Monestary, Great Boudha Stupa, Pashupatinath and many moreAnd he took us to Bhaktapur - He is the most courteous tour guide I have ever met. - Savagecamille0 contributionsExcellent Day Trips - Returning CustomerI went on 2 trips with Bidur. One with friends and one with family. He takes great care of his customers and it is a very enjoyable and easy experience. I got to see a lot of Kathmandu Valley and experience sides of Kathmandu I wouldn’t have been able to see on my own. This was a very valuable experience and I have recommended him to all my friends and would recommend him to anyone travelling through Kathmandu. Great trips!!Written December 27, 2019
- savagetravel220 contributionsY. SavageBidur came and picked up my daughter and I from the hotel for a day trip. This included a cable car ride to see great views of the mountains including Everest. Then a trek back down to lunch and a visit to the monkey temple. He is an amazing guide, speaks good English and was knowable and attentive. We enjoy our day so much I have now booked a three day trip to Pokhara with him. Highly recommend. Bidur takes care of everything and very reasonable price.Written December 26, 2019
- nessieba20190 contributionsGreat trip, amazing guide!I had a wonderful time traveling with Bidur for a day to visit Nagarot and hike in the nearby villages. Bidur is an excellent guide, he was really helpful, had a lot of good anecdotes and tailored the tour to what I wanted to visit. Thanks to him, I was able to see a different side of Katmandu and Nagarot. I truly recommend him.Written December 25, 2019
- Julia D0 contributionsThe best of Kathmandu in 3 daysThe program covers the main attractions in the Kathmandu Valley. It is perfect for those who have little time. My highlight was the trip to Nagarkot. At the viewpoint we could see the sunrise very well thanks to good weather. The following trek was very easy to do with normal physical condition. Fascinating were also the temples and stupas and to learn more about the different regions. Bidur was a great guide who could tell a lot about nature, culture and history. He responds to individual wishes and wants the guests to feel comfortable. The excursions corresponded exactly to the description and our expectations.Written December 19, 2019
- Jen13570 contributionsWonderful Experience! We had a wonderful time in Kathmandu thanks to Bidur! He helped lead our group on a sunrise hike, arranged and cooked a lovely dinner for us, organized an amazing scenic flight to see Mt Everest, and organized a tour of Bhaktapur. He had great advice and ideas about what we should do with our time in Kathmandu and he took great care of us. If I’m lucky enough to return to Nepal I will definitely book with Bidur again!Written December 1, 2019

The views were excellent and Bidur always found us the best momos and dal bhat. He was knowledgeable, experienced and a lot of fun.
