Amazing Experience on the Manaslu Circuit!
I recently completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek with five friends, and I can't recommend Sherpa Expedition & Trekking highly enough! From start to finish, they had everything perfectly organised—airport pick-ups, accommodation, delicious Dahl Baht, and all the logistics taken care of. Every day, even the tough ones, they brought positive vibes that kept us going. One day, one of our group members suffered from altitude sickness, and Dawa Sherpa handled it, making sure he was looked after on the descent. Their support and expertise made all the difference. Absolute legends! If you're thinking of trekking in Nepal, this is the company to go with! We had the best crew: Dawa Sherpa and porters Kedar, Pasang and Norge!

      Manaslu Trek
Amazing trip, best crew: Dawa Sherpa and porters Kedar, Pasang and Norge! Everything was organised from the moment we arrived, airport pick ups, hotels, transport to the mountains, tea houses, meals, guides, days. An incredible journey and experience, big thank you to everyone involved!! Namaste! p.s. A dog followed us for 5 days which was fun, but not included.

      One amazing trip
I found Sherpa Expedition & Trekking while looking for a tour company willing to take my dad and I to EBC during monsoon season. The reviews sold us on the company and the tour surpassed our expectations. Ram was so helpful in organising and reassuring us in regards to our travel plans, knowing how risky it is flights will take off during monsoon season. We had the wonderful Furinji guiding us and Tilak as our porter. My dad and I have never trekked before, so the whole thing was new and exciting but we had no idea what we were in for. Furinji was so friendly, and knowledgeable, he was great at reminding us to rest when we needed it. And was happy to go at our own pace! Tilak was so helpful too, helping to dry our gloves by the fire when they got soaked by the days rain higher up 🤣 never mind the fact he carried two heavy bags up then down again!!! We had a wonderful experience with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. We did borrow the sleeping bags (used higher up they were clean and warm), poles (sturdy! Functioned well) and jackets (didn't need to wear them once) for our trip. The tea houses we stayed in were clean and warm with lovely food, and some much needed hot showers at Periche. On return to Kathmandu, on suggestion from Fuirnji, we asked Ram if he had anyone he could recommend to take us out shopping and for coffee. He had another one of his amazing guides meet us at the hotel and took us out for the day, my only regret is not remembering his name. He was wonderful, finding us the best haunts for some shopping for our family members. An absolute trip of a lifetime and we are so thankful to Ram, Fuirnji and Tilak for making it happen.

      Experience of a lifetime
Everest base camp trek is challenging in more ways than one but it's worth every hard moment for the highs! Not only of completing it but of being in company of the porters and guide: Wangchhu. He was so calm, reassuring, patient and knowledgeable and we felt safe in his hands. His energy meant we connected with him in such a beautiful way and his own personal life story that he shared stole our hearts. The teahouses we stayed in were surprisingly nice considering how high up you are and we always had decent food and drinks available. The company provided bags, sticks, sleeping bags and duffle coats that were all good quality. Don't overthink it just book - and you will be very lucky and grateful if you do it with Wangchhu as your guide!

      Annapurna Circuit Trek
(+) Our guide was Amrit and our porter, Pemba. They were absolutely exceptional at their jobs. Amrit clearly is a very experienced guide, he knew every step of the way, even if blindfolded. He was always easily available for inquiries, incredibly punctual and made sure we completed the trek safely. They have a very good high altitude acclimatization itinerary, including day treks to 3800m/ 4500m/ 5000m and going back to lower levels, so that you can ease into higher altitudes, diminishing chances of acute mountain sickness (AMS). Our bags always arrived at the tea houses before us. They've managed to transport my larger backpack, which I had left in Kathmandu, all the way to Pokhara, free of cost. This is a trek with a lot of infrastructure, so expect to have easily available food, hot shower, bed, toilets all the way. (-) During the first 3-4 days of the trek, you'll be walking on dusty roads about 70-80% of the time. Our first contact with Sherpa Expeditions and its owner, Ram, was really upsetting. He took us for a "trip meeting" in a dark room, where he explained our trekking plan in 10-15 minutes, clearly rushed, looking at a computer doing something else. It just felt like he wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible. By the end of it, we had a lot of doubts, Ram definitely couldn't convey a sense of security. In our booked itinerary, on the last day, we were supposed to get a jeep from Ulleri Village, that would take us to Pokhara. Eventually, we discovered that Ram had instructed the guide to take us all the way to Nayapul and get the jeep from there, which meant walking extra 3-4 hours. Our guide told us that he hadn't received enough money for the Ulleri jeep. Things ended up working out, so thankfully we double-checked that. Overall: Communication with Ram is honestly very bad, he's careless and rude. Although they ask for +/- USD 1100 for the trek, you'll end up paying extra 400-500 USD on "hidden" costs. They make you feel responsible for paying decently the guide and porter, since most of the 1100 USD won't be going towards them. Besides that, the trekking itself and the work of the guide and porter was exceptional. Relevant Information: - 25.000 NPR per person is suggested for additional expenses (extra foods, soft drinks, hot shower) - You'll need to tip both the guide and the porter. The suggested amounts are USD 180 for the guide and USD 140 for the porter per person. We were really upset by this, because we hadn't planned on spending this much extra cash - We were able to charge our phones for free in all tea houses, except for the Tilicho Lake Base Camp, so make sure to bring a power bank - Hot shower costs between 150-200 NPR and is available in all tea houses, except for High Camp - They provide sleeping bags, hiking poles and down jackets for free - They suggest taking cramp-ons (our trek was in May) - All tea houses have proper beds and bathroom available, which can be inside or outside the room. There's no heating in any of the accomodations.

