        Absolutely Perfect!
The trek was perfect from start to finish. So well organized, made sure I got souvenirs, had rides, good food, and a great guide in mr ram. Everything ran perfectly, and it was obvious it wasn’t just for the money but they truly wanted me to have the best experience possible, and that I got to the top! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Annapurna Base Camp Trek (9-days) - Second Trek with Icicles Team!
For our next trek in Nepal, my friend and I chose to go with Icicles again. They were fantastic the first time and even better this time. 👌 Indira is so lovely and responds really quickly to all our questions by email - and there were a lot of them! She is so helpful an makes sure that everything is organised, so you can feel completely comfortable. Meeting late at night at KTM airport, transfers, hotel room upgrades, flights to Pokhara - Indira and the Icicles Team were faultless 😊 We requested the same guide this time, Mr Ram, as he is great fun and very knowledgeable. When you are spending 9-days together, you need the right team. Ram guided us and his cousin, The Meg, acted as porter. They were fantastic, always smiling and laughing, everything was no problem, full of stories and very flexible to change the overnight stops. The route to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) is beautiful; from the warm bamboo filled countryside, up through huge valleys with steep-sided rock outcrops, out above the tree line and into the mountain bowl. The trek was not busy which was lovely. There are a lot of stone steps but you soon get in to a rhythm. The views were spectacular and the nature wonderful. We watched the sunrise at ABC and then dropped 2000m down that day - it felt amazing! There was no stopping Ram and The Meg - they have legs of steel! We stopped at different places on the way down which was great and met some wonderful people along the way. And when you get the end of the trail, there is the jeep waiting to get you back to Pokhara, just like Indira said it would be. We had a few days in Pokhara, with hotels, flights, etc all sorted by the ever helpful Indira - she ever met us from the plane at KTM airport. If you you go with Icicles, everything will be sorted and you'll have a great trip, with nothing to worry about. Thank you Indira🙏 Thank you Ram and thank you Meg 🙏. See you again soon.

My best every holiday - the Everest Base Camp Trek with Icicles
We went on the 14 EBC Trek with Icicles in January 2024 with our amazing guide Prakash Khatiwada, it was tough but we loved it. Prakash met us at the airport and looked after every step of the way, he kept us safe, made us feel welcome and cared for: taught us about trekking and the Himalayas along the way. His English is excellent and his knowledge even better, he was also very patient as I often asked the name of the same mountain several times, they do look different as you walk around them and the light changes. Parkash worked well with our porter Himshange to ensure every Teahouse was ready for us and to get us the best accommodation available, and I could see him moving from charming to assertive when Teahouse owners did not meet his expectations. They both ensured we had everything we needed, advising us on food, to both keep us well fuelled and healthy, bringing our drinks and meals to us (quality much better than I expected). They had a great sense of humour and did their best to keep us going on the tough days. It was clear that Prakash was tutoring Himshange, to bring on his English and give him a career path from porter to guide, hard not to be humbled by this. Our duffel bags were carried for us from our room to our next room, extra blankets found to keep us warm at night. Whenever we needed something one of them was there, and whilst Himshange wouldn't speak English very much he clearly understood a great deal. When my wife's hands got very cold Prakash was there giving her his water bottle to hold which had warm water in it. He took our pulse oxygen every morning and night, and was always checking we had enough water for each part of the trek, advising us on where we would get refills. Prakash had amazing abilities to spot wildlife along the way, he is also a master of the camera phone. He was proactive in managing our expectations, as you ascend everything becomes a bit more basic, and there is often no running water, we were never disappointed. Indira, the owner of Icicles, runs an great team, when we needed a guide to see the sites in Kathmandu at short notice, we got her husband Parashu. He was excellent and charming, and even came back to our hotel at 0600 on our day of departure to ensure we got away ok, he offered to come to the airport with us, but I wouldn't let him. Icicles service was humbling.

        Everest Base Camp Nov 23
The trip was extremely well managed with great support from all of the team at all times. The choice of hotel at the start and end in Kathmandu was very nice and well located. The selection of Tea Houses was really good and well placed along the trek. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable and helpful at all times. We were very well looked after by the guide and I felt that there was genuine care for us and our progress along the way. Would highly recommend going with them again.

        Highly recommend!
Excellent from the very start. We booked directly through Icicles, Indira was super helpful and made the process very simple. She even organised our pre and post accommodation and was very flexible when our flight got delayed. The trip was absolutely incredible, would highly recommend it. Our guide Ram and porter Razindar were both fantastic. I would definitely book through Icicles again if I return to Nepal.

