Memorable experiences on Mardi Himal Trek made a treasure for my life
I had a lot of superb experiences on Mardi Himal Trek in Annapurna Himalayas with my guide, Prem! The trail full of diversity coming from elevation difference made me enjoyed thoroughly: deep forests where many kinds of lovely birds live; mountain sceneries with buffalos bathing relaxedly in a puddle or with yaks eating grass leisurely; mountains shadow emerging white in clear night sky filled with moon and sparkling stars; magnificent mountains views from rocky terrace in edge of a huge valley. Especially the most fantastic time was when looked up Machapuchare (Fishtail) mountain so close!! And not only the great nature in Nepal but also Prem arranged for me a homestay for one night at Lwang village to experience Nepali tradition and culture. I was so excited that it was a beautiful small mountain village with traditional houses and temples surrounded by endless terraced rice fields and by many tea plantations! Prem understanded well what I like and always made me have fun and filled my curiosity with his deep knowledge of Nepali nature, birds, culture, and Buddhism. And sometimes we had a really wonderful time singing or dancing to a Nepali music by folk drum with other Nepali people!! Because of these, highly recommend Samsara Trekking! P.S. Dear all Japanese people, I can tell you about state on local tours in Nepal in Japanese. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if you're interested in and like to know more informations about them. I'll be glad to reply your query.

beautiful trekking in Langtang National Park
In 2013, I had a beautiful trekking in the Langtang National Park with my husband and a group of Italian naturalistis. The experience was very interesting, not too hard (I am not an expert excursionist) and Raju, our naturalistic guide, answered to all our curiosities. Thanks to his kindness and competence, along with, of course, a breathtaking landscape, I highly recommend trekking with Samsara!

You can be rest assured that beautiful moments lay ahead for you
Namaste! When we started planning our trip to Nepal and we came upon Nepal Birding Holidays little did we know that we struck gold and we're about to have one of the best wildlife experience we ever had. As a small team of three professional biologist from Romania (one ornithologist and two botanists) our main goal was to see as many species and habitats as possible in one month, with the help of a local experienced guide (although we are well-traveled, this was for all of us the first time in Asia). Already, at this point, Prem amazed us by skillfully tailoring a personalized trip for us, best suited for our needs and financial possibilities. All along as we went through the different phases of the trip (from the Annapurna region to the Terai) we felt the blessings of the impeccable logistics provided by Prem and his colleagues. Basically, we could just focus on birds&plants, instead of worrying about technicalities. And then there was Bishnu (Raj), our designated guide, who proved to be one of the best birder and guide we have ever met. He was obviously extremely well-versed regarding the natural richness of Nepal and his knowledge extended well beyond basic bird-twitching as his observation regarding other fauna and also habitats were amazingly accurate and truly helpful in our endeavour to explore the wild side of Nepal. Not only that, but he turned out to be a very likable guy: besides showing a heroic amount of patience toward our approach to exploring nature (basically we tend to walk slowly and stop a lot for plants&other creatures, as biologist do) we instantly connected through our shared taste for fun and witty humor. Things kept getting better (and our species list growing bigger every day) as we moved from the mountain to the Terai region. If you want to experience the thrills of exploring the jungle on foot, Bardiya National Park is definitely the place to visit. Right at the edge of the National Park was Samsara Safari Camp, our base for the next unbelievable 8 days. The camp is quite perfectly suited in every sense for someone who loves nature: you have all the basic facilities, a wonderful catering and service from the staff (amazing food!) and all this in a very nature-friendly way. Just while relaxing and having a masala tea in the astonishing garden you can enjoy watching a lot of bird species fluttering about, not to mention the Gorkha beers you can enjoy in the tropical evenings :). And there was our local guide from Bardiya, Santa. We suspect he has some kind of black magic skills as he was able to locate everything we expressed a desire for, let it be a rare bird species or snakes. He also turned out to be a wonderful person to have a jolly good time with. Not only we added more than 300 bird species to our lists (and many more plants and other creatures, big and small) but even more importantly we found some new good friends in the person of Bishnu, Santa and Prem, who showed us just how wonderful the people of Nepal really are. After so much fun&thrills in just a short month we sincerely recommend to anyone (and especially biologists) keen on discovering the wonders of Nepalese nature and culture to choose Nepal Birding Holidays, Samsara Safari Camp and the company of expert guides&gentlemen Bishnu and Santa, as you will definitely not regret it! You can be rest assured that beautiful moments lay ahead for you. Anna, Judit & Matis, Romania, 2016

