Very grateful for flexibility and thoughtfulness of the guides, porters and managers
We were a group of 3 friends and wanted to trek several peaks, not only the EBC and the managers and the guides were so amazingly flexible and willing to provide us best experience that we tailored the route and scheduled to climb also Gokyo Ri through Chola pass. We got all the beautiful views and at the same time the guide was very attentive as to our physical conditions making sure we made it all steady and healthy. Many thanks to the guide, the manager and the porters, wishing them more nice hikers to accompany during the great adventures in Nepal.

Our first hike, but now more are gonna come!
This was our first hike ever, and this sure makes us want to do more hikes in the future. Everyday we were astonished by different type of nature and scenery. Our guide was very nice and learned us about culture and religion. In the evening we were thought some Nepali games, which were very fun! He adjusted the trip to our needs. Our porter and guide really tried to make this experience the best it could be for us!

      Amazing Trek
The trek was absolutely amazing!! Crazy experience being surrounded by mountains constantly, sort of like walking through a painting. Also helped that the weather was stunning the whole time despite it being winter, not a drop of rain. Gombu (my guide) was a legend, made it super easy and straightforward, particularly with the teahouses where he took care of everything. He was also an amazing guide as we walked, talking about things we were looking at as well as answering my general questions about Nepalese culture. Honestly can’t thank him enough and would highly recommend the trip to anyone looking to get into mountain trekking!

A big thank you to Lhakpa, Pemba, Kamee, Anil and Bale, our sherpas and porters! A life changing trip.
We had an incredible experience on our trek to EBC! Our excellent sherpas and porters really made the trip for us - Lhakpa, Kamee, Anil, Bale, and Pemba. They were amazing! They kept a thoughtful pace, watched out for everyone in our group to make sure we all remained safe, consistently ensured we had the best service at the best tea houses, and were really fun and funny! I was traveling with 6 friends, and we all were so grateful we had such incredible guides to take us on this amazing journey to EBC. I couldn't imagine doing the EBC trek with any other guides/sherpas/porters. I would definitely recommend this team and this experience!

EBC and Gokyo Ri Solo trek
I've completed EBC and Gokyo Ri trek solo end September with Sherpa Expedition company, which I strongly recommend. Everything regarding the trek was smoothly taking care of by Ram. This trek was mainly made possible by Tamang pasang my guide whom I couldn't thanked enough. Pasang Tamang is one of the best, don't hesitate to ask for him, you will not regret. This guy knows everyone on the trek from porter to tea house manager and everyone knows him, this was definitely one of his strongest point trust me this was very helpful throughout the trek compared to the other guides. He's friendly, funny, very helpful, always ensuring that I was safe and sound, he looked for me well even when altitude sickness got me pretty badly. Ensuring that I was eating properly, he had all the patience in the world when I was exhausted. Basically I was not bored with him, he has a nice personality. Knowledgeable about the Himalayas, explaining and answering my questions throughout the trek. This guy did the extra mile to enable me complete the trek. I have no complaints at all regarding Pasang Tamang whom I strongly recommend. He is good hearted just like my porter Arnoj. Certainly, once in a life time experience. Thanks once again to Pasang Tamang and Arnoj for making this trek achieveable and memorable.

      Poon Hill Christmas
We did Ghorepani / Poon Hill over 6 days Excellent time of year to go Quiet, clear dry days - cool at night Easy to travel, eat, organise Christmas in the mountains - I don’t know why more families don’t do it at this time of year We had a family of 5 - we had a blast ! Excellent management by Ram Excellent guide - Karyan (Guide) and Porters (Kedar, Lila, and Goman) You could do it without a guide or porters - by why would you - this supports the local economy and life was made easier A wonderful family holiday

I want to thank sherpa expeditions for one of the greatest times of my life! 🙏 The whole journey was a joy and I would do it over and over again. Special thanks to my great guide Dawa! While we were laughing so much and joking around the wholetime I always had the feeling of safetiness and that you take your job very seriously. Not only in the situations that efforts more concentration, I mean in every second! You made this trip so wholesome and I learnt a lot about the culture, good nepali food, the natural habitat and about life because of you. Dawa and Ramesh both of you guys have a heart of gold. Thanks for everything again! Greets Jann P.S. If you want to have an amazing experience like I, ask in the agency for little Dawa bc there are 3 😄

      Everest View Trek
I did the week on November 20th 2023 the first few days of the Everest base camp trek, all the way to the Everest hotel view point. Thanks to our guide Rinji and porter Saila my dad and I had an exceptional trek. The trek in itself is exceptional but Rinji made it even better. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, amenable and kind. I will absolutely want to work with him next time. Same for Saila. Overall the experience with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking was very good. I had looked online for a very reputable and established company and zoomed on them. I was very happy with my choice. Ram from the office In Kathmandu was very professional, proposed multiple trek options based on what I was looking for, and was very patient and reactive answering my many questions. A big thank you also to Lakba who supported us the last morning when we left Lukla to ensure that we got into the helicopter safely to Kathmandu. Overall, an amazing trek superbly organized by Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. Thank you to Rinji, Saila, Lakba and Ram. I will work with them next time for sure.