        EBC - Woman’s tour
I did the EBC women’s tour in November 2023. I had such a fantastic time and met some friends for life. All the guides were fantastic, in particular Pooja who was great from start to finish. The sights were beautiful and the locals were friendly. I don’t really have anything negative to say, it was the trip of a lifetime!

The trek was absolutely perfect! Most of that has to be contributed to our awesome guide Raj who took care of our group and made sure everything worked smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about anything, so massive thanks for that! 10/10 would recommend

Langtang Valley Trek - Best guide, porter and overall experience
My friend and I were referred to Icicle Adventures by a friend who knew the owners. We had an amazing experience and this was in comparison to fellow foreigners I know who completed the trek as well as those who we met along the way in tea houses. Guide I am biased but our guide, Ram, and his brother-in-law Som (our porter), were the BEST guide and porter on the route. In many ways, our teahouse accommodations were unexpectedly superior to those in our 3-star Kathmandu hotels. Ram knew and pursued only the best teahouses which meant that we had hot water for showers (included in price), outlets and consistent power, private bathrooms. We didn't even use our power banks. Ram also optimized our route, taking us back a different route from when we arrived via Sherpagon which was beautiful. We were also the only trekkers who had delicious fresh produce every night. The most delicious, sweet, crisp apples I ever tasted along with sweet oranges sliced every night. We didn't realize until the end that Ram had packed and carried this produce throughout the trek. It took us a moment to realize that it was very difficult to find that kind of produce along the trekking route. I struggled with breathing a bit near the top (I have asthma) and as we descended, Ram stayed incredibly close to me. He knew before I did when my strength finally returned and I felt ok again. I also appreciated how kind Ram was to other people. At one point, a woman who owned a teahouse was reaching out to another guide along the path who was in front of me as we trekked and that guide just walked past her. However, Ram stopped to chat with her and took her card. It was a simple sweet gesture. On another day, Ram met another guide on our way down and told him that he was taking us on an alternate route via Sherpagon. The guide said he'd never been to Sherpagon but Ram encouraged him to take his trekker on the alternate route too and said that he could stick with our group. I LOVED how kind Ram was to everyone around him, always. Porter This was Som's first trip as a porter. He was retiring from the army and seeking his next career so he was introduced via Ram. Although Som didn't speak much English, it was amazing how much we were all able to communicate. His caring for us was so apparent every moment. There was a moment when I accidentally leaned into stinging nettles while making space for a mule train. Som was lower than me carrying my bag and rushed back up toward me alarmed. I always felt safe with both Ram and Som. Company I was really impressed with Icicle Adventures. Initially I was overwhelmed with all the options but when I met a fellow foreigner who told me about her friends, I was immediately sold. After it was booked, the experience continued to exceed my expectations. It was all the details that made the difference. On the last night, we were placed at the Ramada which is an incredibly nice hotel, complete with a 3 course rooftop dinner with Ram and Indira (company owner). The package also included gear that ended up being super useful: duffel bag which gave me significantly more packing space when I returned home. The quick dry t-shirt was great. Also this is a woman-owned company and Indira advocates for women as guides! In fact, Ram's daughter even completed an internship here. Differences (compared to friends who also completed trek with other companies) -best teahouses -fresh sliced fruit every night while remote -trekking bag quality (you can keep it and lets you take more things home) -kathmandu hotel on last night (pure luxury)

        Annapurna Circuit with Icicles Adventure
I had the most amazing time on this trek! Our primary guide, Lok, was absolutely incredible. He was the most patient guide, and we all had the best time with him. Sanjil, our other guide, was great as well. He was very excited and energetic, and made us all happy to be there. All of the tea houses and hotels we stopped at along the way were incredible, great food and nice rooms. The guides were very careful with getting us over the pass, and safety was always the first priority. We were properly acclimatized, and the pass felt good and safe. Overall, I could not recommend this group and these guides enough. I am already planning my next trek!

        Annapurna circuit
We have just completed the Annapurna circuit trek with Lok and Sanjil as our guides. Everything has been well thought out from start to finish and the last night group meal was a lovely surprise along with the company owner Indra. The accommodation has been great along the way, with a few hot gas showers added in at the tea houses and the hotel in kathmandu feels like a treat. Our guide Lok was very experienced and knowledgeable. He was always attentive and made sure we were comfortable, during the trek, taking lots of rests and also in the tea houses. I think it is great that they also monitor you for altitude sickness so you know you are in safe hands. A special thanks to our porters who helped along the way too. Overall, icicles have been a fantastic company and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again. Grateful to have had a wonderful group of people to spend 2 weeks with.