A great experience from start to finish!
We had an incredible trip and were looked after very well every step of the way, from booking and planning with Ram to hiking and climbing with Gombu Sherpa and our amazing porter Nima. We also completed the Island Peak climb which was very challenging as our first altitude climbing experience but Gombu Sherpa was very patient and informative and made sure we felt safe and supported every step of the way. Lots of positive energy and everyone was always very approachable with any questions or issues. I hope to return to the Himalayas in the future and will definitely be looking to book with the same team again.

      Great experience with Sherpa Expedition
My friend and I had a great experience with Sherpa expedition and trekking. We initially booked following an informed discussion with Ram, who manages the head office and is very knowledgeable / able to provide answers to all questions. Our trek was led by Gombu Sherpa and assisted by Nima who managed our bags. The entire trip from start to finish was well managed and organised by Gombu. Even on our hike of island peak his expert knowledge allowed us to summit even with limited climbing and ropes experience. Would definitely recommend the company and if we come back to Nepal in the future we will book with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking.

      Great tour and guide
Such an incredible experience. I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek and had the pleasure of being guided by Dawa Sherpa. He demonstrated exceptional professionalism, knowledge, and enthusiasm that greatly enhanced the entire trekking experience. Daw had a good knowledge of the region. They provided fascinating insights into the local culture, history, and geography, making each day’s trek not just a physical journey but an educational one as well. Their ability to navigate the challenging terrain with ease and confidence made us feel safe and well-cared for throughout the trek. It was highly organized and efficient. From managing permits and accommodations to coordinating meals and transportation, everything ran smoothly.

Incredible trek, incredible Sherpa and team
Such an incredible adventure with the best Sherpa and porters we could have asked for! Whilst the trek was challenging at times as expected, the bonds we made as a group along with the most amazing views, helped to make this challenge a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you to Ngawang Wangchhu Sherpa who was so uplifting and inspiring! The team worked so hard and I am very grateful for the memories.

      Himalayan Adventure
I have no hesitation in recommending the Sherpa Trekking and Expedition company. The help I received in planning and organising my trek with Ram was second to none. He replied promptly, courteously and helpfully to all my questions. My guide was Nima Ongdi Sherpa, and my porter was his younger brother Pasang. I was lucky and privileged to have these Sherpa brothers looking after me. Nima was concerned at all times for my safety and wellbeing. He paced the route and amended the plan to suit me. Because of his professional care, I acclimatised comfortably and I enjoyed every section of this beautiful and challenging trek. Pasang was always joyful and attentive. They were both marvellous company during the hikes and in the long, quiet evenings in the lodges. Sadly, at my age, this is probably my only Himalayan adventure, but if I do return I will choose this company and insist on having Nima and Pasang on my team! Su P.

An incredible & unforgettable experience ❤️
Thank you SO MUCH for this amazing experience. We were lucky to be on this journey with the best guides alive, Lakpa and Pasang accompanied by a very friendly, always helpful team of porters Rangdu, Nuru & Pasang. From the first to the last moment they made this experience extremely memorable and we feel so grateful to call them our friends now. Lakpa was always there and made the greatest effort to make us feel as comfortable as possible. And he succeeded. Even when it came to difficulties regarding the altitude, he could not only offer great medical guidance but also emotional support and made us feel at home in an environment so different from our actual home. Him and Pasang always had a smile on their faces, sending positive vibes throughout the whole day, every day. Always looking out for us and our well-being. Thank you so much. It’s been amazing.