      Trip of a Lifetime
We have just returned from the most amazing trip to EBC and can highly recommend Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. Ram couldn’t have been more helpful with the organisation of the trip and Lhakpa, our guide and his team of porters, were the most friendly, helpful, professional, caring, funny team you could possibly wish to meet – we can only thank then so much for making this trip so special! From start to finish we felt we were in expert hands and the equipment provided (sleeping bags and down jackets) were of the highest quality and kept us super warm. The trip in our opinion is very challenging both mentally and physically due to the altitude and cold but it was a life enhancing experience which we are both so delighted to have completed. We were blessed with the most stunning weather, blue skies every day apart from the trek back from EBC where it snowed!!! The scenery is absolutely breath-taking and will be engrained on our memory forever. The Nepalese people are friendly, humble and tremendously hardworking and to witness the porters carrying the most unbelievably heavy loads in such difficult terrain was truly inspiring. The trails vary from steep rugged, rocky paths to man-made steps and paving which give knees a serious workout. The terrain our guide rated as British flat (flat), Nepalese flat (very hilly) and Sherpa flat (steep uphill!!). We were amazed when we walked back from EBC to just see how many steep climbs we had negotiated on the way up!! The teahouses were chosen each day by our guide and they were all clean, welcoming, excellent food and chilly at nights. In summary if you are thinking of a trip to EBC just book it!!!! Ram and his amazing team will guide you through it! We hope to return and do another trek (when we have recovered!!!!!)

Incredible experience with a fantastic company
From the start Ram was really communicative and helped our team organise this trip of a lifetime. The transfer was seamless and Ram met us personally at the hotel upon arrival. We felt very welcomed. The kit was really good and given out efficiently after our sightseeing day which was quite the introduction to Nepal and the cultures that make Nepal so unique. On the morning of our trek Lhakpa Sona Sherpa met us and joined us for the flight to Kathmandu, ensuring our travels were hassle free and we felt at ease. Lhakpa had assembled a wonderful team to support our journey and we enjoyed their company as much as we valued their expertise. The trip was not without its challenges (personal injury and illness - so nothing that could have been prevented) but Lhakpa and Ram did all of the admin and arrangements to ensure some of our team got the medical attention needed. Their reassurances, insight and professionalism were most welcomed. Once the trek was over we had our celebratory dinner together with Lhakpa and it was a truly special way to end what was a trip of a lifetime (although as I write this we are already thinking of what our next trip to Nepal will involve with this fantastic company). The trip itself is a must for anyone who even considers doing something like this. The views are incredible and the feeling of reaching Everest base camp is hard to describe to do it any justice. We asked everyone in the team what their No.1 tip to anyone thinking of doing EBC was. It was unanimous in the group that booking with Sherpa Expedition and trekking was a must!

      Amazing EBC trekking
BIG THANK YOU first of all!! Great organization, - Ram always available and quick to communicate- everything worked smoothly and without problems, the lodges we were in were probably the best possible thinking about the restricted facilities, we even have the luck to fly over to lukla by elicopter! SPECIAL THANK YOU TO LAKPA SHERPA, Our guide, he was always nice, available, patient, specially with me being the slowest of the group!! He did all he can to make us happy and keep going!! Oxigen check was our favorite game at night (eventhoug it s not a joke up there)! And another HUGE THANKS to porters ( these guys are amazing and doing an incredible job) and lakpa granson Soyan who was with us all the trekking and helping the group a lot!!!! I don t want to compare with another companies as I didn t try, but my experience with sherpa expedition was simply perfevt and I truly recommend them!!

I cannot express enough how amazing this experience was. To see the Everest range as the sun rises was extraordinary and breathtaking. The trek to and from Pikey Peak was scenic and the stops in the local villages and towns really enhanced the journey.

I'd like to thank Ram and Lakpa for being great guides. Ram was quick to respond to my queries prior the trek when we were organising the trip and made sure to cover all bases. Both Ram and Lakpa were knowledgeable and I enjoyed learning about the places, customs and bits and pieces as we trekked along.

As someone relatively susceptible to altitude, they took very good care of me during the trip and paced the trek well. Even after we returned to Kathmandu, they went well out of their way to make sure the rest of my trip outside of the trek was smooth to which I cannot thank them enough for their support.

I will definitely be booking with them again and look forward to seeing more of what the mountains have to offer when I return.

The best cultural experience in the lower Himalayas - with Pikey Peak trek!

If you are uncertain about the higher altitude of the Himalayas don’t look past this wonderful lower alpine and spectacular cultural experience of the Pikey Peak trek!

The most in depth and kindest tour guide I had was Karma Sherpa assisting me was porter, Sonam Sherpa, he is Karma’s son-in-law! I got to meet their entire family and stayed in their village which was the starting point of the trek in Dhap!

I want to speak of Ram Barakoti Sherpa who was working with me closely at the booking end, his prompt communication and assistance was spot on!

In this trip, many Buddhist delights were on offer to admire, we pass Mani stones, stupas, of ancient Buddhist monasteries. The deep forests and everlasting rows of Rhododendrons, if you travel in April - May, cold nights enjoyed in front of hot fireplaces sipping hot ginger tea and enjoying Nepali Dal Bhat or Dahl Bhat. Passing villages, eating in tea house home kitchens with the families, a true on the ground experience.

The Hike to Pikey Peak (4065m) was glorious
‘THE BEST VIEWS OF EVEREST FROM THIS LOCATION’ – Sir Edmund Hillary! The Pikey Peak trek takes you to the remote and less- travelled Solu Khumbu Region.

On this trek, and from Pikey Peak, if the clouds are at rest you will have fantastic views of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Annapurna, Gaurishankar, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Sishapangma, Thamserku and Mera peak. I got to see them all! 🏔😇🙏😁
    .
Another highlight was visiting the gorgeous Thupten Choling Monastery. I could go on and on, but I loved this trip very much! Highly recommend 🙏

Sherpa Expedition and Trekking are exceptional communicators, their itineraries are excellent and the variety is amazing