The absolute perfect way to see Nepal
I cannot recommend Samsara Trekking more. My husband, 1 and a half year old daughter, and I went on an 8 day trek with Raj. We knew we were signing up for an adventure, but we had no idea how special the experience would be. We met Prem ahead of time in Kathmandu, and he helped us tie up the loose ends of things needed before our trek. It was easy to get last minute hiking gear. Then we were off. Each night, we stayed in a home in a village along the path. The hospitality was amazing. We felt safe and welcomed the entire time, and Raj really helped us ensure that our daughter was taken care of, fed well, and stayed warm. One of my favorite aspects of this trek was that Raj found me something vegetarian to eat at each stop. I was scared to be "out in the wild" without proper food for so long. But we had nothing of the sort. I had some of the best home-cooked meals I've ever eaten on this trip. We also had to change our trek itinerary on the last 2 days, and because we were with Raj, he made it happen. Prem and Raj were recommended to us by friends who had an amazing experience, and after spending such special moments with them on our trek, we now call Prem and Raj our friends too. Sign up to go with Samsara. You'll be blown away by your experience and constantly looking for ways to go back.

Ultimate personalized service for our Everest trek
I emailed several outfits to organize a group to travel to Nepal. Samsara Trekking was the first to respond with questions to plan a perfect trip for us to Everest. I realized right away we found the right people to work with. Considering we didn't know exactly what we wanted to do, every step of the way was organized for us. Even after we had weather delays (to be expected) Samsara made alternate hotel accommodations and revised our tea houses on the trail. When we trekked as far as our schedule allowed we turned around and headed back down. Samsara Trekking made it all possible. I would love to go again hoping to get closer to EBC and would not even think about any other organization.

          My favorite family vacation ever
My family — a group of 7 (parents in mid 50s, kids ages 17-24) did a 4 day trip to Nepal with Samsara trekking and our guide Ramesh. We flew into Lukla from Kathmandu hiked to Namche Bazaar from there. we were all excited but extremely nervous and didn’t know what to expect on the trek, because while we are all physically active, we had never done anything like this before. We didn’t know how our bodies would react to the altitude, what it would be like, what to pack etc. Prem, very quick and responsive on email, was so helpful in every realm and put a lot of our fears at ease— from accommodating our (almost ridiculously) condensed itinerary to literally staying at the hospital with one of my members who had a (minor) medical incident. Ramesh our guide was the same— kind, knowledgeable and patient with us and completely dedicated to ensuring our group had a good time experience. Nepal is a beautiful place and I felt lucky enough to experience with people whose souls are equally as beautiful. Would recommend to everyone to use.

          Wonderful Annual Treks to Nepal
Prem, Raj, and their respectful group of Porters were great for our our trips. We took a trip with our 18mo old to Annnapurna Base Camp in 2010 and the Porters were fantastic with our son. The following year we took a trip to Gokyo Ri with my Father and had another exceptional trip. The guides knew good guest houses for us to stay in and we had a stress free trip. I would definitely use Samsara again if I get the opportunity to travel to Nepal again.

          wonderful trip
I've done a guided trekking some years ago and we were lead by one of the Samsara's guides. He was kind with us, even if we were slow approaching the Langtang valley. He was very good at giving suggestions and support whenever needed. He was a good nature guide, specialized in birdwatching. I really reccomend the tours they propose, for sure they are all worthy

          Annapurna and Mardi Himal trek
We enjoyed the most informative, carefully planned, fun and memorable adventure in the Himalayas with Prem and Raj from Samsara. They ensured each guesthouse stay was arranged, location for each meal decided and time/length of morning walk compatible with weather. We felt incredibly well looked after. Raj has a phenomenal understanding of nature and taught us lots about the flowers, trees and animals of the region. Prem has a professor-like knowledge of Nepalese history and Buddhist philosophy and we had many interesting discussions about religion and culture with him. It was a fantastic trip and I couldn’t recommend planning something similar with Samsara highly enough, thank you! I look forward to returning one day to go to llangtang with you both.

The comfort and situation of Samsara Safari Camp
Bardia National Park is situated across the river from Samsara Safari Camp, the Park gates are a short walk from the lodges at the camp. The Camp itself is made up of a number of comfortable lodges, each one is roomy and has clean western toilets and showers. WIFI Is available in most parts of the camp. The grounds are full of wonderful flowers and the owners of the camp take great pride in these gardens. The dining hall is large and airy, and the menu and food is good, there is a bar.The staff are very friendly and the owners live on site and are probably the most knowledgeable and helpful guides in the area. Because of the wildlife and proximity to the park, plus the way we are looked after, has made this a must whenever we visit Nepal. Recommended.

I travelled with my brother and met Raju through other UK trekkers highly recommending him. Raju is an exceptional guide and person. He guided us in Pokhara and in Chitwan on day walks. His knowledge of wildlife is simply incredible and his ability to see it and hear it when others can’t is simply amazing. We did two days of birdwatching walks in Pokhara and 2 days Safari in Chitwan. He took some stunning photographs for us too. He also was great company. He speaks exceptionally good English and has a great a sense of humour. He is polite and courteous and chose walks that were the right length and difficulty for us. He arranged logistics for us and visited us the days before at our hotel. He also recommended some excellent places to eat. I would not hesitate in recommending him and will trek with him again.