The 15 days trip to Kathmandu and the Everest Base Camp organized by Sherpa Expeditions has been amazing! We loved our guide Lhakpa and our porters Ngima and Balaram, they are/were amazing! Lhakpa is super knowledgeable and made us feel save and well looked after all the time. We weren’t lucky with the weather on the way to Lukla and Ram from Sherpa Expeditions helped us find a solution which it was very well appreciated as it’s never a nice situation to find yourself in so having someone providing solutions was great. If I come back to Nepal I would not hesitate to book with them again!

The Mount Everest Base Camp Trek was awesome. Sherpa Expedition & Trekking did a fantastic job ensuring our experience was truly memorable. Our plane was delayed by a day and they were able to adjust and provided a guide for the group we were supposed to be with and a guide for the three in my party. They also, because of challenging weather at the end of our tour, worked hard to coordinate a helicopter to get us back to Kathmandu. Our guide Lhakpa Sona Sherpa and our porters could not have been better. Lhakpa took great care of us, was engaging, and ensured we had the best experience possible. He is a true professional and my daughter had such a good time she hopes to return and take on some of the big mountains with him. The views along the trek were breathtaking and the people in Nepal were very friendly. I am almost 61 and although the trek was challenging at times in the higher altitudes it was not overly difficult and provided a great life experience. The trek was worth every step. I highly recommend this tour.

My husband and myself got in touch with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking company in Oct 2022. We did our Everest Base Camp trek in March 2023. We were very happy with the itinerary which they had made for us. Our guide Mr Raju Mainali was very professional with his services and made r Trekking experience very memorable one. He guided us in all the difficult trails as the weather was bad on few days ... - degrees n slight snow falls. We were extremely happy completing EBC trek with Mr Raju. It was a very memorable trek for us. We wish to do more treks in Nepal with them. Wishing them All the very BEST

Went on EBC trek with Sherpa expeditions and had the trip of a life time. Our guide (Lakpa Sherpa) and his team of porters were the best guides I have ever had... and I have been on a lot of these types of trips -- Nepal is my 55th country.
Lakpa is insanely knowledgeable and caring and always puts your experience and safety first. I felt like royalty during the whole trip!

Lakpa and the team are some of the best and most hardworking people I have ever met. It is hard to describe how much these guys hustle and how incredible they are! You just have to go for yourself to see!

We had an incredible experience on our trek to EBC! Our excellent sherpas and porters really made the trip for us - Lhakpa, Kamee, Anil, Bale, and Pemba. They were amazing! They kept a thoughtful pace, watched out for everyone in our group to make sure we all remained safe, consistently ensured we had the best service at the best tea houses, and were really fun and funny! I was traveling with 6 friends, and we all were so grateful we had such incredible guides to take us on this amazing journey to EBC. I couldn't imagine doing the EBC trek with any other guides/sherpas/porters. I would definitely recommend this team and this experience!

I did the Everest Base Camp trek from April 10 - 21 and had the greatest time. We were in a group of 5 and had no issues. We flew in by helicopter which Sherpa coordinated for us. Each day was a fantastic trek, made better by our guide Lakpa Sherpa and all the porters. He was very knowledgeable about the mountains, Sherpa culture, and focused on safety. Nobody in our group had big issues with altitude. Our oxygen was checked each night and we took time to acclimatize. Each day we had good food and adequate lodging. Lakpa helped us pace the trek so we never got too exhausted and stayed excited throughout. I highly recommend this experience.

I did the Everest Base Camp Trek in October 2023 with the help of Ram and his team and everything was great.

I had the best team of guides and porters: Khadga Tamang, Pasang Tamang and Lakpa.

I am especially grateful to my guide who accompanied me until I returned to Lukla airport, Khadga Tamang. He is an experienced mountain man who will help you safely through any difficulty and he is also very caring as a person and will thus constantly do his best to make the trek meet your expectations.
It is worth highlighting his excellent initiative of collecting trash found along the way to keep the trekking route clear. Thanks very much!

The most amazing experience of my life. Would not do this trek with any other company.
Ram in the head office was always quick in response to my many questions prior to arriving in Nepal. Everything was organised well once I was over there - from airport pick up and drop off, to the trek itself.

I had guide Santa, and our Porter Galje. 2 of the most amazing people in Nepal. Extremely friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable in culture and history of the area, and were always focussed on safety to ensure I could complete the trek in the 9 days. Brilliant guide and porter.

If you are considering this company, I would highly recommend, and make sure you get Santa as your guide.