I spent 6days in Samsara, and if I could give more stars I would. Santa and Raju are the most incredible guides I ever met. Experts of birds and animals, they read jungle as others some book. The safaris were awsome, both by walk and jeep. We saw tigers, rhynos and lots of other animals. Of course it depends on luck sometimes but they know every places they appeares. Samsara is more like a family instead of a common Company - with kind people, funny talks around fire at night. I highly recommend who wants to see nature with the guides in the area.

5 day birding trip in the hills around Kaauke and Gadhi and Chitwan National Park. Prem and Bishnu are excellent bird guides and engaged conservationists. They are well connected with the local communities and organized homestays that provided a unique experience. Birding in paradise, especially Chitwan offers a wide variety of beautiful birds even in the birding off-season November. Thanks so much.

My wife an I did a one day one day tour to Phulchoki Hill with Samasara Trekking. Our guides, Prem and Krishna were exceptional! Very knowledgable about the birds, local ecology and wildlife. We managed to see a large number of birds including many of the specials for the area. I can recommend these guys unreservedly. Tour cost were also very reasonable.

We hired Raju as a guide on the recommendation of people we met in KTM. We wanted easy walks (as both had some limitations), some bird watching in Pokhara, and a bird and animal safari in Chitwan National Park. We were with Raju for 4 days in total. He met with us first to get our requirements, then created an itinerary to suit our needs. My brother and I (males in our 50s) really enjoyed our time with him. He is great company, with an excellent sense of humour. He knows his birds and animals very well, and took amazing pictures with his powerful camera of birds we saw and sent them to us on WhatsApp. He was well organised and punctual and - v important for us - seemed to take safety around tigers and rhinos, very seriously.

I would highly recommend his services! My tip would be to be clear about what you would like in terms of difficulty of walks, and how long you would like them to be, and explain your interests. E.g. walking, birds (and level, such as casual or serious), animals. If you can bring decent binoculars with you, you will get plenty of use out of them if you are bird watching!

Raju is also extremely well connected meaning he bumps into people he knows and that helps you make other connections locally, so you are getting much more than just a guide.

We only had one extra day in the Kathmandu area, and after scouring the internet, we chose to go birding with Nepal Birding Holidays. We had a wonderful day, birding on Phulchoki Hill and other birding hotspots in the area. Prem and Krishna are experienced birders, and their passion for birding helped make our day phenomenal. We saw more species than expected, and, well, we just had so much fun with both of them! We wholeheartedly recommend booking a birding tour with Prem and Krishna. And Bishnu was very professional and friendly in organizing the day for us. We also had the opportunity to bird with Sam, and found her to also be a stronger birder, and a joy to be around. Thanks so much to the entire team at Nepal Birding Holidays!!!

I went twice, once with Raju and once with Prem, around Bhaktapur and the hills outside Kathmandu. While I didn't see my goal bird - a monal - I had an excellent amount of species at the end of each day. It was not for lack of trying - these guys know their birds. Raju told me where I could find a monal on the Langtang trek I was going on a few days hence from that day. One of my highlights was seeing and hearing the White-Crested Laughingthrushes in full laughter. Another was a White-Browed Scimitar Babbler - Raju was very pleased to see that one!

Prem was concerned that I wear something dark so that I blended in, to not scare the birds - great suggestion. Not only were there good bird sightings, but we also talked about the environment in Nepal and the pressures of encroaching houses on the jungle. They are both very thoughtful people and deeply care about birds and preserving nature, as well as sharing this with others. I'm inspired to be even more conscious of my footprint after discussions with Prem especially.

I hope to go back someday to do a birding trek with them next time.

I did a solo 9 day trip on the "Golden Triangle" itinerary with Bishnu. I would definitely recommend this company and this itinerary to anybody wanting to see a good range of the bird species of Nepal, we saw 220 species, which I thought was excellent. I was very impressed with Bishnu's birding skills and tireless energy, he was continually working hard to find the more difficult birds. One of my top target birds was ibisbill, and after many hours of searching, Bishnu managed to find a couple of these elusive birds. I was also impressed that both Prem and Bishnu took the trouble to spend time with me both before and after the trip.

We traveled with Bishnu Thapa for 6 days; three days in Pihauli (near Chitwan), 2 days in Chitwan National Park and one day in Shivapuri National Park above Kathmandu. Bishnu is a super guide who knows the birds of Nepal very well and does everything to ensure that his guests get to see them. He also has a great sense of humor, so that trips with him are not only very interesting from an ornithological point of view, but also a pleasure from a human point of view.

Fantastic time with Raju and Prem and Sill exploring the Lang Tang , trekking to 15,000 ft , staying in tea houses along the way and discovering plants and birds and animals.
We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guides were passionate about the wildlife and very knowledgeable. Coming with them opened up the experience because they spot things we would have missed.
